Teppanyaki in Japan renovations through September

I just received my call. I had reservations on 8/23 for 6:30. Party of 6. I got Le Cellier at 5:30 AND VIP seating for Illuminations that night! Whoohoo!!

I had read about Japan not being ready, so I called Monday night. The only thing I could get was Beirgarten. I didn't tell the CM on the phone today that I already made other arrangements.

I'm saying it again. Whoohoo!!!!!!!

I called yesterday to change our 9/8 ressie and couldn't get anything at Epcot at all -- for the entire week!!! I did book 50's Prime Time thinking maybe we'd switch our Epcot & MGM days, but after looking at our schedule that won't work either. So I guess we'll hope for a last minute cancellation somewhere or just do a CS.

That's great!! Hopefully we can get something like that!

I got the call last night. We has ressies for the 21st for lunch. We changed to Germany since we have never eaten there before.
We were also given VIP seating for Illuminations that night:cool1:

It seems they're offering an ADR at another World Showcase restaurant (congrats on Le Cellier!!).

Do you think they might offer the Coral Reef?

They should try to get you into any restaurant even if it's a different day. They have more "pull" with the Epcot restaurants. We had planned to dine at Tepp twice, so I was just moved to LTT but on a different day. Oh, and I also received the VIP seating for Illuminations. :thumbsup2

It must depend very much who you speak to when you either get their call or call yourself :confused3 -- when I called about my ADR for 9/8, I pleaded for Le Cellier but she said they didn't have any lunch OR dinner there on any of the days of my trip. :sad2: I ended up with WCC, but maybe I'll try for Le Cell again if/when they call me! (Although they may not even call b/c when I made the new ADR she cancelled the one in Japan.)

Such difficulties!! Although I must admit -- along the lines of what KCMiller said -- worrying about ADR's at WDW is FAR better than most of what I have to deal with at home!! :rotfl:

I didn't get a call but as I leave on Monday needed to sort it out and thanks to my friend sorul82? I called today and got 50's PT for the same night and VIP Illuminations on a different night, I could choose which night! There wasn't that much choice of ADR's though but probably didn't help that I'm eating at 12 different places whilst I'm there and wanted another different one :rotfl:

I'm very happy for everyone who has gotten the call and received what ADR they wanted and VIP seating. :goodvibes

I can't help but wonder how they can be inconsistant though...we begged for Le Cellier (whenever they could get it for us through our weeklong stay and at whatever time open) and it was a no go - only Chinese and German. The CM never offered VIP seating, either. Hmm...I wonder why offer it to some and not others? Just curious...hurray to those who got offered some great choices!! Maybe I have to wait for the call??? Our ressies were for 8/28...I'll hold out hope, but at least we have 9 dragons, right?

We had a reservation for Teppanyaki for Aug.24th from reading the DIS I knew it was closed. I called 2 days ago regular wdw dine number to try to find a new reservation, no luck everything booked. Disney called last night (I wasn't home) they left a special 800 number to call them back. Called it today and got Le Cellier at 5:30pm for that same night and VIP for Illuminations!!! I am thrilled, we are also AKL refugees!!!

Try again. When you call dining, tell them you are rebooking for Tepp and they should transfer you to the "special Tepp rebook hotline."

After reading this thread, I went and called too. We are a party of 12 that had an ADR on 9/2 at 6:30-After being transferred from WDW-Dine to the special line I was able to get a table for 8@5:00 and a table for4@5:30 at Coral Reef.I was also offered the VIP seating for Illuminations that night. I hoping that if we show up together they can seat us at the same time if not at the same table.

You should be getting the call any time now. I got mine last night and our ADR was for Sept 8.

Thank you,

May I ask What your result was, and what was the offer

Sure you may:) I was offered just about any restaurant at Epcot at almost any time (mostly dinner hours) any day during our stay. I took Le Cellier at 5:30pm on the 8th since I had been trying to get that anyhow and it wouldn't require changing any of the rest of our schedule. We were also offered VIP seating for Illuminations any night during our stay. Again, I picked the 8th since we were planning to be at Epcot that day already. The CM was extremely nice and very helpful. She said they were trying to call everyone based on the date of their ADR and that most of the restaurants had opened up additional space to accomodate the Teppanyaki refugees:)

If you don't get a call soon, call 407-WDW-Dine and tell them that you have ADR's for Teppanyaki and that you hadn't received a call yet regarding the delayed opening. They should be able to connect you to someone who can make the changes for you (although from what I have heard you may end up on hold for a very long time!). If they won't help you, ask for guest services. But I would think that you should be hearing from Disney within the next couple of days.

Good luck!
