Thanks for the birthday wishes! My new battery cord should come tomorrow, so I'm still using DH's laptop. I'm going through DIS board withdraw :earseek: :earseek:

Well Friday I had a great workout at the gym. 30 minutes weights, 35 minutes on the stair-of-hell machine and 60 minutes on the treadmill. We were having Happy Hour at our house, so I finished cleaning up a bit. We just did appetizers, because I wasn't in the mood to cook. I did good with munchies, eating shrimp, veggies, one square of pizza (made for the kids) and some trail mix. I only had a few cocktails and made sure to drink lots of water before bed. My neighbor brought a ice cream cake from DQ (my fav) for her son's b/day and I didn't even have a slice. I was so proud of myself :earboy2:

I've also been really good about NOT weighing myself the past couple of days. I'm going to be REALLY good this weekend, drink plenty of water and watch my eating. Football playoffs are on, so it'll be tough :earseek: I had a dream last night that I was wearing a short sassy looking dress and I looked GOOD in it :smooth: I can't wait to find that before our cruise.... :earboy2:
 
Way to go passing on the ice cream cake. You're doing great! Keep it up...and way to stay off that scale. I need your willpower!
 
:bday: I know I am a few days late, sorry. I have been bouncing around everyone's journals trying to read everything. I don't know how everyone keeps track of everyone else's journals. There are so many and then I get confused as to who is who. I guess I'll figure out a method after I've been here longer.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks Sundie! I've called the step machine "other" names, but I don't think I could type those on here :earseek: I blew it with the scale today.



It's Sunday and football playoffs are on, so not much activity happening today. I did get up and weigh myself and the scale said 178. What's up with that??? I was so good yesterday, drinking TONS of water and eating good. I know Friday wasn't that bad, so I'm thinking dinner on Thursday is what did it for me?? Tuesday I would like to be at or below 175, so that would just put me at a 1.4 loss, which would be fine. Today for breakfast I had Special K cereal, lunch I had a lean cuisine and DH made dinner tonight, which was grilled chicken, veggies and small portion of mashed potatos. For dessert I had two oatmeal raisin cookies. I had a couple of 100 calorie snacks during the day, so overall I did pretty good. Tomorrow I'll do weights and some cardio. I need to stop looking at the scale, stay within my points, drink lots of water and it'll happen....
 
Go by how you feel and don't focus so much on the scale. I know it is hard but let's all try ok? :cool1:
 
You are doing it! :cheer2: Don't get discouraged! I hate the darn scale because no matter how much you will it to change, it never does it when you want it to! (I usually step on with my eyes closed and crack an eye to see if it moved! Oh yes I have a whole mini stepping on the scale ceremony!)
 
Hi Tera,

Keep pushing the water. (MY Mantra). The scale will cooperate, but take your measurements. When the scale won't budge, I bet you are still losing inches.

Thanks Beth and Michelle - I know I know... I'm such a whinner :earseek: Every week I complain that I'm not losing anything and then Tuesday comes around and I lose 1, 2 or 3 pounds. I need to just stick to my points, drink that darn water and NOT weigh myself. I know I'm losing the inches because of my clothes, but will wait one more week before measuring.

Okay, here's my post for today:

Today has been a good, but exhausting day. Got to the gym at 8:00 and did 20 minutes on weights, 30 minutes on the step-from-hell machine, or better known as The Step from the Black Lagoon, or my favorite, Stepenstein! Also got in 60 minutes on the treadmill. Was able to get a quick shower & lunch in before heading up to the school to volunteer for the hearing and vision testing. Was up there till almost 3:00pm, then headed home for about an 1/2 hour before a PTO meeting. Dinner tonight was a Lean Cuisine and plenty of water. I'll have my brownie for dessert and then I'll be done for the evening.

Tomorrow is the weigh in and I'm a little nervous. I know I've been good, but I might be retaining water, muscles might be finally developing... who knows, the scale at home just isn't showing anything this week. I won't measure myself till next week, so I don't know if I've lost any inches. Clothes are feeling looser, so I'm sure I'ml losing the inches. I think I'm just feel impatient because my vacation is 17 weeks away and I'm 36 pounds from my goal. I'm actually thinking I'll adjust my goal to the higher part of my healthy weight, which is 145. Still means I need to lose 31 pounds.....

Well todays WI wasn't too great, but still a loss. I only was able to get rid of .8 for a total of 32.4 pounds. This will just make me work harder, eat better and drink MORE water for next week. I want that 35 pound clippie next week, plus I need to lose 5.6 pounds for my end of the month goal. That is totally doable.

Was able to get 60 minutes in on the treadmill before WW and I'm off to bowling this afternoon. Today I have a PTO meeting, so I'll miss the beginning of The Biggest Loser, but I'll make sure to tape it. So far I've had a slimfast for breakfast, not much water yet, but I'll pick up the pace on that and for lunch I'll be having a lean cuisine. I'll be making another batch of the veggie soup to get me through the rest of the week.
 
I bowled like crap again this week... what else is new. I had one of my 100 calorie snacks on the way home and then made another batch of veggie soup for dinner. Doesn't taste as good as the other ones, so maybe I didn't let it simmer long enough. Tonight I have a PTO meeting and then we'll be watching The Biggest Loser. I just hope I can have a good week and have a big loss next week. I need that to help me stay modivated.

The scale WILL continue to go down. You have set high goals for yourself, but you are determined and will accomplish them. Enjoy The Biggest Loser tonight.

Well today we woke up to more snow. Imagine that, snow in Colorado :earseek: Of course, this snow wasn't predicted and the roads were awful. Dropped the kids off at school and headed to the gym. Needless to say, it was pretty empty. Did about 15 minutes with the weights and 45 minutes on the elliptical. I'm going to jump in the shower and since DH is home today, we'll go to lunch, probably Sweet Tomatos and then heading to the school to volunteer in Katie's class and then help out in the library. I'm picking the kids up from school and I know it's going to be a nightmare. Is is Spring yet?????? :earboy2:

I did get on the scale this morning (bad Teresa bad) and it still says 176. I don't know what's up. Maybe I have hit that plateau, so now I'm going to have to do something different to mix it up.

Tonight is Lost and Alias, so I need to make sure to leave extra points for some FF popcorn :flower:

Be proud of that loss at WI. It's much better than a gain! ;) Your body just might need some shrinking time to lose some inches before getting back to the pounds. You are doing great!

What did you think of the Biggest Loser? Can you believe they are going to have ANOTHER show next Tuesday night? They are really dragging this ending out. I missed the first 25 minutes so I don't know if tey did updates on all of the other contestants but they certainly looked great when they scanned them in the audience!
 
Woo Hoo Tera! :cool1: A loss is a loss!! I believe the 5.6 is doable for the rest of the month. You'll work through this and end up with the results! Maybe mix up the routine...maybe take a couple days off exercise and then shock your body back. You are still doing great! You are determined!

Are you and Michelle going to be on the same Cruise? That would be so much fun!
