I am so sorry to read about your loss Liesa. Our sympathies to you and your family.

Cap't Oblivious- 4 (or is is 5?)
You didn't list the Captain's score.

Just wanted to ask if you'd all pray for my 'tude today, and the rest of the week. I lost my last grandparent today, which means my parents will likely not be able to make it up here. After all the anticipation and excitement, and work I've done to make it such a special time, I am truly bummed out. I did not know my grandfather very well during the last years, but it is still hard to see my parents go through all of this. Please ask for an attitude adjustment in my heart and peace to reign! Thanks, Friends!

With FAR too little opening, out emerged one of the straw ornaments that I so coveted on our trip to Nuremberg- which I couldn't get because the shop I saw them in was closed on our way out. Along with that was a box of assorted German chocolates, a bar of marzipan, and some choco covered hazelnuts (filberts to some of you).

Sorry to hear about your camera too! But what a great suprise to get in the midst of everything
On top of that, my camera died completely- the lens won't open at all.
The POC is done! Time for a new super-de-dooper jobbie!
And what great timing to cheer you up on a day when you really needed it!
Certainly, a better pickup line would have been:
"Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?"![]()

That's a good one Mark!!Hi All,
Thanks for all your well wishes and encouragement. You are right, Mark, we'd all like to be in control and know what's around the corner, but can't. There's joy in the journey, but sometimes heartache as well.
I received a MAJOR bit of cheer this morning, Perfect in timing, in fact!
A VERY smashed box (the USPS really did a number on this one) arrived at the door and what to my wondering eyes did it say?? It was from Germany!!!!!With FAR too little opening, out emerged one of the straw ornaments that I so coveted on our trip to Nuremberg- which I couldn't get because the shop I saw them in was closed on our way out. Along with that was a box of assorted German chocolates, a bar of marzipan, and some choco covered hazelnuts (filberts to some of you).
THANKS!!! Ladies!!! Magdalene and Katharina that was VERY thoughtful of you and so sweet! (literally!) I want to post pictures but am horribly handicapped with the only computer in the house being a Mac. On top of that, my camera died completely- the lens won't open at all.
Anyway, I'm out the door for last minute gifts and the gigantic shopping trip to the grocery store. I'll pick up some eggnog for any of you who might happen to stop in.![]()

I loved the fact that you moved your son into his dorm with economy. I hope he is still doing well, and will be home for the holiday (or is he there already?)? Congrats on finishing your TWO 5K's!
I give you so much credit for getting out there and doing that! I can barely get my behind up off the couch.....moving on. How fantastic that you got complimented on your fabulous toes! They are quite stunning, I must say!
Also I was glad to see that the DISMeet worked out so well. It looked like you all had a great time!
to the lovely ladies from Germany for your care package. It looks like it had perfect timing in getting there when you needed it most.Hey, I don't want to be like my Mom either -- that would be really weird!

I remember you taking that picture of Tate...after he/she had had a couple of mimosa's and was feeling pretty good.

That was a riot when Rosie sent that card around for signatures and "miss you" comments, and you proceeded to fill it up in its entirety! It was an honest mistake....but still very funny. I wanted to tell that story when I got back, but knew I should save it for you to tell.

Just be glad he was not an OB/GYN!!!
Who knows what kind of comment you would have gotten then!
eXciting update. My mother is always late too among other things.
In fact my husband will tell me to stop having "an episode "A La Maris from "Fraiser" if I start exhibiting any other of her most wonderful qualities.![]()
OMGosh, you're killing me, Pat! That was rich!! The meet looked like it was a total blast! Wish I had been there.
Waaaatch it wiiiiiigle, see it jiggle....

Men, like little children some times. Seriously busted!!
Yeaaaah, Andrews home!!![]()
But it also reminds us at every meal that had Mom been here, it would have been 9. We really miss here this year!! We will miss her Christmas bread, her praying for us like crazy, and her spending hours with the littlest grandkids.
many happy memories! Y'all have been working so hard on the house in Salem, you deserve a wonderful time with all your family and friends.![]()
I pray God bless your party a 100 fold and may He give you rich memories and fun times to remember for years to come.
I can't tell you how many times I've tried to figure it out, I think I'm seeing one of the letters wrong. It's really cool though, I've just never figured it out.![]()

Yes I saved the postcard episode for Liessa too!!!She didn't mention that along with the glasses were some other goodies one of which looked like a white rock and we all handled it carefully and gingerly sniffed ... all of us thought it was some kind of "poo" I think it was "pluto" who acyually tasted it !!
I'll let liessa tell ya what it is !!
