Morning, Fockers...

I'm excited I finally get to go back to bible study today. Every week I've either been out of town or had a hurt/sick kid.

So, the Mom's Panel round 2 notices still haven't gone out. I was totally patient and not thinking about it until Tuesday. Now I check my e-mail several times a day hoping to se something. I had three e-mails for Disney in 24 hours, but not the "one".

I forgot about it actually!

Today's supposed to be another record high but that means I can still pool. We're getting a new back door so I have to be around the house anyway, so I don't have to get out in the heat. After living here almost 5 years, I am definitely a warm weather girl. The low where Mitch will be is supposed to be 47 so we've been looking for warm clothes for him.

Can you buy such things in Florida? Where/When is he going?

Jimmy has a pretty bad cold that is just kickinghis butt. If he still isn't feeling good I am going to call the doctor and get an appointment. I don't want it to go into a sinus infection

and, if i posted already, i'm sure i told you how wonderful it was to meet mel, z, yani, notbob, dawn, angela and jo. i only saw jo, dawn, and angela briefly as they were eating breakfast and i didn't want to linger too long. it felt rude to stand there and watch people eat. i was trying to get there before everyone went into the restaurant, but i am always late. right, slate?? lol ( you know, i've just recently realized what sorul82 meant. duh. )

As the others said you should have just sat down and chatted, we wouldn't have minded

Not much going on. Morning drop offs are done, thankfully. I leave in a few minutes to go volunteer in Maddie's classroom and then TE and I are heading to Target for some Halloween decor shopping. We had a big inflatable witch we used to put up, but she popped last year, so we need something.

I hit post too quickly!

My tennis this morning was good, then D picked up Linus's (the dog) drugs and his mother. We all met up for lunch, and now we've been just sitting around talking - well, I've been doing some Book Fair stuff on the sly - and waiting for the bus to come. I have chicken & noodles in the crockpot, and so the day is going pretty well.

I have, not exactly a sore throat, but a throat which feels swollen inside, like asthma but not exactly. I don't get it. I don't feel too bad, but it's not great. I'm a little headachy, still, but that's about it. I had some tea, didn't help. Sigh.

So, we're eating in tonight as the boys have school tomorrow, of course, and I don't know what we'll do during the day whilst they're gone. I'm sure we'll have fun!

I probably won't be around must this weekend, so I hope you all have a good one. I may pop on and read from time to time.

My eye still feels like someone bashed me in it. Ouch.

Boring day here. Janet can attest to the utter depressing-ness of sitting around doing NOTHING all day when you have TONS to accomplish. It's infuriating!

NotBob is going to be here momentarily though. He's going out to spend the night at camp with Gus. I think he's only stopping here to drop off milk and some stuff for SD.

Wish I had something exciting to share, but nope.

Thinking about escaping after Bob leaves and getting Chinese takeout with Sd......

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. My brother came through cardio cath with no issues. One artery was 99% blocked THe docotr was amazed that he had no symptoms. They put a stent in and he is fine. He will be released tomorrow

My dad goes to Celebration Hospital at 2pm for his test. They are checking his circulation (putting things on his legs to check it???) Will update you on him when I get word!

Jim was late for school this morning. See what happens when I am not here...he forgot Jimmy's change of clothes and had to come back and take them back to school. They can't live without me

Job security

Well, I met the ledge halfway. Moved up to an SSR studio, but not all the way to BC/YC. We'll be happier with some extra space, and SSR really is "home" for me; I'm happy in that place!

AND, I saved money toward that one by downgrading Halloween to CBR.

I read through it - he's too funny! I loved it! DH got a flyer in the mail from AAA last week for a Disney cruise in January for super cheap, so we decided instead of buying a bunch of carp for each other for Christmas, we'll do the cruise . Can't wait!

Jess brought home a letter today for next years school trip. Her choices are Spain, France, Holland, Wales, Devon (bottom of England) or Surrey (about 45 mins away). She has chosen France as #1 choice and Surrey as #2 bit of a difference

Kids - I think they are all the same

Well, I got the call on the labs from the vet. The dog shows mild Lyme - which isn't a surprise, we pick ticks off him all the time, even though we use the stuff to repel them - there are just too many around here. So, she's giving him antibiotics for that. No symptoms, though. The extra-thirsty thing made her think of a UTI, basically, and his labs on that came back with some elevated protein but no infection. She says he COULD have had an infection last week, which might indicate the protein, but if it's still high in a few weeks when we go back for the second Lyme vaccine (and after the antibiotics), she'll start thinking about something more like kidney issues. I'm not going to borrow trouble, though - and he is 11, so problems aren't that surprising to me.

I sure hope it's just something simple, poor baby!

I have to go to a funeral tomorrow, so I probaly won't be around much in the AM. The viewing and the funeral are tomorrow. I think I am just foing for the viewing portion, but since someone else is driving I'm not sure. Since it is all work people I have ot play the "I can't drive yet" card

DD Ariel is stopping by for dinner tonight - I'm so glad she's close by and can stop in from time to time. I don't really think about it much, but she's making noise about wanting to do a college semester abroad (in London Jo!) and I just realized how much I would miss her if does go away. Now I know how alot of the other college parents feel

After requesting the 30th of work as I thought it would be Trick or Treat ,I find out it is on Saturday 31st !! So now I have to change that!! So much for my planning ahead!!!

you girls are all so sweet! i wish i would've done that. i have this paranoia of being rude or mean to people. i've always been like that and i'm not sure why. i guess it's usually a good thing, but i worry too much about it. i especially worry about offending people or saying something and it being taken the wrong way. i'm a weirdo.

OMG!!! my 11 year old fifth grader just told me that he will have a girlfriend next year. why you ask? because he asked the girl he likes to be his girlfriend, but she's not allowed to have a boyfriend until the 6th grade. and where's the fainting smiley when you need it???
