Evening all. We got a lot of snow today but I am finally home and do not plan to leave until some time Sun. My internet is still not running right. I do not think it is my computer I think it has to do with the provider. I left them a voice mail but who knows when they will be able to get back to me. I keeps going out. It will be out for a few hours and then start working again. It bites and makes it hard to do anything. It better be fixed for me and school next week. I am going to FB for a few while I still have a connection. Will talk to all of you soon.

When we lived in TX ours would do that. We had Verizon and they had to come out and replace the whole box thingie. Drove me NUTS!!!

I'm soooooooo I heated up a WW smart one's chicken parm for lunch. I sat down to reply to my favorite people and knocked it off my desk...everywhere! So, not only did I lose all my quotes, I had to clean up the mess, and now I have no lunch. WHat I got to eat of it was good though

I thought these things only happened to me.

See, I always get hungry earlier for lunch if I have breakfast - something about kicking in the metabolism up or whatever. I still do it, but...

I can't find the new earrings my mom gave me for Christmas. They're just silver - not expensive or anything, but I like them. I have NO idea where they could be. I often take them off on my nightstand or the coffee table, but they're not there.

So, I really probably should go again.

So sorry to butt in on this thread but I'm stalking...I mean following someone over here.

I've been a LONG time lurker on the disboards. I take vicarious trips to Disney World by reading trip report after trip report. So, I'm spending my typical exciting Friday night at home, watching TV, eating stuff I shouldn't, ignoring the laundry and dishes, and starting a new trip report.

This trip report is being written by mrsksomeday who went last October and went to the Ip-Dip meet at the Biergarten. Also, I've seen a lot of signatures with the Focker Watch and been SO jealous that you all have such a tight-knit group and share your love of Disney.

Anyway, long story short....I'm reading the report....looking at the pictures....and......I RECOGNIZE THAT PERSON!!!!!! OH! MY! GOSH! THAT'S JODI! I know her. I felt like Elf when Santa was coming to Gimbal's. I know her...I know her...

I teach at the school her kids go to. Then I stalked her...I mean followed her over here to say Hi!

Kat is ok now. Things got ugly for a bit but are on the right track again.

Ok, just a fly by, but here's what happened.
Dr. said, you aren't the first to have this, won't be the last. He prescribed Zoloft (at least I'm familiar with this one from SD!!) in a low daily dose. Don't change it until I see him in 4 weeks. He is a good friend (as well as my fam. dr.) and he said, "Mel, I am positive that this will help!!" So, I feel GOOD now! There might be an end to sad Mel...

He also said to TAKE THE XANAX so that I can sleep tonight! He said I should stop trying to be superwoman. I told him, no that's Jo! LOL!

Thanks for all the love, girls (and Mr. T!) It means so much!

For the life of me can't remember the name of the hotel we stayed at (i'll look it up eventually) but it was directly across from the gates. there are a million hotels there that are just fine to stay in. we stayed next door to denny's and ate there more than in the parks!

Looooong day. we slept late (since i was up early and went back to bed) and then headed to the city, again. It was FREEZING. No tickets to Spring Awakening under $120, so no tickets for me. SO I canceled on my friend and headed downtown with KC. we got some taco bell (I'll pay for that later) and then he went to his show and I went to barnes and noble for a bit. Eventually I got so tired (despite the caffeine) I just got on the train and came home. I'm glad I did because the show ran late and he's not home yet! It'll prob be another hour. I am catching up on tv and relaxing.

So did anyone watch Lipstick Jungle tonight? was it the last episode? The end seemed so depressing??!!

Anyways I'm going to go get the camera and pot my pics from yesterday.

We started out around 4pm and went to the upper east side of Manhattan on the subway.

We first went to the Apple store. Neat store, all clear and funky. KC likes to look at what he can't have. LOL.

Outside the apple store... where KC & I first started getting all lovey dovey on our first date.

Then next door was...

the awesome build a muppet workshop thingie. made me think of DHS.

The plan was to have some ice cream in the cafe...which is now gone. so much for that. we wandered and checked out some stuff and then headed out. We stopped for some beef paties at a street cart. We wandered the Disney store. Not much in there really these days. But it's always good to look at Disney stuff!

We walked back over towards Times Square. We initially went into Applebee's and were seated on this weird isle where tons of people walked so we decided not to stay. We wanted to go to a spot called Brother Jimmy's BBQ we heard about. Handy dandy GPS on the phoen said there was one by Grand Central Station. We hop a cab, $8 later we're at....

We call the place and they say they are in the terminal. That was fine with us. KC actually proposed to me in the subway part of the terminal, on bended knee and everything. So it was nice to remember and get sappy about it.

But when we got to the "restaurant" it was a stand not a sit down. Sooooo we walked around inside a bit....

And then into another cab we went to the other location, near Penn Station.
And we finally found it!!!!

it was a 1/2 hour wait so we went and got some drinks for later during our movie and we wwere called about 20 minutes later to be seated.

The food was AWESOME. Some of the best BBQ I ever had! KC had a combo platter w/ pork, ribs, brisket and chicken. I had fried catfish. We already want to go back.

We headed 2 blocks up to the movie theater where we saw Valkyre. TOO slow for me, KC loved it. I liked Tom Cruise in it, thats about it tho. I pick the movie next time. BTW we used free movie passes so I'm over not liking the movie.

They did have awesome displays tho....

We got home late and PASSED OUT. it's beena draining few days but everything is starting to get normal again. The weird feeling in my tummy is starting to pass...slowly but surely.

I'm off to bed now...hope you enjoyed our day!

Bunko was nice last night. I didn't drink and came home by 10:30. I don't want to get sick, as I am not all the way better from my last illness, so I am taking it easy.

That is what I have been listening to for the last 3 and 1/2 hours at the ski lodge. My head is about to EXPLODE! I have already told Gus that if he EVER asks me to take him snowboarding again on a Friday night, I may run screaming from him. He laughed!

Gus did great boarding though, he figured out how to carve (that's when you go back and forth apparently ) and how to stop and how to kick out the board (don't know why you'd want to do this, but ok) so he's thrilled! I'm tired. I just showered AGAIN (the smell of french fries and little boys wearing AXE is OVERWHELMING) and I'm going to have a big glass of wine, which my dear friend, Dr. Larry told me was OK.

It should be illegal to be that cold . My brother and I took my mom out just before Christmas and it was cold like that. His wife was in Mexico at the time and we called her hoping to feel warmer, it didn't work, we just felt cold and jealous.

I'm tired and need coffee..........

I went to a jewelry party last night - Silpada. Didn't buy anything though, since I barely ever wear jewelry. Can't justify buying it to let it sit on my dresser, you know? But it was a chance to get out and have a girls' night. It was fun and we chatted all evening.

Today, I may take the girls ice skating. But that depends on the weather. It's supposed to be freezing rain turning to snow, but as of 7:30 when DH left for his fire dept meeting, it was just rain. So, it will all depend on the roads. If they get bad before we need to leave, I'll probably stay home all day and work on DD4's school scrapbook.
