Teresa's WISH Jouranl (Comments Welcomed)

Wilderness - Thank you... I know it'll be better next week.

I did my measurements for the first time in 3 weeks:

Chest 36 (down 1/2")
Waist 33 (down 1/2")
Hips 43.5 (down 1 1/2")
Upper Arm 13 (same)
Outer Thighs 46 (down 1")
Thighs 26.5 (down 1")
Calves 15.5 (same)

So that brings me to a total loss of 20.5"!!!!!!!!! I know I was bummed earlier because of the gain, but seeing the loss in inches makes me feel better :flower:

Awe, Tera, I'm sorry about the gain.

On the bright side though, way to go on losing those inches! You are MELTING! :sunny: :smooth: :sunny:

The worst is definitely behind you. You are back on the right track and I know that you will stay there! Until the cruise anyway, then all bets are off!

Thanks Michelle - I was a little bummed until I measured myself. I'm okay till next week. I DID try on a pair of capris (16W) that I had over the summer, but never wore because they were too tight in the butt. Tried them on today and I could almost pull them down, even with them buttoned :earboy2: I was pretty happy about that...

Tonight we did mexican... I had fajitas and 2 margaritas  I am TOTALLY stuffed :earseek:

Hi Tera!
Sorry I haven't been able to stop by for a few days... but what do my wondering eyes see?? It sounds like you have some serious muscle tissue building going on, because you are dropping those inches! I know you want that weight loss but I will take inches lost over pounds lost any day! You are still on track and moving DOWNWARD! I know that new clippie is waiting just for you!

 Tera

Sorry to hear about your gain this week. Holidays, being out of your routine, and TOM are to blame. You will definately lose next week.

It sounds like you had a blast at the indoor play area. I would love to try snowshoeing sometime soon too.

Have a great time, and drink a margarita for me.
Beth

Hi Terry....

Thanks for stopping by. I have so much muscle I still need to build, it's not funny, but I guess we all have to start somewhere  I agree with you about taking the inches over the pounds.

Thanks Beth - I know there were a lot of obstacles this past week and I'm not too worried about it. Just wanted to try and stay on track for my cruise goal, but I'll be happy with what I lose.

Went to the mall with the family this afternoon and figured I'd try on some smaller jeans. I definitely can't fit into size 14 bellbottoms since my butt is still too big, but I did buy two pairs of size 14 khakis. It's weird how certain jeans fit differently. I like the Land's End brand since they have more room in the hips and butt (where I need them the most). Might need to make a trip to Sears soon and pick up a few pairs to get me through. I can't wait for those 14's to be too big.

Had lunch at the mall and had a tuna sandwich with a cookie. I know the cookie was bad, but I figure it's one of those rare treats :earboy2: Today I will drink lots of water and eat something light for dinner. Tomorrow I plan to get a really good workout in (first one in awhile). I did get in 20 minutes on the step machine (and about dropped dead :earboy2: ) and did 40 minutes on the treadmill. Had to take my brother and family to the airport, so I wasn't able to get in more :guilty:

Today has been a pretty relaxing day, for once.

Went to the gym this morning and did 20 minutes on the weights, 20 minutes on the step machine and 60 minutes on the treadmill. That step machine will be the death of me :earseek: Went to Sam's Club and Safeway and did shopping to get us through the holiday weekend. I made a huge batch of veggie soup when I got home that should get me through until weight in next week. Got on the scale this morning and that 1.8 pounds is still holding on :earseek: Haven't had as much water as I should, so I need to pick up the pace a little more. Tomorrow my gym is closed, but hoping to go to the rec center and get a hour of cardio in. Need those extra AP for tomorrow night. We're doing a progressive party with our neighbors (appetizers at one house, dinner at another, dessert & karaoke here). I plan to drink plenty of water before and hopefully during. Off to fill up my water bottle......

Woo Hoo Tera! Getting into those size 14's, you slim, sexy momma! :cool1:

Looks like you've had some good workouts the last couple of days too!

Have fun with your friends tomorrow night! princess:

LOL! That's what I say everytime I get on the thing! Who dreamed up such a contraption anyway? But boy does it burn the calories :earseek:

Sounds like you'll have a fun night tonight, drink you water and be careful but ENJOY!!!!!

Happy New Year :wizard:

Hi Michelle - Didn't feel too sexy, but atleast it's a start. I want to be able to put on ANY size 14 (or 12's) and have them fit, not just a certain brand

Thanks Wilderness - You have a Happy New Year too!!

Sundie - I do love that machine, but man it's a killer :earseek: Drinking water as I type this... okay, maybe not as I TYPE this, but when I stop...... like now :earboy2: :earboy2:

Well... DH and I got up this morning and went to the rec center. No better way to start off a day (or end the year) like working out :smooth: I did 25 minutes on the elliptical machine and 65 minutes on the treadmill. Figure I could use any many of those AP that I can get  I did get on the scale and am down .5 pounds (179.5) but I'm a little disappointed it wasn't more. I plan to drink lots of water and will have my veggie soup for dinner tonight before heading out for our party. I just need to not stand by the food or I'll eat and not realize until tomorrow :earboy2: This weekend I plan to stick with the veggie soup, lots of water and low point snacks in between and should be back on track by Tuesdays weight in.

