This question was asked a while back, and I think the biggest answer was surprisingly to just run longer. Eventually you'll pick up speed. There are lots of runners on WISH. I'm sure they have all the answers. It's so hard outside for me to tell how fast I am running. Me, too!! The terrible thing is I pace myself by the dog!I have a friend whose hubby is a triathlete
and according to him pacing is a huge problem for runners. I think I might ask for a gadget for my birthday. DH likes techno stuff; I'm sure he'll find me something!
all you other runners/walkers/exercisers How did you get your speed up or how do you plan to get your speed /endurance up?

Our church's kitchen is not working so no pancake supper for us! I could have made them at home but had some mashed potatoes left over and made vegetarian shepherd's pie instead. Yum. But DS1 had 3 helpings! No leftovers tonight. Also have a Costco roasted chicken leftover that will be chicken soup tomorrow. Think I'll add some salsa and rice for a little change of pace.
I'm hoping that I can use Lent as a motivator. I'm thinking about giving up those scrumpdelicious chocolate covered almonds. Unfortunately I just ate 3 servings of them in anticipation of my sacrifice.
I should have just had the raspberry sherbert. oh wellFriday is coming--drink your water, Mickeys!

Still a work in progress but I'm in this for the long haul.
Not only is Liz our BL this week but she has also met more than 77% of the goal that she created for herself. This is fabulous!

Everybody has the insecurities. We should all talk about it more so we all realize we are not alone. Hang in there. I think hitting the tm was a great idea.

On the bright side I have been rather stuck at the same weight for the last few weeks-- this should help me break that!
Yep, ice skating. I used to ice skate all the time in college, but of course haven't been able to for years. Since I have been doing better I had to try-- just to prove to myself that I could do it. 1st lap around I had a death grip on the wall but I did 3 more laps without even touching it. And after 4 laps, I was done! And when I took off the skates I realized my calf was on fire. Haven't been able to walk without major pain but it is better today. If it didn't cost $9 to go I would probably try it again another time. We had a groupon that was for 4 people so it was a good chance for me to try it.

Good for you trying a "new" activity that you knew you loved!!!
