Hi I have another deluxe CL question.

If we stay in a deluxe room with a water view do you see any fireworks at night?????

We just came back from a four night stay at the BWI. We stayed in a GS. The GS are in dire need of renovations. The room had worn carpeting, painting needed, bathroom rip out needed( rust and mildew on the ceiling of the master shower) and a "musky" smell. We did not complain, just dealt with it, because we were only there for four nights. But be rest assured we will not be returning.
It was obvious to me that they were getting ready for the renovation due to the freshly varnished stairs.

If I would have know about the upcoming renovations I would NOT have stayed there.

The deluxe rooms only have Boardwalk/water views. I've never been bothered by noise, though sometimes you can here people below. From your balcony, you can actually see Wishes to the right in the distance, but no Epcot or Hollywood Studios fireworks.

There are some deluxe rooms on the 3rd floor, the lounge is on the 4th. The deluxe rooms are located above Seashore Sweets and the Bakery. I have never been bothered by noise from the BW at night. You can see the fireworks from whishes form the BW rooms. The lounge has a view of the fireworks from Illuminations.
I loved the room we had on the 3rd floor. There is a back staircase that takes you up to the Innkeeper's Club entrance where you will need your room key to enter.

Can anyone tell me what kind of activities are going on the Boardwalk on Halloween night? We will be staying in the Villas on Halloween night with our two kids (DS5, DD2). I've heard that they have trick or treating. :thumbsup2 But I've also heard someone say that they saw some characters out on the Boardwalk on Halloween too! :confused3 Can anyone confirm or elaborate on which charaters we might see? Thanks!

No one?:confused3

We (Husband, Me, 7 yos, and 3 yos) are staying at BWV for the first time in July--right at the time of renovations. So is BWI different from the BWV studio we are staying in. Sorry if this sounds ignorant, but I am not very knowledgeable about Disney resorts.

Thank you all for the helpful information. Any pictures or advice you wish to share please feel free!!

We were at the BWI in 2005 and they had trick or treating on the Boardwalk, cookie making and face painting with a DJ. Not sure if they do that anymore, but it was fun and free! :)

We'll be there for Halloween again this year - looking forward to enjoying Halloween Disney Style!!!!!

does anyone have anymore information about the renovation?

They are sprucing up the Innkeepers Lounge with new paint. Also the goal is to make the kitchen bigger and up to date. The CM thought possibly new carpet and hopefully new furniture. The rooms are getting flat screen Plasma TV with new cabinets, new bedding. We are heading down in about 3 weeks and will post something when we come back:thumbsup2

Thanks you always have great information!

BWV is Boardwalk Villas. It is the Disney Vacation Club half of the Boardwalk Resort.

Boardwalk Inn is the regular hotel half.

The BWV's are Home Away From Home resorts, meaning they have kitchens, and only get mousekeeping once a week.

here are a couple sites for you to see

Depends on if you rent/own or are paying cash for your reservation as to what your housekeeping situation will be. If you are paying cash for your stay you will have daily housekeeping.

Check out the DVC boards on this site for lots more information.:)

I did not like that walk AT ALL up the staircase and VERY long to the elevator. If you can request do so on the 4th floor deluxe corner room. Best Bang for your buck for sure!
