I have used them, and everything was :thumbsup2
Great! Thanks for letting me know. Did you ship to your house or resort? I'm going to ship to the resort.

Oh speaking of airfare...I love DING!!!! We have a $150 SW credit, plus a $28 refund coming because of the $50 Dings this weekend. I just had to change to fly into LAX instead of Orange County, but for $178 savings, I'll gladly take it! We'll just ride the DL shuttle to DL Hotel and my friend will pick is up there (much cheaper than taking the shuttles to a residential address even if they are only 6 blocks apart.

ETA: And of course you know I'm already trying to figure out how to finagle using that credit for a trip to WDW before it expires next spring. :rolleyes1

That's awesome!!!!

I have been very productive tonight--printed, stamped, and addressed all the postcards for the trip! These little things make it seem that the trip is really going to be here eventually :) 8 more days of student teaching then im ready to graduate--i cant believe it!

Well I am as some family members put it annal. I shipped to my house, as I ordered almost a year before my trip. (I didn't order food).

Great! Thanks for letting me know. Did you ship to your house or resort? I'm going to ship to the resort.

Talk about pixie dust! This is wonderful Glynis :thumbsup2

Later that morning, he was on a conference call with one of his board of directors when it hit him....the man he was on conference call with is a VP of Entertainment at DL (he's the one who does all the shows and parades). Dad mentioned the problem to Chris, and Chris put him on hold for a minute. When he came back, he told Dad that he'd talked to the VP in charge of Food and they'd made all the arrangements necessary for our whole group to eat at the Grotto. Dad is so thrilled!!! I told him that's a wonderful contact to have, and couldn't he parley that contact into lifetime passes for all Disney parks??? Dad laughed and said he'd see what he could do. So, that's my good Disney news! We get to have lunch with the Princesses!!!!!

WTG Anne Marie :woohoo:

Just got back from my WW's meeting.

I lost 4.8 lbs this week!

Chanon & I are leaving a day early :rolleyes1 My flight lands at 4:18pm & I think Chanon will get there a few minutes earlier. It's real now with the flights booked :woohoo:

:yay: :yay: What time are you guys getting in? I get there on 10/18 at 11:50am.

Thanks! Congrats on your awesome 20lbs!!!!!:cheer2:

How exciting for all of you! Can I borrow your dad's contact if we ever decide to venture west to DL?

Glynis, that sounds like it will be so much fun!! I think maybe we need to add this man to the DDA contact list.:rolleyes1

Congratulations!!! WTG!! :dance3: :cheer2: :dance3: :cheer2:

Anne Marie, you are doing GREAT! Congrats!!

I just FAXed my grocery list to OKW!!!

Yay!! Not much longer at all!

Janet and I booked our airfare! IT'S SO REAL NOW!!!! WHOO WHOOO!

Yay! I am so jealous of all of the October DDA attendees!

I had that same problem this morning! Suddenly I realized that Rachel needed to be out the door in 2 minutes and I hadn't made her lunch. Luckily, she made it as I didn't want to have to wake Terra up to drive Rachel to school.

I don't know if they still have them, but Party City has had Wiggles stickers in the past. It is with the Wiggles party stuff.

Thanks, Tia! I will have to check Party City!

Jen, you have done a terrific job this semester! And now it is almost time for DISNEY!

You are all invited to my pity party. I am just feeling really discouraged tonight. The job situation isn't going the way I thought it would and I am worried about how it will turn out. DH thinks I shouldn't tell my bosses about any of my interviews from now on, but that wouldn't be very nice!

My friend saw Roly-Poly and his nanny at Gymboree today, but the nanny said she isn't involved in the process of them finding a new nanny and doesn't know whether the parents liked me or not. That sounds like a lie. She didn't say anything about me coming up there next week to meet her, so either she doesn't know or they plan to cancel. To make matters worse I have not heard a peep from the family. The mom said she would e-mail me when they talked with their current nanny and had a definite date that she wants to be finished with the job. Not only has she not sent me a theoretical "start date", she hasn't acknowledged that she got my contract. And they haven't called any of my references. This is really NOT going well at all.:guilty:

The stupid agency DID call my references, but they haven't asked me to go on a single interview. That supports my theory that even though I have now jumped through all but 2 hoops (TB test and "Nanny Training" where they teach the girls not to wear a tube top and Daisy Dukes to an interview) they have no intention of sending me out to meet any families. They obviously prefer to place nannies who are barely old enough to be without a nanny to supervise THEM!

And I am still mad about the counterfeit ebay pins.

It has been raining all day, Dadboss was 30 minutes late AGAIN (he just did that to me on Friday) and I am in a big snit. So there you have it!

I'll let you know how the shipping to the resort works out.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Sorry you're feeling so discouraged. I think you may be jumping to conclusions. They may just be super busy.

But I've got to agree with DH. I wouldn't tell your current bosses anything until you have a job offer. You said you've got someone who can help them out if you do get an offer so I just wouldn't say anymore.

Elizabeth, it sounds like you need some cheering up, so Nicholas and Alyssa picked out a bunch of smilies for you:

:grouphug: :laundy: :3dglasses :thumbsup2 :cheer2: :dance3: :hippie: :rotfl2: popcorn:: :cool1: :scared1: :confused3 pirate:

If I were you I would call the new family, just to follow up. You know, give them the "I just wanted to touch base with you" spiel and maybe you can get better feedback. Hopefully you are just getting the wrong impression!

Chanon and Janet - Congrats on the airfare!!!! What airline? Is it Airtran? What time do you leave on the 22nd?

Chanon & I are leaving a day early :rolleyes1 My flight lands at 4:18pm & I think Chanon will get there a few minutes earlier. It's real now with the flights booked :woohoo:

You ain't kidding!! I've just booked our return flight....it worked out with the best flights...even if I have to go to FL a day early!!

Elizabeth,
I agree with Tammi, can't hurt to call.
