:hug: That's really nice of you! I think she was afraid to leave him since the nurse at Smyth Co. had told me that she needed to stay with him since he was so unstable.
The next step is how to keep him from going septic the next time--his immune system is really shot.

I went to Valley View the last time I took him to the doctors and was amazed at how big it is now! (I went to VT and did my internship at Lewis Gale and Roanoke Memorial so shopped there a lot then)

Maybe we can "do lunch" when I take him to another doctor appt---last time I had a couple hours to kill whilst he was getting his treatment.

Yeah Valley View had a MAJOR OVERHAUL in the last year or so.

Absolutely... you call me or PM or something I'd love to meet you for real.

:woohoo: :woohoo: Yay!!! Glad to year your dad comin home... that's always good news :thumbsup2

Shopping sounds like fun!!!

.... soo bosslady :worship: I was thinking it's about time for me to get some sort of a title eh... I figured something to do with mountains... crafts... siggies... something hehe whatcha think :confused3 I will let you all proclaim me as I can't think of a cool one hehe
We may need an Official Rocky Mountain Border Patrol to keep all those Californians on the other side! :rotfl:

Or an Official TFW Siggie Whiz since you seem to have a heck of a picture thing going on there!

Other ideas???

I like something along the lines of "Siggie Wiz" what she has is unique.

As I remember the story of Esther she was married to the king and she herself was Jewish. The former queen had been executed for refusing to appear naked. Because of Esther's intervention the king did not do, as many wanted him to do, and execute the Jews. She risked her life to do so. She is a great Jewish heroine.

I can name each and every one of Henry the VIII's wives, tell their stories and how they died and which two survived him.

I am a font of useless knowledge, however it does no good as both of your meets are before I get to DW. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: I was looking forward to it too cause there is a very good chance that I will be on my own, for the first time in my adult life. Grandma gone wild!!! :dance3:

It appears as if you all are busy as can be and in the midst of turmoil here and there, including being perverted. :rotfl: Same old, same old??? :)

I am with Anne of Cleves in that it pays to be less than stellar looking and know when to get out and stay out!! She had it the best of them all IMO.

T: Glad Maddie's feeling better.

CE: :rotfl: @ your Pampered Chef night. Especially when the chair back broke off! :eek: :lmao:

TE: :banana: on your dad's return!

Lessa: :hug: I know exactly how you feel. The truth of the matter is that it's not the same anymore as to what our parents think.

I agree with the other Fockers though and life has a funny way of working itself out. I still have those moments of stress too though. It's been 3 yrs now after I've graduated and cannot find a well paying job, I've never had a serious relationship (just now am actually starting to date someone on a regular basis), and still live with my parents. Whereas I have friends that live on their own, married, have kids and good jobs already. Then the other half are still like me or someone in between the two.

My advice is to at least enjoy the now and go with your gut. :hug:

too bad u don't have internet!!! :surfweb:
do you work register in er ?

Yes I do. Last night was super slow :snail:, I was suffering. Then this morning around 6:45 all the crazies came out. So I'm afraid of what tonight will bring. :scared:

Catherine of Arragagon, also surveived him but she truly loved him! the others were arranged or forced marriages. I doubt if he had lived longerm Catherine would have survived. I twas easier to behead a commoner than a foreign princess!!

Funny stuff huh? :)

Well, my dad is coming home today!

