LA 2028

Heads up that one member in our family received an email a purchasing date and time. Another person received an email stating that demand was high and that they were not allocated a purchasing time during this drop. The dozen or so other extended family members who signed up (all in Los Angeles County) have not heard anything.
Hopefully they fix it… otherwise they’ll have to settle for NBC4’s coverage.

I got the one about high demand. Request rolls into the next round of the lottery.

I did as well.

Check out the video with instructions on how to purchase tickets. At this spot in the video, you can see the cost for women's soccer finals ($380/ticket). I kind of expected that. However, look at the service charge - $91.39 per ticket! That's a 24% service fee. :scared1:

Just as a data point - I just got an email with a purchase window over the weekend.

Might be good news for anyone who hasn't heard anything - I'm wondering if they're sending them out on a schedule (ie, 48 hours before the window starts).

I thought they weren't sending purchase windows until Tuesday, March 31.

The person in our family who was assigned a time, received a second email today with a link to join a VQ for their purchasing time tomorrow. Yes, we will be attempting to buy Olympic and D23 tickets on the same day! Ugh!

Curious minds…were you successful for your LA28 tickets?

My timeslot opened earlier. I went to London 2012 (I lived there at the time) and remember the prices being far more reasonable than what is showing as available today. I was able to go to the women's gold medal football (soccer), women's gymnastics all around final, and a few prelim events. Obviously with inflation I'd expect pricing to go up, but I was disappointed to see many events starting at several hundred dollars a ticket.

I just found my old confirmation emails and we saw the women's gymnastics gold medal final for 50 GBP, women's soccer gold medal game for 45 GBP, etc.

Today I just bought a few women's basketball prelim tickets and will look at additional tickets at a later date.

Yes! We got opening ceremonies, swimming finals, men's basketball semifinals, men's baseball finals, men's volleyball finals and a cycling session.

The top couple of tiers at each venue was pretty pricey, then there was a pretty steep drop off.

In my extended family, one person was given April 2, two were given April 4, three were told that they have not been selected for presale and four are still waiting to hear.

Congrats! You were able to get some very nice events.

My window opened this morning. Every gymnastics session and both ceremonies were sold out. Pricing for medal sessions are crazy. Grateful and excited to be going but didn’t quite expect this bloodbath.

Sister’s window opens Monday and the non-LA fam finds out Tuesday if they get a slot in the next drop (will be interesting to see what’s available for the general sale).

Well done for getting tickets. We entered the London ballot for around 20 events and didn't get any of them so we came to WDW instead. We set our Sky box to record every event televised on the BBC and watched the whole thing when we got home. The coverage on Disney TV was so bad that we didn't know who had won what so it was like watching it live lol
