I can't believe I didn't get any pool shots!! I will look again--I'm sure there are some.
The door to the observation deck is in the opposite corner from Chef Mickeys (NW corner of the resort). There's a small shop back there in the corner (Concourse Sundries & Spirits) that sells food items, wine, etc. (They also sell SD memeory for your camera. $27 for 2G I know this, because we left DS's memory card in my computer at home!) When you come off the escalators, go straight, past Fantasia and its in the back left corner. The walkway to BLT is accessed in the NE corner, or back right corner, (tho observation deck runs the whole north side of the building) as you come off the escalators to the 4th floor. Ask any CM--that's who told us to go check it out: one of the DVC CMs that sits at their table right there at the top of the escalators.
Yes, a 1/2 gallon of milk will fit in the fridge. No problem. I had almost an entire case of water in there, plus some yogurt and a few juice and other drink bottles.
Dh's laptop went into the safe with room to spare--you'll fit a 17" one with no troubles. On top of it we had a few wallets, a camera and my 75-300mm lens plus there was plenty of space. It's a great safe since you can program it to your own pin or use a room key or credit card.
The topiary out by the pool/dock area. That's the sand bar in back on the right. You could get drinks and order some basic food from there. We never actually got around to ordering from there. Restrooms/showers are accessed through that breezeway and Lockers are available ( I think for $1 or $1.50, we used one on check out day but I forget)
Another figure out by the pool/dock area
Looking back from the boat dock (it was lightly raining when I took this, as we waited for a boat to Ft Wilderness and HDDR) You can just see the pool slide to the right of that cabana (and back a ways--it's in the main pool)
A view of BLT next door, with the marina docks in the foreground
Hammocks by the beach in front of the Garden Wing were peaceful to lay in one afternoon. There is a sand volleyball court--you can get a ball by showing your room key at the marina office. The deck you see is the quiet pool. Those are the cabanas that are for rent (I think $190/day or half-day) No one rented them, that I saw, while we were there. They were closed off for the rain but were open when the weather was nice. They had a fridge, tv, 2 lounge beds and 2 cushioned lounge chairs. Very nice.
Beautiful flowers left in our room from the Disney Florist. They were from the CMs at the font desk, because we had some trouble with our tickets. THey smelled wonderful! I hated to leave them in FL.
A detail of that vase--which I DID bring home!
The White Chocolate Monorail ($40 from the CR private dining) that was my DH's birthday 'cake'.
And a shot from inside on the 4th floor (where Chef Mickey's, the gift shops, and Contempo Cafe are located)
