It's not THAT bad:rolleyes1

Hey all. Not a good afternoon here. GOt a phone call from mom and dad. Dad went for a stress test and they weren't happy with the results. He has to go to the hospital tomorrow for further testing.

THen, I got a phone call from my sister-in-law, my brother also went for a stress test and he has to go to the hospital tomorrow for more testing/procedure.

I won't be around becasue I am going to go pick them up and take them to the hospital. PLease keep them both in your thoughts. I'd really appreciate it!

I will check in when I get home tomorrow. DOn't know what time that will be. Have to pick them up at 5:45, which means I need to leave by 5:00am.

See you all tomorrow!

Oh wow Janet! :hug: I will definitly keep them in my thoughts!

T- Hope you feel better...good luck with all the kids! :cool2: you`ll be fine~!

I`m hitting the hay! :littleangel:

Morning, all!

I need to very quickly shower as I need to leave for the vet in about 20 minutes (this is where the new haircut works great, I guess) but I thought I'd quickly check in. I spent too much time reading the local paper - a couple of towns over, 4 teenagers decided to rob a house, and if anyone was home, well, they'd just have to die. :eek: They killed a woman and nearly killed her 11 year old daughter - her husband was away on business. :sad2: Everyone kind of assumed it was a robbery gone wrong, but apparently, it didn't need to go wrong for this to happen. :sad1:

Sick, and sad. And very unexpected in a town that hasn't had a violent crime of ANY kind in over 10 years. Sigh.

Sorry, that's rather a downer. :guilty: Hope everyone has a good day, and I'll check back later. :grouphug:

I tried. I really did. I'm TOTALLY the wrong person this week, but I'm usually good at talking you down...deep cleansing breaths....In with the good air, out with the bad air....

Book it, book it, book it....heh heh
:lmao: Thanks. Thanks a lot. LY!

