No bother at all. I was sitting on the porch with Mrs. Robot when we got the call. We had a great big laugh over it. Mrs. Robot tried to keep the little one on the line to make sure nothing was wrong. That's why she called back. You are now in her cell phone as "Dis Thread". :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone. Hope you all have a great day.

Rave ~ sorry about your foot :(. Did you hurt yourself, or did you just start having problems with it?

Mom ~ your DS got off easy at $180 for four books ;). My four books cost me $351 (that's just books, not even the required art supplies), and a lady I work with who's son will be starting school on monday too said his books cost him $600 :scared1:!

Morning all  !

I haven't been able much to talk about this, because I am sooo sad. Today, I am giving Gonchar away to a lady that lives about 15 minutes from here. This is one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. I know in my heart he will be so much better off. I know that I won't be able to keep up with him, if Lee moves out. So, I am the one that made the decision.

I have had Gonchar for 10 years. He's been through college, marriage, births and deaths with me. And I am going to miss him more than well, you know who. I love my dog so much..and I know it's going to be extremely hard on the kids.

The good news is, the lady we asked to take him is thrilled. Anytime we went to disney, Mary always took our dog. She has alawys called him her baby. He sleeps with them, right next to her husband all night and she has a fenced yard and a lake that he can run and play on.

The kids asked if they had kids and I explained no. I also told them that Gonchar could come and visit and we can visit him at their house.

I think facing today is going to be one of the tougher days of my life.

OCM ~ I'm so sorry that you have to give up your dog. I can only image how hard it must be. At least he will be close by, with someone you know and trust and you can still see him :grouphug: .

:grouphug: I know nothing we can say will make it hurt any less, but you are doing the best for Gonchar.....he knows it and he loves you all for making sure he is well taken care of and loved.... I'm at the other end of the cell for you and so is eveyone here...We all love you ....... :grouphug:

Morning again......AOL is still acting like crap at home...I'm so ticked about it...no tech support anymore cause they are now a free service....grrrrr

Momma, ok, no fair, I'm sitting here and my eyes are filling up thinking about you giving up Gonchar. I understand what you are doing, and that you are doing it out of love, but it is just so sad! I can't imagine giving up my little guy and I've only had him for 6 months or so!! That is wonderful though that his new mom and family have nice things for him to do and they seem like they will love him unconditionally, that should help a little. Try and think of it that he is just on a vacation. Tons of hugs to you today..... :grouphug: Ok, this just makes me too darn sad :guilty:

Jules, the 4 books were a deal I guess then...sorry your's are so high...but honestly, when I look at these 2 books that came, I can't believe that the one cost over $50...it looks like one of those books you buy grade school kids to work on math and stuff  Again, my small discount and his gift cards helped out tremendously. Now he needs to get notebooks etc...think that is on his agenda today. I'm so thrilled for you jules that you are going to school!! So what is your first class, and what time do you go?

KS, you sure got our toes a'dancing with the hakuna matata song....

Ed, nice rise........we miss you, but understand you are busy at home

Momma's kids are now considered "crank callers" :rotfl2:

We always revert to talking thongs around here :confused3

hey ju ju........jules...........missy college girl........yes, books are so expensive. maybe you can resell them back to the bookstore at the end of the term.
my foot saga........ahh, its' really boring. the tendons are separating from the toe/ball area of the foot. had a clogged sweat gland opened up with minor surgery and now the tendon problem. it's always something isn't it.

don't make yourself a stranger anymore.
be sure to keep us posted on how you are with school and work.
we always miss you when you are not here.

Thanks for the support. I will get through this, it will just be very hard.

i;m here anytime you want to talk, whine, cry..........
it is a tough situation you are in sweets and i know it is not an easy decision you have had to make.

be sure to take pics of doggy with each kid so they will have it to look at.
put the pics in a frame for them.
you told them they could visit him in the future, this way if each kidlette had a pic of him with them in it, it gives them hope of seeing their pet again.

you hang in there.
our pets are like our children.

but, i wish there was a insurance policy out there for medicals for cats.
mine has cost us a fortune.......kind of like putting baby mommy thru kitty college......... :teeth:

Sorry about your foot Rave, sounds painful :(. It won't interfere with the girls trip will it?

Mom ~ I know what you mean about the books. One of my flimsy little paper backs cost me $78, seems like a bit of a rip off.

my first "official" class isn't actually until Wednesday night; Intro to Art. I'm taking an online Algebra class and although the semester doesn't actually start until Monday she already posted some of the assignments. So, if I wanted to, I could start on that now. I don't want to :p. I can't stand math, and I'm thinking about another test today. The plan was to get my permit today, but I'm not feeling too good about that . . I didn't get a chance to look at the book much. I just hope if I do go I get a test that's as easy as the one the last time I took it.

With all of this permit getting school starting stuff, now probably wasn't the best time to quit smoking, but I'm trying to any way. I feel like I'm going out of my mind.

Oh, btw forgot to tell you. Sis found out what she's having on Monday.

:grouphug: To you OCM. I feel for you but as others have mentioned, you are doing it out of love for Gonchar. I hope it brings you peace that you are creating joy for Mary. As the others have said, I'm just a cell phone call away....and if you can't remember my number, just ask your little "crank callers". They certainly know it. :lmao:
