In my totally unbiased opinion, she is absolutely beautiful!!!

Beth

I totally agree!!! She is precious! Glad mom & baby are doing well! Thanks for posting the pictures for us.

Tammi,

Where did you get the matching outfit for Alyssa's doll? BK is getting the AG Emily doll (the new Molly and Emily movie) from Santa as well as all of Emily's accessories and outfits. I don't have any matching stuff yet and am still looking. Thanks!

I found a few online stores. I ordered the outfits from here: http://agirlandherdoll.stores.yahoo.net/index.html

Here are 2 more: http://www.dollyandme.com/index.htm and threesistersgirlsndollsclothing.com/
Good luck.

Asking for some help and/or suggestions here.....

As I mentioned earlier, Alyssa is asking for the Amazing Allysen doll. She even asked Santa for him when she went to talk to him. This is after my prodding that if she doesn't go see Santa he won't know what to bring her. Now I feel obligated to get this for her. But I've read so many things from parents that the doll is annoying, their kids haven't played with it much, didn't work properly, etc. How would you handle this?

Also, I was thinking of getting her the American Girl doll instead of this. I thought if I could get her the AG Just Like Me doll (same hair/skin tone/eye color) and a matching outfit, maybe she wouldn't be as upset if she didn't get Allysen. BUT......the smallest clothes size that they sell for kids is 7/8. Alyssa is a 5. Does anyone know of any places where I can get matching doll/kid clothes? Do any of the stuffy bear places sell matching kid outfits to go with the bear outfits?

Tammi, I don't know if this has been answered yet, but, last year we got Leighanna the Amazing Amanda doll. Biggest mistake! It is supposed to have voice recognition, and respond to your childs voice. Well it didn't work most of the time. It kept saying "You're not my Mommy!" :confused3 It was so annoying. This was after we spent at least a half an hour trying to program it. Also, it looks alot cuter on the commercials, and on the box. When we got it out of the box it looked a little creepy. Leighanna doesn't like it and it just "sleeps" in a dresser drawer. Her friends are scared of it too! Biggest waste of $90 that I spent. JMHO!
Hope this helps.

Thanks, Tom. Your opinion of it goes along with what I've been reading. Allysen is the newest addition to that line.

Tammi - I've done a lot of research recently on AG dolls, as my oldest niece (who will be 5 in Jan.) asked for one for Christmas. (She wants Emily, as her name is Emily!)

All I've read leads me to believe that AG's are the best investment, although they are pricey up front. I actually also got the opportunity to see "Emily" in person, as my Barnes & Noble had she and "Molly" on display for a joint promotion for the new movie. She seemed very well made, and I could see why little girls love them!

I love the one you picked out for Alyssa - I'm sure she will be a hit! :goodvibes

I haven't actually seen one of those dolls, but they completely creep me out on the commercials! I figured it was just me...but maybe not.

We have more American Girl dolls than I want to admit (thanks to grandma). They are beautiful! I actually bought Laura Bitty Baby for her 2nd Christmas, and I was awed when I opened her. All of Laura's AG dolls have been well-loved and well-played with, but they still look terrific. I'm a little sad that there will be no AG stuff under the tree this year for the first time in many years. Maybe I'll have to look for a little something...

Hi all!

I am caught up, although things are pretty busy here! I don't know why, but things seem so much more hectic this year than they were last. With all the holiday stuff, I've almost (only almost!) forgotten that we're leaving for WDW in just a little over a week! It will be nice to get away to just enjoy the holiday atmosphere at WDW - hopefully all the craziness will be done at that point, and we can just sit back and enjoy the holidays.

I'll be in and out this week, as we're preparing for family to come visit this weekend, so that means all the Christmas decorating has to be done (just have to get the ornaments on the tree!), as well as some of the gifts wrapped. Plus, grocery shopping, cleaning, etc. You know how it goes!

Here's some :grouphug: :wizard: and :Pinkbounc for everyone. Seems like there has been some good news lately, and I can't wait to hear further about everyone's recent trips!

Debbie

Thank you for the cute Christmas card. :)

Thought I would post some pictures of the tree in living room. It is not our Disney tree. That is in Kristin's room and I will take pictures of it later. I collect Santas and have many ornamnents as well as figurines. Only a few fit on the new slimline tree I bought last weekend.

Love the tree Elin!

Good Morning Everyone!

Friday is our company's Christmas party, so we have a sitter for that night. It is also our 22nd wedding anniversary. I can't beilieve it has been that long. We got married when we were 19, and a few relatives said that it would never work out. I bet they are eating their words about now! :goodvibes

It is really horrible. He'll be in the burn unit for at least 3 weeks, and then there will be skin graft surgeries for his hands and his back. I'm going to Jill's today with some freezer meals for the family. I'll keep you all updated.

Prayers for all involved!!

Lovely tree, Karen!

Ellen - Goodness! I bet Jamie is exhausted. I hope she recovers quickly from the fever and surgery. Hayley is beautiful. You all must be so proud! I forget...did they know that they were having a girl?

Thank Tammi. Yes, we knew it was a girl. We are all so very proud.