Hey all. Not a good afternoon here.
Oh Janet! :hug::hug::hug: Many positive thoughts going your way.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hmmm. Well, both my antibiotic and Rx decongestant have the side effects of dizziness and disorientation. THAT's making for an interesting day so far. :rolleyes:
I did step away from the ledge yesterday. Aren't you proud of me?!
But I seem to be sidling up to it again this morning.
Maybe, if I keep creeping up to it, then backing away - eventually there won't be any availability left and it'll stop tormenting me?! :rotfl:
No, I do think I'll make a switch. I just need to lower my expectations of it some. Think I'll take a look at off-site offerings in a bit...
That's terrible, but in LA it's an everyday occurance. Yesterday they found a woman's body in dumpster near the freeway on ramp to DLR. SHe was killed, then set on fire. Then near my old high school, there was a home invasion robbery. They were looking for drug and money and it seems they had the wrong house. That one scares me the most - home invasion. It's sad that I've already showed my kids where to hid if that ever were to happen. We live on a cul-de-sac, so it's not easy to get in and out.
Today is the first day of playing taxi. I've got a crazy schedule... Max needs to be at school by 7:45, Evan by 8:00, Maddie at 8:10 and Michael at 8:45. Whew! Then the pick up schedule is 11:20 for Evan, Maddie at 2:20, Max at 2:47, and Michael at 3:17. :worship: It's going to be a busy day!
Ok, I need some Focker advice. My ADR window opens this week. I want to book something quiet and romantic for Andy and I. I'm thinking Artist Point or Bistro de Paris. Any thoughts? :confused3
Good luck! ;)
I know, it's just the small-town shock. We live very close to the two largest towns in NH - and neither is even a "city" so to speak, but they have gang violence and have had several murders this year. It's just that it happened in a town of 2500 people, and the kids who allegedly did it were from other small towns around - AND they were Eagle Scouts, church-goers, drama club members - not exactly your typical people on the edge... Sigh.
Yikes! :faint:
The dog seems fine to the vet, though there will be some typical lab tests - and he was oddly thirstly all last week, so we're checking that out for sure. I then went to the grocery store (where I once again lost my list - I don't know what's going on with that trend, and it's driving me nuts! :rotfl:)
Now, I need to do floors - vacuum, mop - but I have no desire right at the moment and I should have more than enough time. I think I'm going to take a little nap. Shhh! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
Just wanted to pop on and say Hi, I also wanted to offer hugs and prayers to all that need them :grouphug:.
CE..thats scary! :eek: even for down here!
T,,Thats even SCARIER!! :scared1: :hug:
V. Off site??! :guilty: :faint:
I`m off to do some shopping for the wedding this weekend. TJ Maxx and Dress Barn for me.
its very windy here. the top is up. I`m probably going to be blowing all over the place,,the Jeep is like tent on wheels when its windy! :rotfl2::car:
any news from Krystel?
I've made the rounds for anniversary dinners, lol! AP is really nice, but wasn't as romantic as we'd anticipated it being. Kind of bustling.
CG is lovely, but a little loud.
Yachtsman was a surprisingly nice spot; quiet and felt off the beaten path.
If I were booking now, I'd be considering Citricos and Blue Zoo as possibilities. I have friends who book Bistro for every romantic meal. Believe it or not, I don't especially like French cuisine (I KNOW! :faint:), so I've never been.
V. Off site??! :guilty: :faint:
I know. :sad2: I did look... and there ARE some nice prices... I just can't seem to talk myself into them. I'm so stuck on BC/YC and KNOW I can't spend that kind of money. How do I work past that?! :rolleyes:
Careful what you wish for... I did, indeed, canter - but not by choice, lol! Wow, the horse I rode last night has some get-up-and-go and took off in a canter when I wasn't ready. I'll be honest - it scared me. A lot. My adrenaline kicked into overdrive and I kind of fell apart when I got home. :sad1: But it was a good learning experience; I've found that I've been doing some things incorrectly and my new instructor will help me fix that. :thumbsup2
Yikes that would really scare me too, it's the feeling of not being in control that does it for me! Glad you were OK!
New page Mo-Jo! no, really I came back because I was wondering if someone could send me the PM re: UM. I know the story and the Whos. but I wonder if its the same story..KWIM?
I need to know all sides of story please :rotfl2:
Fine! here it is! :lmao::rotfl2:
That's terrible :sad2:
Basketball was good last night, I think I watched the mascots more than the game though oh and it was so unlike anything else I'd been too with lots of music to clap too etc!!! Still can't get over the car parking charge though, £25 which is about $40 :faint: Played golf today and won :yay:
Just wanted to pop on and say Hi, I also wanted to offer hugs and prayers to all that need them :grouphug:.
Hi Tracy. Long time no post! :wave2:
Ah yes.. the whole "when good kids go bad" syndrome. I always wonder if they're "good" behavior is just a front. I mean kids just don't make up their minds one day to murder someone, KWIM? Or do they? :sad2:
I'm sorry, I must have missed where you posted something was wrong with Linus. Hope it's not serious.
any news from Krystel?
I was thinking about her today as well. :hug:
Enjoy your shopping! :goodvibes
See, I thought about CG, but the cuisine is too... California, KWIM? :laughing: And I refuse to see Wishes without the kids. :guilty:
Yachtsman was a surprisingly nice spot; quiet and felt off the beaten path.
Hmmm... have to check the menu.
I have friends who book Bistro for every romantic meal. Believe it or not, I don't especially like French cuisine (I KNOW! :faint:), so I've never been.
What? Frenchie doesn't like french food? ;) I just loved Le Chefs this past time, but it was too noisy for a romantic meal. I thought Bistro would be quieter and no kids and I reeeeeeally want a table for 2 near the window so we can watch IROE.
Good thing I have a few days to decide. :rolleyes1
I know. :sad2: I did look... and there ARE some nice prices... I just can't seem to talk myself into them. I'm so stuck on BC/YC and KNOW I can't spend that kind of money. How do I work past that?! :rolleyes:
That's what a Disney VISA is for, V. :teeth: No interest for 6 months. LY!
I need to know what you all are talking about! :hyper: I know it's chismos!
That's how games are here, Jo. Lots of loud party music, dancing, clapping... nothing like going to a Basketball game. GO LAKERS! :cheer2:
Congrats on your golf game.:goodvibes What did you win?
Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. My brother came through cardio cath with no issues. One artery was 99% blocked:eek: THe docotr was amazed that he had no symptoms. They put a stent in and he is fine. He will be released tomorrow:thumbsup2
My dad goes to Celebration Hospital at 2pm for his test. They are checking his circulation (putting things on his legs to check it???) Will update you on him when I get word!
Jim was late for school this morning. See what happens when I am not here...he forgot Jimmy's change of clothes and had to come back and take them back to school. They can't live without me;)
Now I am just veggin until after school time. Jim will be picking me up, then Jimmy has a therapist appointment. From there we will probably stop and get something quick for dinner and then pick up Jimmy's cub scout uniform from the dry cleaners.
HAve a great rest of the day!:goodvibes
Yikes that would really scare me too, it's the feeling of not being in control that does it for me!
Exactly! The horse knew perfectly well what to do, but I'm not happy giving up control! :rotfl:
$40 to park?!?! Nuts. Congrats on your win!
What? Frenchie doesn't like french food? ;)
Crazy, non?! I was shocked when we went to Paris; everything, no matter how simple, was just too rich for me. I looove cheese, but a little goes a long way. They're not big on chicken and I don't like beef. And fish... usually comes with the head attached. UH-UH!! :crazy2: :rotfl:
I thought Bistro would be quieter and no kids and I reeeeeeally want a table for 2 near the window so we can watch IROE.
::yes:: That's exactly why my friends go there!
That's what a Disney VISA is for, V. :teeth: No interest for 6 months. LY!
~ sigh ~ only if you're not alreayd carrying a balance. It's a small one, but still. :guilty:
WOW, and yay! :hug:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, I met the ledge halfway. ;) Moved up to an SSR studio, but not all the way to BC/YC. We'll be happier with some extra space, and SSR really is "home" for me; I'm happy in that place! :goodvibes

