That Fantasy can't steal our Magic! March 30, 2012

I did manage to get the kids to go through their clothes and pick out what they might wear... :laundy: You would think I was asking them to get teeth pulled or something.
Still trying to get DH to do the same... Ya right! :lmao:

I know, right?

I did get myself packed but will wait for next weekend for Dylan. As it is between my clothes, and both our evening wear -- I have managed to fill up 3 suitcases -- I guess I will have to go to a 4th.:confused3 I was trying to only use 3 -- but I should have known better!!!

I had to buy all new clothes for DD so I know what she has! LOL

I have yet to go through my own clothes! I hate trying clothes on! ESP when they don't fit like they used to!!!!!!!!!! :-(

Oh well! It has to be done. I will do that tomorrow after dentist appt in the am.

We packed too. (Well everyone except DH who will pack a few hours before the flight.) Now I can panic for 287 more hours that I'm forgetting something.

Got all the FE stuff finished - which I thought I had done months ago but then DH and I got a new brainstorm and made a second item for delivery. Can't wait!

We are still undecided about formal night. Anybody else thinking about heading to Topsiders that night instead of dressing up? The girls would be disappointed but I just don't have time to dress shop and I don't like anything I currently own that's 'formal'. If only they rented gowns like they rent tuxes on board!

You do not "have" to dress formal.
I usually only wear a simple black dress with a nice sheer wrap scarf. Dress it up with some jewelry. Very similar to what I would wear to Palo at night. :thumbsup2
We are only in the dinner attire "for dinner". Then it is back to cruise casual for the adult shows.
Teen has homecoming dresses and her younger sister (11) has a few of her dress hand me downs she likes to wear. Nothing spectacular.
Don't worry about it! Go to the dining rooms. :goodvibes
I have seen everything on formal and semi-formal nights :rotfl:
Oh the stories.... I would rather look good in something simple than ... well let's just leave it at that. It IS a Disney cruise after all!!!! :rotfl:

DH used to bring or rent a tux but not any more. Just a sport jacket or suit.

I had to get a few sundresses for the girls. Well, they had to get a few sundresses! LOL
I went through my "cruise clothes" today. Kinda sad. Lost some weight on WW but... I may need to pick up a few things too :sad2:
At least the bathing suits still fit!!! :thumbsup2 I'm always at the pool area!

I am really excited about this cruise!!!!

Hi all. Less than 11 days!!

On Grand Cayman, for the time being, we are booked for Capt. Marvin's full day 3 stop trip which includes the conch dive and a beach lunch at the Kaibo restaurant over there at Rum point.

We have come accross an opportunity for a similar trip that is a private trip run by some place called CaymanAdventureTours.com . Benefits of doing this are that we can customize a little - get more snorkle time, and go to the places we want (possibly skip Stingray city since we've been there - or at least a quick stop and then on to the barrier reef which may be a better snorkeling spot than Coral gardens).

Bottom line is that if anyone is interested in sharing the cost of the private trip, let us know.
Thanks.....

I don't do formal either..... I have a friend who does the gown and her DH and DS's all wear tuxes, but that is just because it's her excuse to get great pics of the family. Jeff will wear a suit and Ally and I wear nice dresses, but definitely not formal. Our idea of "formal" is to go get some sparkly earrings and jewelry...... Now we are red carpet bound! :rotfl2:

Stumbled upon this site while dreaming of our upcoming Disney Cruise. Only 11 days! Actually 10 days until we leave to drive down to Port Canaveral.

My non-cruising friends can't get excited, so I will turn to ya'll for some "excitement support"

When it is the DH and I, we can pack in about an hour.
But when we take the kids... it takes weeks!

I am going to need a vacation from my vacation!

I too have only packed FE gifts.

I made my son try on all his summer clothes to see that he had something to wear- of course after that we had to go make a large purchase as not much fit from last year- when do teenagers stop growing??????????
That being said he still has not tried on his bathing suit:rolleyes:

My dh will probably pack next Wednesday night! I pulled the suitcases out two weekends ago and he asked me why? He said we don't leave for 3 more weeks----- he just doesn't understand.:sad2:

You have come to the right place! There is a a lot of excitement on this board!!

Thanks! We have been going to WDW since 1986, but this is our 1st Disney Cruise. We've been cruising since our honeymoon back in April 1989. They didn't have Disney Cruises back then, or I would have been on one for my honeymoon.

Our 23rd wedding anniversary is on April 8, 2012, but we are celebrating on this cruise!
