I might be able to swing a Pittsburgh trip! But I might have to have some kids with me.

Beth
I am betting that Tammi would also have kidlets with her! ::yes::

Pittsburgh is only 4 hours from me - if we plan it on a weekend where there is a baseball game I could convince steve to go - as part of his "I want to go to every major league ballpark" plan

Did someone say Duck Tours in Pittsburgh??? That's only an hour away from me! Count me in!
Maybe our next DDA meet outside of WDW will be in Pittsburgh, of all places. I don't think one of us lives there! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

 How is everyone's day going?

Tia - I hope you are getting everything done that you need to for your trip.

Chanon - Yes, you did hear talk of a duck tour in Pittsburgh. Elin is on a quest to do all duck tours. I'm assisting her in her ambition.
Tom - Good to see you. Enjoy your time off and Happy Anniversary!!!!
You quack me up! :rotfl2:

I am not certain when it became a "quest" of mine. I think someone else volunteered me for this particular crusade after we did the DC and Boston Duck Tours within a month of each other.

We were supposed to have a DDA meet in Baltimore this fall with a Duck Tour as part of the itinerary... wonder when we could reschedule that one?

Now I need pixie dust and advice!!

Jim fell this morning on a small patch of ice. His arm will be in a sling for a couple of weeks.....I don't drive (don't have a license...long story) so we need pixie dust that he won't find driving hard to Golden. That's the need for pixie dust.

advice:

Cassidy thinks Abi found Cassidy's present from the big man....what do I do? This really is his last year coming to my house...either that or he doesn't come back this year??? HELP!!!
OUCH! Is it broken or just badly bruised? I hope it is his non-driving arm. :wizard: :wizard:

I like Kate's suggestions about the present delimma.

Pixie Dust for Jim. I hope his driving goes OK and he is not in too much pain.

As for the gift issue... remind me of the age of Abi? Would she believe that Santa gave it to Mom and Dad to hold onto so it wouldn't get lost or misplaced in all the Christmas Eve excitement??? :confused3

I have not been to a Pirate's game in decades! A double header at old Forbes Field used to be my birthday present every year. I LOVED Roberto Clemente!

I'm guessing bruised but not sure...he didn't go into that.

Only problem with Kate's suggestion.....Jim doesn't know where the receipt is!!! :confused3 and Abi still believes you can not exchange Santa presents....because the elves made them!!

::yes:: it certainly is! And the Inner Harbour is wonderful and the Aquarium and the Imax Theater... we could have a very nice midwinter DDA trip.

I so miss NYC's skyline. :guilty:

How is that WOD compared to the one in DTD?

It had a wide variety of stuff but less of each thing. At WDW items have their own room, their is a jewelry room, food room, pin room. At NYC items have smaller spaces but their is stuff in NYC that isn't at WDW.

At NYC there are three levels. The top floor is character meet and greets, on the hour for about 20 minutes they have character meet and greets it was Goofy Santa and Chip and Dale, I didn't see them because it was about 1:30pm when we got to the top level and others didn't feel like waiting till 2pm to see the characters, so we didn't. Had we known that we would have headed straight to the third floor, that was probably the announcement they were running but we couldn't understand it due to the Christmas music and all the other shoppers. On the third floor they also have the fancy expensive paintings and statues, that have their own separate store at WDW. They also had snowglobes, bobbleheads, wedding things and other cermaic type things on the top level.

Second floor had Mr. Potato head station, hats, pirate section, stitch section, pooh section, plush, mostly toys and games.

The first floor had New York City themed Disney merchandise, clothing, ornaments, pins, food, kitchen stuff, princess/ girls section with build your own crowns.

The only thing I bought was a Christmas ornament, there was other stuff I would have liked but didn't want to carry it all day.

Becky, you look AMAZING! You're face is so skinny!!! I just have to tell you what an inspiration you are to me!!! You have such a great attitude about everything!

Looks like you had a great time in NYC! Wish I had been there, too!

Thank you, I couldn't have done it with all of you. You are also an inspiration to me and many others here.

Dr.'s appointment went well, like suspected he thinks its just a swollen lymph node, I have to go back in a month. He commented on how good it is that I am continuing to lose. :woohoo: :Pinkbounc
