Oh I wasn't going to go tell her. I'm pretty sure she'll ask but she's more likely to see DH than me. He can tell her I was the one who made the call. I am the one who works at the National Fire Protection Association after all.....

I can't believe with how dry things are that people are still burning. Are they out of their minds? Do they not realize how fast fires can get out of control?

I've been lazy this week-end. I just couldn't get myself motivated. I'm surprised that Chuck hasn't gotten upset with me. I pretty much just sat and watched TV all day. There was a marathon of The Closer today.

Anne Marie- Great trip report!

We can't wait! Only 23 more days to go!

I hope the crowds thin down by then. It sure sounds like you still managed to accomplish alot!

I have been pondering over my ADR's for our trip. I have a couple that I am unsure of!:scared: I was on hold with Disney Dining FOREVER and finally gave up! I will try again tomorrow. It is probably too late to change anything, and I don't know if everything is all booked up or not, but knowing that I tried will ease my mind.

Katrina has signed up for a class in Iron Mountain at the community college on Monday's. She is going to be home every Monday night. That will be really nice. If only I was here every Monday night to see her! :confused3

Bernadette - Hugs to Joe! Hopefully he will be able to get some sleep!:wizard:
I never knew what non-profit you worked for! How appropriate for you to call the fire dept!:rotfl2:
I hope the PhotoPass site comes back eventually!

90 days out, I am wanting to book this as well!

Lunches are packed for tomorrow.

Kids are nicely playing Candy Land. That is until someone pulls the Plum and has to go back or someone pulls Queen Frostine and jumps ahead. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Elizabeth, we're going to be in Disney December 16-26. Does anyone know if we can book the carriage rides at the WL yet?

For those going in October, anyone interested in sharing a PhotoPass CD. I know that Chuck & I will want to get our pictures. This is one of our favorite parts of our trips.

Has anyone come up with any matching shirts for the October trip? I know there was talk about wearing matching ones for one or more of the meals.

Terry & Stephanie, I think we need to match for the F&WF on Sunday. Chuck is game as long as it isn't too feminine. :lmao:

Check out the budget board when the time gets closer & see if a fridge swap is going on for the resort. It costs nothing & you just take it too baggage claim for the next people to pick up when you check out.

we are considering going in Aug. of 2010. Would like to go 2009 but Virginia will be about 22 months. If we go in 2010 she will be a little over 21/2. I am considering All stars movies resort. The only draw back to those resorts is no fridge. If we do a moderate it will be french quarter.

Other the t-shirt for Terry & Stephanie's tea, I don't think anything has been made.

Anne Marie I am enjoying your TR!

Tom which ADR's are you unsure about? Good luck getting them changed :wizard:

Bernadette sorry you are still having problems with photopass.

Becky how many more days? :yay:

Elizabeth hope you get things straightened out with the school!

Jennifer :woohoo: on getting Virginia's room ready.

Hope all the kiddies that return to school tomorrow get some good sleep tonight & have a wonderful 1st day back tomorrow!

Both, Chuck says. :lmao: After thinking about it, we are thinking Friday. We want to spend Sunday at Epcot hanging out with Terry & Stephanie and I don't want to be exhausted. Saturday, we don't really have any plans other than meals.

Friday will work. So who's up for it?

Elin, what great pcicures. Sounds like a lot of fun.:goodvibes

Tammi, what an adventure! Thanks for posting pictures Elin. Tammi, what an amazing view.:goodvibes

Jen, so happy to see you. How's Olivia??:goodvibes

Deb, I would love to go to Pleasure Island on Friday. We'll already be in DTD at La Nuoba and Wolfgang Pucks. :goodvibes

Vicki, I'm going to email you the itinerary right now!:goodvibes

I'm watching Degrassi the next generation with my DGD. Seems to be a marathon on noogin. :cutie:

I completed even more tasks today. I don't know where I'm going to find my basement window well cover though. I'm going to try the Habitat resell store on Tuesday. :goodvibes :goodvibes

That makes 5 of us. Will Terri come too?

I think Epcot is open until Midnight on Friday. What time should we all meet up at Pleasure Island. I'm thinking 10 PM or later.

Does anyone know where to get a fan for the strollers. I remember reading about them somewhere but don't remember where. I want to get one or two before next summer. I want to take Olivia to the Zoo in Fort Worth and Sea world next summer.

We have a couple of them that we don't use anymore. I could mail them to you if you'd like.

One more day for me too! I start coteaching a prekindergarten class tomorrow!! Im a bit nervous, because its the first time m starting a school year, full time..but im really lookng forward to it too

You'll do fine.

I need some advice.....

We haven't had any rain here in at least 4 weeks. ALL the lawns are brown. Our teanage neighbor was having a fire in their yard-about 50 feet from our house-at 8pm. His mother's car wasn't in her "regular" parking spot near our house-they are actually adressed to another street but they have a backdoor off our street so she usually parks there. SO....I called the police and asked them to come talk to him. I figured he wouldn't do anything if we went to talk him and then he'd know who called the police. So the police sent a fire truck and put the thing out. OH....and their house is a very old cedar shingle barn-part of our house has a wooden cedar shingle roof. When the fire department got here the mother came out of the house.:scared1: YIKES....she must have given him permission to do it. Is she crazy????

