talking to my hubby on pain meds is a funny thing!!
I called him on his cell to discuss whether they thought he was going to stay at work or send him home, they ended up sending him home:
Hubby: I'm getting a ride home
Me: good, what about our car and how are you getting into work tomorrow?
Hubby: I'm getting a ride home
Me: that's great what about tomorrow
Hubby: I may not work tomorrow.
Me: good to know, how about the car?
hubby: I'm getting a ride home.
me: that's good, what about the car?
hubby: somebody is driving me home.
me: car???
hubby: oh some one's driving me home in our car and some one else is following.
me: can you call Dixie to pick up the kids or should I?
me: how are the pain meds?
hubby: they are great...I am talking more than I normally do. (duh!!
)
me: so can you call Dixie or shall I.
hubby: I will in a couple of minutes
me: call her now before you forget!
The funny thing is he was more talkative AND I could understand him!! (He has a speech impediment that his parents never helped him with that makes him hard to understand)