I want to thank everyone on here for their support the past few months (approximately 4 months) You gals have been the best :cool1: :cool1: I know with doing WW and your continue support, I'll be at my goal in no time :D I hope everyone has a wonderful New Years Eve and the best in 2005

Awe, c'mon Tera! You know you were workin' it in front of the mirror! :teeth:

Sounds like you had another great day! Enjoy your party tonight.

Getting to know you the last few months has been so much fun! I look forward to continuing our friendship in 2005 and hopefully meeting up with you after my cruise!

Have an awesome New Year! princess:

:cool1: PARTY TIME!! :cool1:
So what will you be singing tonight on your karaoke machine? I hope you enjoy your New Years Eve! You have been working so hard and deserve a night of fun!

Happy New Years and here's to a GREAT 2005!!! :rockband:

HAPPY NEW YEAR TERA!

I hope that wasn't too loud, and you aren't too hung over from the party last night. :headache: just kidding.

I hope you had a fantastic time last night. Don't worry too much, keep drinking the water. That 1.3 pound and more will come off.

Have a great evening,
Beth

Michelle - Me too! I think it helps having someone else to share your ups and downs with. I can't wait to meet you in May :cool1:

Hi Terry - Karaoking was fun. I'm not sure how happy my neighbors are though

Thanks Beth! No hang over for me... this year  I'm drinking lots of water today and will continue again tomorrow.

Wow, can't believe it's 2005 already. This year went by so quickly. Last night was a lot of fun. I had some of my 0 point veggie soup before heading out for the eveing and tried to drink lots of water. Went to the first house for appetizers and did pretty good. I tried to eat the veggies and not much else. 2nd house was dinner with ham and twice baked potatoes. I had a little ham and split the potato with DH plus some cole slaw. Not bad.... headed to my house and had one small brownie and one eclair, so I'm thinking my biggest splurg was my vodka/cranberry drinks which I tried to "water" down with diet sprite. I had some water in between houses and before heading to bed. Didn't get to sleep till after 2:00am and about died when I got up at 10:30am :earseek:

Today I was busy all day putting Christmas decorations away. I'm thinking I burned plently of calories walking up and down the stairs with boxes. It took me 5 hours, but I got my whole house cleaned up and all Christmas stuff put away :cool1: :cool1: I'm happy to have the house all cleaned, but I enjoy having the lights and colors around the house. I am now sitting on my butt relaxing for the first time today. I've been trying to drink water and had my veggie soup for lunch and dinner. I will get on the scale tomorrow, even though I know I shouldn't and see if I've dropped my Christmas present :earboy2: Kids are back at school on Monday and I should be able to get back on the program.

Your New Year's Eve sounded like fun. Good for you in getting all your Christmas stuff down. I half way did that and now I will do the tree today. It is always a good feeling to have everything put away and the house cleaned isn't it? Have a good day. :cool1:

Hi Wilderness and thanks. It was so nice to wake up this morning and see the cleaned house. Let's see how long it lasts

I got up this morning at 9:00am and know I'm going to be dying tomorrow when the alarm goes off at 6:15am. Need to get to bed early tonight and get some sleep. I got on the scale this morning, even with my workout outfit on just so it would be accurate and it STILL says 179.5. What is up with that??? I was so good yesterday, drinking LOTS of water, eating my veggie soup. I just hope I haven't hit a plateau already and am trying to figure out ways to kick start my diet again. I NEED to lose on Tuesday or I'm REALLY going to be behind for my goal. Ahhh... it's just so frustrating. I guess the holidays took more of a toll on me than I though they would. Tomorrow is the "start" of my new year and need to get back on track. That 30 pound clippie is so close and I'm shooting for that 35 pound one by the end of January.

Off to watch football!! :earboy2:

Happy New Year Tera!

I think the holidays did us all in for a bit-reading everyone's journals lately, we are all saying the same thing: it's January and I'm getting back on program!

You will get that new clippie soon, so don't sweat it. Remember, after you hit goal, you will have to maintain your good habits for life....no new clippies to work toward so how can you keep up the motivation? Keep coming here to visit with all the WISH princess: 's and we will motivate each other. I think the exercise challenges help alot too.

I am so looking foward to the pics of you and Michelle on your cruise....You guys can be the new WISH calendar girls! :cool1:

Oh, almost forgot...where can I find the recipe for the zero point veggie soup? Is it on the WW website? It sounds like something I'd like to try, especially since I'm always cold in the winter months! Brrrrr.....

Hi Teresa,
I can really relate to your frustration of holiday WI stagnation! Even though its probably nearly all water, it is so hard to take when the scale doesn't budge. I hope you get the swoosh fairie visit before Tuesday (tomorrow). And let's all celebrate boring, hum-drum, ROUTINE January!!!!!

Sundie