:hug: :hug: So glad to hear it!!

~~~~~~~~~~~
KC went to see the apartment without me, I'm just feeling blah today. He's gonna take pics tho! Hopefully if it is a really good place then we won't look too eager since I have to go back with him (more than likely) to see it.
We are going to watch some Indiana Jones tonight! I have seen them but it was a million years ago so I wanna catch up before #4! :goodvibes
Kat- Those are great pictures. You did this for several years? What got you into it? I haven't ever been into wrestling, other than living by a former wrestlers Estate (Vern Gonya) I think he took a big part in making wrestling a big deal or something like that...??
CE- Have a fun no cooking evening!
TE- Glad dad is coming home.
T- I'd love to hear about your family antics. popcorn:: popcorn:: It'll keep my mind off of mine;)
Jo- You are a little suzzy homemaker aren't you??? We do not eat leg of lamb, here too often.
Goofy- What a lesson in History you are! :)
Kat- I agree...Tanya is the siggie wiz! She saved my butt, when my computer wasn't doing what everyones else's does.
V- When are you coming home?
______________________________________________________________
I just awoke from a a 3 hour nap. This cold mixed with allergies is kicking my butt! I am really trying to figure out my Nov. Trip itinerary...just a bit hard to do, since Disney is well over 2 weeks late with the park hours. What is a girl to do???? Anyone else ever have to deal with this?
My DH did mow the law. Just hasn't clean up the mulch areas and re-mulched yet.
DS went to a b-day party and came home saying that the boy had a mixed up party~ Transformer invites, Sponge Bob Pinata, spiderman plates. He though it was the best thing ever:confused3
Tink is getting in trouble for stealing her brothers Pokemon cards. And hiding the cards. All over the house.:confused3
I just want to go back to sleep. :rolleyes:
(ok--that'll be $65 for TE's Career counseling---paypal accepted! )
:laughing:
What is the date???
June 21st. 1st day of summer:thumbsup2
I
Janet- Jimmy was dreamin. To bad you weren't
I think that is exactly what it was
Jess didn't go to sleep until 8am when I picked her up at 2pm she was still in her PJ's :rotfl2: Not looking forward to later though!!!!
:scared1:
Jeeze you all got chatty last night, didn't you? I had to run as Evan must have been channeling Jimmy and was having a temper tantrum on this side of the country. He cried himself to sleep as well.
Sorry..now exactly what you went through:sad2: :hug:
We got an early family drama call this morning at 6:30am. I'll go into it later. Bring your popcorn.
popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::
Just got off the phone with my friend (the one with whom we do all the holidays) and she has a bunch of leftover lasagna, so she & her girls are coming over in a bit for a playdate and dinner. And she's bringing dinner!
I have to go buy some salad and wine, though, I think. D's home by around dinner time as well, so I probably will be mostly absent tonight and tomorrow, what with the family stuff and D's two nights home out of 12.
See ya soon!
Not having to cook:banana: :banana: :banana:
Almost forgot Rosie did it again!! Dgd sent me a text that she read to me I thought all it said was "God Loves you, send this message to 10 others and see what he will do for you" So I had her send it to 10 people one of whom was DSIL! Minutes later he calls and says thanks for the text but what does the bottom part mean " SEXY CAN I" :scared1: I didn't hear that part and now I have to wait for my Boss, the Nurse and others to call and let me know I am a pervert!!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Well after Jessica nearly fell asleep at the table I made her go to bed at about 6.30pm, she was creating saying it wasn't fair that Ellie was up watching TV etc etc oh and her teddy got dirty at the party and she said he's ruined and will never be clean ever, sign of a tired girl huh :rotfl2: Well literally within 2 minutes of forcing her to bed she was asleep, Mum does know best
Will she sleep through the night?
Well, my dad is coming home today! :yay: His final dianosis was double pneumonia which is clearing. He will be on antibiotics and limited activity this week.
Mom sounded much better---she had located a JCPenney sale at the mall (Tanglewood, BTW Katt) and she was happy with her conquests. I was glad she got out some as she has slept in his room in a chair everynite---not good when you have fibro too.
Great news TE:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
---------------------------------------------------------------
Well back from the outlet mall. I won't be making any special trips up there again anytime soon...I didin't think the deals were that great. BUT if Mo wants to have a meet there it only took me about an hour and 15 minute to get there. The so called Disney Outlet had the same exact stuff as the regular Disney Store at the same prices:headache:
I did get a nice deal on some shots for Jimmy at Osh Kosh, but that's it.
Tomorrow is back to work and school.:sad2: Why do the weekends go so fast? At least next weekend is a long weekend:banana:
I did get a nice deal on some shots for Jimmy at Osh Kosh, but that's it.
