Hi all, good news and bad news on the old set of eyeballs....bad news is I do have a condition, vitreous detachment and there is nothing to be done for it unless it totally obliterates your vision...good news is that it is fairly common as you age and that
usually it gets somewhat better. I'm seeing like a shadow when I see, and this vitrious detachment or floaters as they are called is when the vitreous gel behind the eye separates and causes these "things" to impair your sight. He said I had them in both eyes....and about a month or so ago, I was seeing these little black spots in both eyes, but was attributing them to the headaches I get, but it may have been the starting of this....and then last Friday, I got up with this mess in my right eye. It does not hurt, it is just annoying as heck. It tends to "float" downward and improve somewhat, so that is what I'm hoping willl happen. No timetable on that though, could be a couple weeks, could be a couple months...those stars I had was about 2 weeks. No meds, no surgery, no nothing really, just live with the annoyance. To me, while not the greatest thing to hear that I'm falling apart

I'm glad it isn't anything more serious. I was thinking a lot of things as it wouldn't go away............so I feel much better after seeing the Dr. End of saga....

I do look like a wild animal though

as he did the dilation thing on my eyes....I look like my eyes are black instead of brown..........