AND, I saved money toward that one by downgrading Halloween to CBR.

I win!!! :yay: :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:Fuzzy DIsney Math at it's best:thumbsup2

T - I agree with V about AP. You know I always talk up AP becasue of my mom (and she would love to see you!) but it is not a very quiet place.

What about Jiko or the new place at AKV, Saana?

What? Frenchie doesn't like french food? ;) I just loved Le Chefs this past time, but it was too noisy for a romantic meal. I thought Bistro would be quieter and no kids and I reeeeeeally want a table for 2 near the window so we can watch IROE.
I went there in December and thought it was lovely, the food was delicious, the setting quiet and beautiful and the waiters loved my accent ;):rotfl2: We also ate at Jiko which again had a lovely ambience, how about Citrico's? Never been but the food isn't child friendly so should be quieter :thumbsup2

That's how games are here, Jo. Lots of loud party music, dancing, clapping... nothing like going to a Basketball game. GO LAKERS! :cheer2:
It was a bit different to when I went to Wimbledon :rotfl2:

Congrats on your golf game.:goodvibes What did you win?
It was just the first round of a pairs game :thumbsup2

Wow, good job they caught it :thumbsup2

Woooohoooo :woohoo:

Hi everyone!

Recovering, slowly...but wanted to touch base.

T: I hope you guys have fun on your alone trip! It's so nice to have time together ALONE in Disney. I agree with the others on AP. Love the food but didn't think it was quiet or romantic. I'm wanting to try Bluezoo so badly!

V: Scary about the horse. Hope your meds are helping you feel better. :goodvibes

JO: Outrageous parking fees! Glad you won tennis. :thumbsup2

CE: Too scary!!! I know what you mean though. Small towns don't usually have that type of violent crime. It's a shock.

Janet: Glad DB's test came back ok.:rotfl2: Keeping fingers crossed for Dad. :hug:

Angela: I'm so sorry about the possible deployment. Hug Mitch tight for us. :lovestruc

Sorry if I missed anyone. I'm going to take some Ibuprofen. The sun is shining here but I can't go outside, drive or do anything! Grrrr.
Oh, and my baby left for 3 days of 6th grade camp. I'm missing him already.
