Work is "officially" over until the 2nd but I know I will be going in one day next week to rattle off about 50 or so purchase orders that I'm going to need for next year.

I got a lovely floral arrangement from mac...I will post a photo later, it is very festive and looks nice where I have it sitting

Had a great potluck day at work, but I'm tired, seems no one can help clean up after they stuff their faces.......

Tomorrow is our big Christmas party.......I'm working myself up to being excited about it...but by the time we leave I'll be in a party mode

Yes I did find it by my garage, it fits wondeful and yes it was the right team.
I got a Red Sox Championship Baseball Hat.

Pam I'm glad you liked your gift, I was going to get you some Yankee stuff but I started feeling all queasy looking at all the Needle stripe.... I mean pin stripes.

ed - glad u like the hat, hope you don't have it already. DH doesn't wear hats, sez since he has to wear a hard hat most of the time he's glad to let his head air out during his leisure time . I do enjoy buying BB hats for my boys. Proud to say I can bend a brim with the best of them; have my own share of them for bad hair days.

rooting for mac's dad, let us know.

I've got 2 out 3 here who wear bb hats, and one who doesn't...and I on occasion, on a bad hair/I don't want to fix my hair day, I'll stick one on...and yep, its a Sox cap

I was trying HARD to forget our big plans . Oldest DS has been begging me for weeks to attend his 1st ever party on Christmas Eve in his new house. Only problem is the majority of the guests will be my ex in-laws (including EX - MIL, SILs/BILs, cousins and he who shall not be named ). Last peeps on earth i want to socialize, perhaps if i have a nip before the party? At least DILs mum & grandma will be there. My mother refuses, says NOT to make any excuses for her (you go girl ).

DH finds the whole thing absolutely riotous (think he just wants to see me squirm). FYI, ex has been trying to be buds with him for years.

Keisha - I don't think that is weird, but that is how my family is too. My mom and dad show up to parties and get a long. They aren't chummy, but my mom (Mary) and dad (Joe) met in high school and she was the third oldest of 13. So, a lot of my aunts and uncles grew up with my dad. So, at parties, my aunt Liz, Aunt May, Uncle Art and Uncle Joe all hang out with my dad talking football and catching up.

We took a picture for my cousin Timmy one time when we were all at a party. His mom, her new husband, his dad and his dad's wife. Aunt Anne was the 2nd oldest of the 13 and again, my uncle grew up knowing all of them and us.

At my grandmothers funeral, every single one of the 13 that had been divorced and remarried, every EX was there as well. Not only that, but Aunt Anne had both of her exs and her new husband there.

So, I say go, try it for your son. You may have a great time and who knows a lot of these people have probably changed. Either way, let me know. I am intrigued by the situation now.

Good morning....it is chilly here this morning and a little bleak...might look at the weather report to see what's up today

Momma, you have a BIG family to sort through...in a way, it's nice when ex's etc can get along...KS, hope if you go to the party it goes well...it might be one of those situations where you grin and bare it for a few hours...your mom cracks me up, she is old school I can tell

This is our Christmas party for work this evening, it's held at a golf country club. It is nice but not so over the top fancy you feel out of place or anything. Our employees at about 20 plus their spouse or other makes for a nice sized gathering. We have a social hour, then dinner and then a couple hours to mingle. My husband mostly goes to get the nice dinner, and because I make him go.....LOL...no really, he fusses about getting gussied up then has a good time. The whole group from the office upstairs down to the warehouse help all mingle pretty well. It tends to be like most gatherings though, each sticks to their own. Me, I mingle with all of them, hugging and laughing with them all Our crew from North Carolina is not coming up this year as it is a bad weekend for travel, the boss didn't think when he picked today's date for the shindig. Now, I can't decide if I want to wear just slacks and glittery top or the dress I wore on the dinner cruise...decisions, decisions........

Got another busy weekend here. Going to move out in a little bit as we have to to go trent's basketball game. They are in their tourneys now so if they lose they are done.

EEK....the mailman returned my SS package today marked 'no such number' for the address.......I thought I had the correct address. Gant, if you read this or get my PM, ,please forward your address to me...I'm SO sorry, didn't you get stuff from me before? Maybe I transposed or typed a number wrong in my email address book.

If any of you have his address before he visits the thread, can you pm it to me? I'll get this back out on Monday.........

Mic, don't fret....it happens a lot. I have a weird name for my street. It's called Firth. Most people either write it down as First or Fifth.

As far as SS goes, I have no problem with people revealing what they got. I want to see pictures people. Especially if OCM got some VS stuff!!!

Back from the company shindig, pretty nice affair, had me several brews, which is alot for me, felt pretty chatty and happy we had a very nice time, got the bonus check which was a nice touch

Gant, transposed the street number, had the Firth correct, cause I even joked to my friend when we went to the post office, that it sounds like First with a little bit of a lisp... it will go back out on Monday....day late but full of love for sure.......

KS, gorgeous photo, makes me wish for some sun and sand and a fruity drink

evening all!

just got home from trent's basketball games. He ended up having two today as they won their first game. Thought we were going to be going back tomorrow but they couldn't pull it out.

Trent may have his first date The girl said she would go out with him but needed to break up with her boyfriend first She was the one who texted him and said if snowflakes were kisses she would send him a blizzard. I don't know if I'm ready for this!!!!

Have to go and do my sunday school thing tomorrow. Then I think we are heading out to do any last minute shopping...which really isn't much but the kids need their haircuts too.

Hey Gant......Christmas Eve Eve is what it is Quiet one for us, I'm watching TV as dh sleeps away

We met son and his girlfriend for dinner out, and they treated...which was very nice, rode around and looked at Christmas lights then came back home...tomorrow we do dinner here and have a relaxing day I hope...need to run out to the post office in the a.m. and that is about it for things I have to do tomorrow.....can't believe day 2 of the 4 days is almost over....
