Hi all my Focker Friends!

Sorry I didn't give an update today, but DH didn't leave me a computer at the hospital. But I do have an update:

I AM HOME!!!!!!

Yep, you read it right! My doctor came in this morning and gave me a list of four things I had to do before going home:

1. Eat real food (done last night at dinner)
2. Take oral pain meds instead of IV (done at breakfast this morning)
3. Be able to walk (done this morning around 10:30 with my mom)
4. Pee -- I won't share the details of this one!

So, when the doctor came back after office hours, she filled out my discharge papers and I was home by 6:15pm!

I'm really feeling pretty good. Not a lot of pain at all. I'm going to take it easy for a few days, but I don't have any driving restrictions. She said I could drive as long as I'm not on narcotic pain meds. And I haven't really taken anything since this morning.

Thanks so much for all of your well wishes and prayers! They definitely worked! I'll be on more tomorrow, but I think I'm going to go relax on the sofa for tonight. Love you all!

SO glad you are home. Just make sure you take it easy, rest and heal...unlike other FOckers we know (Dawn )

Evening everyone I'm home from a LONG day at work over 12 hours !! That's what I get for being sick 1 day!! I got a lot done today but then one of the cosumers was rushed to the ER and admitted so I had alot of phone calls paper work and staffing to do.I went up to check on him at the hospital. He is non verbal and is so confused , it was soooo sad!! I am still not feling great but I made it thru the day. Judy is even sicker than I was and came home from work in the middle of the day!!
I updated my PTR a little no new pix till I get some on a disc and add them to photobucket then you may be inundated with Rosie pix !!
A somewhat belated WELCOME to Cupcake !! Did we scare her off!! Come on Cupcake jump in and chat !!We only bite on Sundays !!

I have some sad news to report. Swimmy Squirt died today. Evan is completely devistated - NOT! Darn kid! When I told him his turtle died, he asked when we could get a new one.

The good news is, we have 2 gold fish to replace Swimmy Squirt. They were actually the turtles buffet entrees, but they out lived the turtle, so they've become instant pets!

Tomorrow Andy's off from work, and we're going to be horrible parents and send the kids to school and then were heading to Disneyland! Our passes expire next week and we aren't renewing them at this time - so we gotta get our fix in while we can and WITHOUT KIDS!!!

Hey, has anyone seen Margie??? I haven't heard from her since the MK meet? I hope she's ok!

Jo,I did see some pics and the girls are just gorgeous.I had hoped to be able to read trip reports this weekend but it didn't work out.I have so little time at home now and I am trying to spend as much time with the kids as possible.Me working full time has been hard on all of them.Rachel is still crying several times a day at the daycare and that is soo unlike her.

I actually have some news to share, usually I am so boring and can only comment on others lives.

I just got an e-mail about a position I applied for at the beginning of August! I had pretty much given up on it but they just sent me an e-mail today to set up an interview for next week. It is just a reception/office admin job at the university but it will pay a bit more than I get right now and I can still keep my current job (I can cut back on my shifts to 1 a week) for a bit of extra money. Not to mention I don't want to out and out quit my current job as I will want it for next year when I start school again. Anyways I am feeling a bit anxious now, but it is a good anxious. I am not going to get my hopes up as the competition will probably be fierce as everybody in town wants to work for the university. It would be great if I got it though.

Not really an answer, but she's not mad and she seemed happy that I at least said SOMETHING back.

The positive thing is that there is communication. Even if things aren't going as "hoped"...the lines of communication are open, not shut.

Sooooo...

Jon was supposed to see 2 docs today. The pulmonologist and neurologist. But, the neurologist was out of town and they had us down with someone who didn't know Jon. So, I rescheduled that.

The pulmonologist tinkered with some of his meds, to hopefully get him back under control asthma wise.

I don't know if I shared this, but when Jon saw the pulmo back in June they heard a heart murmer (really, more of an irregular heart beat). They did an EKG and referred us to a cardiologist. The cardiologist reviewed the EKG and the doctor's notes and said that everything seemed within normal limits, and to follow up with our pediatrician. If anything else was heard, then the ped should refer to the cardiologist. But, otherwise, he should just be followed for the time being. I wasn't happy with this...and I didn't feel settled. So I made an appt. with our ped...who I trust VERY much. She did another EKG, and listened herself, and heard NOTHING. Nada. No murmer or irregular heartbeat.

Well, today, at the pulmo, they heard a very pronounced murmer. They again brought down the cardiologist. Did another EKG, and indeed, there was a more pronounced heartbeat irregularity. It's nothing that places him in immediate danger. But, we do need to see the cardiologist. The cardiologist said that the concerning thing is that this has evidently not been present since birth, it's a new development. So, we'll be heading back to Abq. ASAP for yet another appt.

I've been hoping all day long. I'm hoping it's nothing. I'm hoping it's just a "thing." I really am not prepared for more with Jon. I'm just not. We have a list of diagnosis a page long. I can't do this anymore. I just can't.

The other thing they are recommending is for him to go back to the ENT. He has chronic sinusitis. He gets sinus infections at least 6-10 times a year. They want a CT scan done. The x-ray that he had done last shows that he is missing his left nasal sinus. The ENT will tell us what we can do about this. I hope.

We're near San Antonio. We're about 130 miles from the coast. The news is saying it may get ugly here if we're onthe front NE side of it. We could get 100mph winds!
I think I'll be getting groceries and gas in the morning just to be safe.

And although we always catch those bends...sometimes we veer off a little too much to the left before getting back on the straight and narrow. (NODr. Phil euphamisms)

I'm going to work at Gus' school this am. In the library, with my favorite girls!!! Yay! That will give me some time away from the inlaws.

I wanted to tell you guys that SD had the BEST day yesterday!!! He didn't have a single moment of anxiety at all! He came home so happy. It really made my day.
