Thanks! My ds does pay attention sometimes!LOL! Do you know how often those boats run?
And yes, I am definitely getting used to the "cattle hoarding" thing! LOL I made it to my first rope drop last month and I was almost worried for my safety (getting to TSM at DHS!) LOL

I'm not sure about the gallon, but the fridge will most definitely hold two half-gallons of milk with room to spare.

They run pretty much all day. You might have to wait 10-15 minutes if you just miss one. The boats almost always work really well for us.

Re. rope drop at DHS and rushing - I've been there  Never again (although TSM is worth it!!)

Have you heard back from IPO? Hope so!

It is the strangest thing...they are getting my e-mails and for some reason I am not getting any of theirs. I gave them my husbands e-mail and still nothing. :confused3 I think it is something on their end possibly. I don't even get the auto reply. I felt like a fool because I sent them the same e-mail like three times and since I did not get the auto rely I just assumed that it was not going through.

So after a day of clearing our filters and checking the spam box and basically scratching my head because it is just weird:mad: Then I remembered I have an old AOL account and it was still active . So they sent it to that address and now we are good to go:thumbsup2 They have been really great and helpful.

We are only doing two ADR's. CRT for breakfast (DD's one choice) and the Spirit of Aloha which we decided to try it this trip since we have not before. We are going to wing it for the rest of our meals. Between the lounge offerings, Captain Cooks and CS in the parks, we should do fine. If we decide to do more TS it will be walk in or use the CL CM's to help us with ressies on a day by day thing.

We are excited to celebrate Halloween at WDW!

:goodvibes:cool1:
Woohoo! I'm super excited b/c it seems we may be going a month earlier than anticipated! We planned this trip last AUGUST for this coming December. :rotfl2: And now we have an opportunity to go on a cruise with several family members in January so we are probably going to move our Dec Disney trip to early November! WOOHOO!
Has anyone been in early Nov? I'm hoping it's not toooo crowded due to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot? Any thoughts??? How's the weather? Will we be able to swim in that lucious volcano pool in early Nov??

We were there the 17th to the 23rd and stayed GVCL. The resort is so much more beautiful in person than in pictures. When we arrived, we were taken to the hawaii building via the golfcarts. the castmembers there were amazing and so helpful. My dbf was given 2 pictures of characters and their signatures welcoming him home. It was such a sweet gesture.
the lounge is fantastic! the croissants and cinnamon rolls at breakfast were my favorite. As for housekeeping, they were great and our room was always spotless with plenty of fresh towels.
We ate at kona cafe and ohana and had drinks at tambu lounge and the barefoot pool bar. Kona was disappointing. The food was cold when we got it, and the service was very slow. Ohana was amazing! We were seated in the back away from all the action which was great because it was just us 5 adults. Our server was so much fun and the food was great!
Overall, my vacation was perfect! I cannot express how beautiful this resort really is. I was crying on our last night there because I didn't want to leave.
anyone have any questions? i will post pictures soon.

Welcome back! Glad you had a great time. We're styaing GVCL in less than 2weeks now :woohoo: Where was your room and how did you like the location. I requested 3rd floor near the lounge but I'm having second thoughts because I've read it can be a little noisy. I'd love to see pictures and hear any other tidbits you'd like to share.

We stayed in room 3527, third floor right in the middle. We had a tree blocking half our balcony but had a nice view of the quiet pool. I loved being able to sit on our balcony and being able to hear the ferry and the MK train whistle! the location was great and it definitely wasn't noisy. There is a closed door that separates the hallway from the lounge so i wouldn't worry about the noise from the lounge.

Thanks for the info! I think the noise the poster was referring to was due to the elevator/service area. Maybe I'll request closer to the middle just to be safe. Are you able to access the lounge from the 3rd floor?

Yes. There is a seating area on the third floor and a staircase to take you to the second floor lounge.

Here is a recipe I found for it:

Lapu Lapu
Tambu Lounge

1 oz. Meyer's Rum
1/2 oz. Bacardi 151
Scorpion Mix (half and half sour mix and orange juice)
Garnish: Cherry
Served in a pineapple
