Thanks. That's what I was thinking. I guess a trip to the clinic is in order today. I flew once with sinus congestion and I thought my face was going to explode. Seems I remember going through this with Alyssa just before leaving in October. Only hers was an ear infection. Don't my kids know not to get sick right before vacation!

how can they know not to get sick before a vacation if they don't know about the vacation???:rotfl:

The yellow gunk usually meant (in my kids at least) a loverly cold!! Better safe than sorry though!!

Good Morning DDA!!:goodvibes

Thanks to you early risers for keeping it down today!!

I have some yellow Granny Smith apples that I need to use up before they go to waste. Anyone have a easy recipe for something to do with these, besides applesauce? I am making porkchops for supper, was trying to think of some way to cook these with the apples :confused3

I slept with that stupid bite guard in my mouth. How uncomfortable! I don't know how long that's gonna last. Plus I took 800 mg of motrin before bed.

Tammi trust me you will get used to it. When I first started wearing one I had to wear it 24/7 for 6 months. I only took it out to brush my teeth. That was really no fun and everybody had something to say about it. LOL

I sure hope your jaw gets better real soon.

My neice is getting married in August and she wanted me to ask the AAA agent something for her. What is her screen name so I can PM her a message.

That would be Chanon :) Her user ID is yellowfish78

Thanks I knew her name was Chanon but could not remember her user name. LOL

I do that nearly all the time with the entire crowd....I can tell you everybody's real name but screen name it's like "give me a few seconds, I'll get it" :goodvibes

Hi everyone,

Just got home from the school book fair for Daniel..$38 later! Sophie has hers this afternoon & Katie's is at the end of the week. I'm broke!

but there are worse things to be broke over!!:thumbsup2

Maybe you won't find as much at the other ones ;) :lmao:

Our arrival date is Aug. 15 and my ADR call date is Feb. 16. I can't remember off the top of my head what date Anne Marie said her call date is.

There is a trick to the FDP times. If you call back about 3 weeks prior you can usually move to a later time. When the ADR booking window first opens up you can only book for like 4 PM. The other option is to just book a plain ADR and take your chances on Fantasmic seating.

Bernadette, if the 5 of you would like to meet for dinner then I can book an ADR for all of us (Anne Marie's family too, if they decide to do H&V). We can think about whether or not we want to do it as FDP. Or we can book a plain ADR and try to convert it to the FDP closer to the trip. Whatever works for you guys. We are doing lunch at Sci Fi next week so it isn't on my list for August.

Plenty of time for us to kick around the different options!:)

I start calling on 2/22. (Ariival date of 8/21) I am waiting for TGM's best days chart which will hopefully come out before then. I was thinking the same thing too about H&V (timing) Last year we did Sci -Fi for lunch which the kids absolutely loved & we must do again this summer. Well when it was time for dinner at MM no one could eat, it was just way too much (we had a 11 lunch at SF & a 5:40 at MM) so I was thinking we should just eat at SF & forget a sit down meal. Just hope we can get seats for Fantasmic. I am batting it around that we should just do H&V with the FDP.

Thats what i was thinking, I always feel like you can never have too many good books. I just wasn;'t planning on $90-$100 for the book fair. OUCH.:rotfl:

Ohhh, dangerous place for my budget! Love the bookfairs.

Lindsay,
I think the kids just have to grow out of it on their own. Sophie was very scared of the characters when she was 2. At every meal she would put her fork up in the air & wave it at the characters like "stay away from me!" we never forced her. I would always take the picture with katie & Daniel (who loved them) & snapped sophie in mid -fork-wave. It took 2 trips but on her 3rd trip when she was 4 she just started going up with her brother & sister & enjoying the characters. Good luck!!!!!!!

This was her when she was 2.

To this day none of my kids will go near Chuck E Cheese.:rotfl:

What about Santa, Lindsay? Is she afraid of him too? This was the first year I got Alyssa to go see Santa, other than when she was an infant.

She did well with Santa this year. They came to visit us in December, and I took them to the children's party my firm throws, and Santa is there for pics. SIL was more concerned about how DN3 would do, but they both did just fine, walked right up and sat on his lap, told him what they wanted, posed for pics, etc. SIL was shocked! Maybe they were trying to be brave in front of their Aunt Lindsay! :rotfl: Or better yet, I told them Santa wouldn't know what to bring them if they didn't tell him themselves!

Tammi,

Yea I would go to the dr & get an antibiotic for sure. Hope Nicholas is doing better!!!

Maybe some kind of spiced cinnamon apples? I bet that would go well with the pork.

Of course, I'm not a cook, so I don't have any recipes for you! :rotfl:

So, I've been checking out the first reviews of the P&P party last night. It sounds like it is well worth the $$! :thumbsup2 Lots of unusual characters out (meet-and-greet with Jack Sparrow! :faint:), good parade and fireworks. Plus Tinkerbell is on a float!!! :woohoo:

Jonathan and I were waiting to decide if we were going to hit the party or not, but we are for sure going now! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
