Congrats on staying at the Poly!!! We love it there!!!
I would suggest Rarotonga longhouse. It's just next to the GCH, close to both pools, the bus stop & laundry are st the end of the building along w/ the bus stop.
The fridge is large enough-
Yes & yes-romantic & relaxing-but I think the GCH lobby area is loud in comparison to WL. As far as family secrets...I don't have any. I hope that you enjoy tour stay there-we've stayed 5 times now & are excoted that we will be trying the CL next trip!!!! Have a great time!:goodvibes

Thank you so much for your quick response!!! I hope to be one of the people who swears never to stay anywhere else but there when I return.

Hot 28-year-old hubby??

Do you have garden view booked?
I'd request ground floor of Niue. Most rooms in that longhouse have a grassy area beyond the patio and your little boy would love to be able to run around in the grass, I'm sure, rather than being confined to the room and, possibly, a balcony. (2d floor rooms in the majority of longhouses, including Niue, do NOT have balconies.)
You'd be able to sit on your patio while your son runs around a bit. I think that would make things MUCH more fun for everyone ;)
Niue is GREAT b/c it's so close to EVERYTHING - both pools, the Great Ceremonial House, the parking lot and bus stop, the food court. It's also a small building and you are quickly in and out of it. We LOVED staying there in March.
Here is a pic of our patio. MOST 1st floor rooms at Poly do not have such a nice space for running around, fyi.

Thank you again as well!

I'm not sure about the gallon, but the fridge will most definitely hold two half-gallons of milk with room to spare.

Thanks!!!

Okay one more question... the only thing that my husband is upset about with the Disney hotels is the lack of variety in TV channels. Seeing that I have a 22 month old, we do spend a lot of time at the hotel. We subscribe to Netflix, so I was wondering if I brough mmy cheapo target DVD player, do you think we could hook it up to the TV in the room?

Can anyone tell me how the tokeleu (lol I dont have the correct spelling in front of me) :lmao: is?

I am thinking of requesting that longhouse with a balcony if possible for a GV room.

It is just my husband and I in Sept so I was thinking the balcony would be nice. Has anyone stayed in that longhouse? Do you have any pictures say from the balcony? I would love to hear peoples thoughts and perhaps see some pics. Thanks so much.

We were in Tokelau last year and requested it again for our trip NEXT WEEK!!!!!

Like you, we wanted a balcony, not a patio, for our GV room, and ours was delightful.

I thought the location was ideal-- close to both the GCH and the TTC (for those late nights at Epcot), quiet right in the midst of everything.

Keep your fingers crossed that we get a Tokelau balcony room, OK?

Hi thanks for the response. What were you facing from your balcony? Was the view nice?

Please write back so we can know if you got what you requested and if you have any tips lol TIA

All right. I couldn't resist. 28 day-FOUR WEEKS!- and we are there! DME tags came last week. I am SO ready for a hotel holiday! Keep posting and making me happy that I have booked (my very first!) MK view at Poly!

Here is a recipe I found for it:

Lapu Lapu
Tambu Lounge

1 oz. Meyer's Rum
1/2 oz. Bacardi 151
Scorpion Mix (half and half sour mix and orange juice)
Garnish: Cherry
Served in a pineapple

Thanks so much!!! Now, a dumb question , i am sure -- but is this drink ONLY served in the lounge?? Meaning, you can't get it out by the pool and enjoy it outside?

You can order a Lapu Lapu at O'Hana and Kona Cafe as well as Tambu Lounge. I'm almost positive that you can't get them at the pool bar. You could buy one at Tambu and take it to the pool though.

How odd that they come in a pineapple and don't have any pineapple juice in them! I'm not a drinker but i think I hear thease calling my name already for my Dec. trip :lmao:

That's sweet  The Poly is sooooo special :cloud9:
Yes it is. It was my first WDW resort waaaay back. We had just moved to the US from Wales (we're not Welsh, we're Canadian) and I remember counting down on a calendar in our kitchen. It was a long flight and when we finally arrived and were in our room, my dad (who was killed in a car accident a few years later) was like a big kid, jumping up and down and saying, "We're here! We're here!" I'll never, ever forget that trip!

You can get Lapu Lapu at the pool bar,but come with out the pineapple and I think you get more in the plastic cup.

I will be there Oct 16th to 25 Tahiti blg.( know this because I have an HC accessible MK view and its the only one)

Is there anything different about a HC accessible room? I will have an ecv but can walk, just need it for distance and getting around at the world. I don't want to take a room that might be needed by someone who can't walk.
TIA

Our trip is less than 2 months away I have always loved the Poly and I finally get to stay there we have eaten at Ohanas aolt and walked around the resort many times when we were there (staying at other resorts of course)
My soon to be husband and i will most definitely be getting a Lapu Lapu i have seen them on many posts and cant wait to try them.
We are doing the land and sea trip with the DCL and I was wondering what building is the best to try and request(other than Hawaii b/c we dont have the funds to upgrade)