SO I don't feel bad about calling the police but do we own up to her that we made the call?

I don't want to get on her bad side but I'm not going to risk loosing my house due to her bad judgement. Her house is only about 20 feet from us and if that huge thing caught fire ours would go too.

I wouldn't tell her. The fire Dept will just say that they got a call so she will not know who called.

duh I forgot about the tax thing. Maybe we will do Pop instead. Janet I will definately be watching the budget board for fridge swaps thanks for the reminder

I'm finally caught up again. We continued working on the railing and stairs today. I got the stringers cut while DD and DH went to the lumber yard for more screws. I do much better work when I'm alone :thumbsup2 We got the stairs almost built, still need to add a couple of kicker boards. Then we tried to figure out the rail. Between the heat and the multitude of opinion on how to do it, we finally decided to save it for another day. Too much arguing and I was too hot at that point to care. I'll try to upload a few pictures.

We had a nice BBQ tonight for family. There was 13 of us and it was really nice and relaxing and the menu was impromtu, but yummy. We are already enjoying the deck. We did put our dining canopy up as we needed to keep the sun off of us while eating.

Glad you were able to enjoy your deck! Look forward to seeing your handy work :thumbsup2

Alarms are set.........check

I hope everything is done and ready to go so we have an easy morning. Nicholas is excited, Alyssa is nervous but excited too. He promised to take care of his sister on the bus in the morning, so that's a bit of a relief for me.

Here is how I'm feeling now. Have you heard this before?

Dear World:
I bequeath to you today one little girl...in a crisp dress...with two brown eyes...and a happy laugh that ripples all day long.. and a flash of light brown hair that bounces in the sun when she runs.
I trust you'll treat her well.

She's slipping out of the backyard of my heart this morning...and skipping off down the street to her first day of school. And never again will she be completely mine.
Prim and proud she'll wave her young and independent hand this morning and say "Goodbye" and walk with little lady steps to the schoolhouse.

Now she'll learn to stand in lines...and wait by the alphabet for her name to be called. She'll learn to tune her ears for the sounds of school-bells...and deadlines...and she'll learn to giggle...and gossip...and look at the ceiling in a disinterested way when the little boy 'cross the aisle sticks out his tongue at her. And now she'll learn to be jealous. And now she'll learn how it is to feel hurt inside. And now she'll learn how not to cry.

No longer will she have time to sit on the front porch on a summer day and watch an ant scurry across the crack in the sidewalk. Nor will she have time to pop out of bed with the dawn and kiss lilac blooms in the morning dew. No, now she'll worry about those important things...like grades and which dress to wear and whose best friends is whose. And the magic of books and learning will replace the magic of her blocks and dolls. And now she'll find new heroes.

For five full years now I've been her sage and Santa Claus and pal and playmate and mother and friend. Now she'll learn to share her worship with her teachers ...which is only right. But no longer will I be the smartest woman in the whole world. Today when that school bell rings for the first time...she'll learn what it means to be a member of the group...with all its privileges and its disadvantages too.

She'll learn in time that proper young ladies do not laugh out loud...or kiss dogs...or keep frogs in pickle jars in bedrooms...or even watch ants scurry across cracks in sidewalks in the summer.
Today she'll learn for the first time that all who smile at her are not her friends. And I'll stand on the front porch and watch her start out on the long, lonely journey to becoming a woman.
So, world, I bequeath to you today one little girl...in a crispy dress...with two brown eyes...and a flash of light brown hair that bounces in the sunlight when she runs.

I trust you'll treat her well.

Now I'm going to have some ice cream and read through some TRs.

Tammi, Good luck tomorrow!

Leighanna starts her second full week tomorrow.:sad2:

She has already had her water bottle taken away. :scared1: Apparently gulping it down like a bottle of beer is not acceptable!;) (Hmmm... I wonder where she learned that from?:rolleyes1 )
She has already been told not to daydream. (She told me that she didn't even know that she could dream in the daytime. She thought that was pretty cool!)
She has learned the months of the year, doing the Macarena dance.
She has also learned the days of the week with another song.

My little princess is growing up, and becoming more independant.
All the things that you posted in that letter are true!

The two ADRs that I am unsure of are:

The Crystal Palace before MNSSHP. The time slot that I was given is 5:30, and I am not sure if this will give us enough time.
We really wanted LTT, which we had, but then my brother and his wife decided that they wanted to go too, and there was no room. So I settled on CP.

The other ADR that I have that I am unsure of is Sci Fi Drive In. I am afraid that the seating might be a little tight for my SIL. The last thing that I want to do is embarrass her at a restaurant, and after reading some reviews, I have been told that the seats are a little close to the table.

So if any miracle exist, I might be able to change some things around.

If not, then I guess I will have to keep things the way they are, and hope for the best.
