Kat- Those are great pictures. You did this for several years? What got you into it? I haven't ever been into wrestling, other than living by a former wrestlers Estate (Vern Gonya) I think he took a big part in making wrestling a big deal or something like that...?

I did it for about 6 years. All over the tri-state area and then some. I started as a referee (because of an ex boyfriend who never followed through and became a wrestler) and then went to managing(the chicks outside the ring who get involved occasionally) and then to a full on wrestler. I mostly wrestled guys tho, when I was "coming up" there weren't as many woman as now. I'm not into wrestling now, it bores me, doing it was much more fun. LOL. The name Vern Gonya rings a bell but I'm not too sure). It was fun while it lasted but if I didn't stop when I did i could be worse off now than I am (which is pretty bad some days).

So the apt is a no go. KC went, took some pics and he pretty much liked it- mostly due to the fact that its not this apt (IMO). It had very few windows (esp in the living room) and I need some light. it's also a basement so the ceilings were lowish too. And ONE closet in the whole thing. We had a long "talk" about it and I guess I won and we aren't going to go back and see it. Wanna see pics????

We got the first story done....second story done.......then he made his new fancy ladder extend to the tippy top............cleaned the windows good.........and we had run outta film. I have to order more from CT.

The limited closets would be tough too.
Is it hard to find an apt? I'm reading a book by Meg Cabot "Queen of Babble" and she is a girl from Michigan who moves to NYC and tries to find an apt, get a job, etc. She has to pay a broker to find her a place to live (just to rent).

We're just adding solar film to them---the sun in the afternoon makes it difficult to watch TV and can get over-warm in the summer. It doesn't block the mountain view at all. It's kinda like a wallpapering project though---which I heard can test the best marriages!


BTW--my 18th anniversary is tomorrow!

It is hard to find an apartment in our price range. I seriously do not understand how people can afford $2000 for a one bedroom apt! We are willing to go no higher than $1100. That apartment was $1000. We need to do more leg work now, we are going to go around the neighborhod and look for rent signs on KCs days off.

so , he wants to work in the title industry or real estate.

but, i told him whatever makes you happy, that's what's important, not the amount of money you make.

but............ we could take more trips to disney, if he made more money!!

It has been so long since we rented.
It seems so wrong to pay so much for rent when a house payment can be less.

Of course you have to have $$$ for downpayments on a house. Now it's even worse for trying to get a loan because of all the defaults.

Don't worry about seeming young or childish. Needed and WANTING your family around only makes you a loving person. Not a child. The world is a scary place. I hope my boys want to stay nearby for a while too.

Someone asked if the graduation thing was sorted - it is, but not as well as I thought. MIL & SIL said Friday that the actual ceremony was from 2-4, making it easy for us to just show up for dinner and not have to spend the day down there, but MIL called back last night and the ceremony IS at 11:00 (which I thought all along, based on the first info back in Dec.) So, we'll probably be obligated to show up more along the 1:30 line and find an activity with MIL and such before dinner.

Dgd sent me a text that she read to me I thought all it said was "God Loves you, send this message to 10 others and see what he will do for you" So I had her send it to 10 people one of whom was DSIL! Well after Jessica nearly fell asleep at the table I made her go to bed at about 6.30pm, she was creating saying it wasn't fair that Ellie was up watching TV etc etc oh and her teddy got dirty at the party and she said he's ruined and will never be clean ever, sign of a tired girl huh Well literally within 2 minutes of forcing her to bed she was asleep, Mum does know best

Well back from the outlet mall. I won't be making any special trips up there again anytime soon...I didin't think the deals were that great. BUT if Mo wants to have a meet there it only took me about an hour and 15 minute to get there. The so called Disney Outlet had the same exact stuff as the regular Disney Store at the same prices

that stinks, no good deals!! is the disney store around you closing too?

We had a very nice dinner, but D came home and he feels rotten. Darn it all.

TEminnie, I have some slightly used solar film that you can have. Come on by. I put plantation blinds up on all my windows, light, energy savings and privacy at a reasonable price. Happy 18th! I am assuming it is a wedding anniversary but nowadays doing anything for 18 years is cause for celebration!!

KatGarcia, what is up with all these DIS gals and wrestling? I know another lady who is retired from that profession. I never did it myself but Dick the Bruiser did used to sign some of my paychecks. Impressed? Do you even know him?

rachel3, I was in line at WWTBAM once and the man next to me answered his cell phone, talked a couple of minutes, hung up and grinned at me while he said that he had just made $300 because he was a lawyer. Not sure I believed him but it sure did sound good. I get paid for giving advice but not that much, wish I did cause I have soo much advice to give.

For those of you who are foundering and not sure what the future brings. Do not worry. At my 'advanced' age I can tell you that the opportunities missed give you the freedom to accept something better down the road. The tough times give you an appreciation for when the good ones come.

The girls I went with are teachers/librarians and moms from my DS's elementary school. WOW. These women CAN THROW DOWN. I got there and it's a gross, neighborhood divey kind of bar. I'm sure I sound spoiled but I don't hang out in those places! I never have. Not cuz I don't like to drink... because I was married and PREGNANT at 21 and never really *GOT* to. Anyhow, it's WAY smokey (still can smoke EVERYWHERE here. I hate it!!!) and loud. And the mom next to me was having an appletini. It looked good so I got one.

Then I got 4 or 5 more. I am in SERIOUS pain here. You guys don't even know. My head hurts, I've been nauseous all day. Head stuffy and sore throat from the smoke.

Or from screaming "I've got friends in LOOOOOWWWW places!!!!" and "ELVIRA" all night!

And I'm pretty sure I can never show my face in that bar again after our rousing rendition of "The Humpty Dance" complete with moves.