Ya know, I always WANT to give shots to my kids but haven't dared yet. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:
LY/MI. :hug:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We had a very nice dinner, but D came home and he feels rotten. :sick: Darn it all. He's reading to the kids now, so we'll see if he falls asleep on the couch (in which case I'll be online) or if he's awake enough to talk and/or catch up on our shows (in which case I'll be offline.)

Just in case, I'll say goodnight. I'll "eat" my words if I need to. ;)

You just finished dinner, your gonna eat words now:upsidedow

It must be like getting together with a group of teachers...;) :lmao:

Had to quote Jen as her comment was VERY timely with my evening out last night! :lmao:

Ok, first, yesterday I went to Home depot to get signs for my garage sale. We were in the driveway (DS15 had a friend over, who was in my truck already...) DS was goofing off and when I opened up the back (trunk) to get DS10's bike out, he jumped in and was pretending that he was going to start the car. I was like, "Just get outta that seat!!!" I was standing behind the truck and had set my cell down on the bumper thingy so I could get the bike out. I could just picture him throwing it into gear and SMUSHING me. So, I was all distracted and slammed the trunk on my cell phone! DOH! :headache: It's got a "white screen of death" thing going on with it now. I can get calls but I can't dial out cuz I can't see what I dialed!

So, DH gives me his "extra" phone to use on my Karaoke night out last night. It's such a dinosaur phone but oh well, at least I'll have one.....

I'm back! And...

It was HOT! :faint:

The rest will have to wait for an upcoming TR segment. ;)

\No time to catch up - you all chatted up PAGES since Fri.! And. Desperate Housewives starts in 9 minutes. Anything I need to know? Hope you all had good weekends! See you tomorrow....

Then the night out!

The girls I went with are teachers/librarians and moms from my DS's elementary school. WOW. These women CAN THROW DOWN. I got there and it's a gross, neighborhood divey kind of bar. I'm sure I sound spoiled but I don't hang out in those places! I never have. Not cuz I don't like to drink...:sad2: because I was married and PREGNANT at 21 and never really *GOT* to. Anyhow, it's WAY smokey (still can smoke EVERYWHERE here. I hate it!!!) and loud. And the mom next to me was having an appletini. It looked good so I got one.

Then I got 4 or 5 more. :rolleyes1 I am in SERIOUS pain here. You guys don't even know. My head hurts, I've been nauseous all day. Head stuffy and sore throat from the smoke.

Or from screaming "I've got friends in LOOOOOWWWW places!!!!" and "ELVIRA" all night! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :confused3

Ok, so it was a wild night. I didn't break any chairs (LY CE! :love: ) but somehow I lost the back battery cover to DH's emergency dinosaur phone. How? I can't remember. :eek: And I'm pretty sure I can never show my face in that bar again after our rousing rendition of "The Humpty Dance" complete with moves.:dance3:

Teachers are WILD, man.

Yes---Ab and I were discussing than Anne of Cleves came out best---she apparently was considered the royal sister after the annulment and had money, estate, and freedom which was hard to find for a woman of the times.
These books paint Henry as a handsome prince who turned into a disgusting tyrant. I read on the net that they think he actually died of Type 2 diabetes (which was unknown at that time as no one was old and obese). But it causes impotence, unhealing wounds, tooth decay, intestinal problems, etc. (I find this interesting as a diabetes educator!)

Hi Goofy!! I too love the 6 wives of Henry and I agree Anne of Cleves was the smart one. True! And Anne of Cleves was the equivalent of a duchess in Germany.

Was Germany a bunch of little areas back then?? I meant to look that up sometime. :confused:

Throughout the books, they really don't like the French---if someone looks "too French" then I learned they mean slutty.

June 21st. 1st day of summer:thumbsup2
:thumbsup2 We'll mark the date! I'll be returning from the beach that day.

++++++++++++++++++
Dad looked fine when I brought Bill back. He was glad to be home and will be in bed soon, I bet.

And no doubt all will sleep better tonight...

Good night Fockers... Had a "Night of Worship" at Church tonight... LOTS of music and dancing, and singing and I AM TIRED.

CE... (AND ANY BODY ELSE).. TRY NOT TO TALK ALL NIGHT AGAIN !!:rotfl:

Not sure if many of you know, but it is a long weekend here in Canada, Victoria Day Weekend. This is supposed to be the weekend that kicks off the summer season....ha..........it is freakin' freezing out and windy, windy, windy!!!!

Regardless of the weather, DD (16) has invited her friends over for us to set off fireworks........ I can't believe we are actually going to do this, but we are about to head outside, it is so so so so cold, so windy that we should probably stand half way down the street because that is how far away they are going to blow! I hope our neighbour's don't freak out! Sure hope the kids enjoy.

In the meantime, my poor little dog is going to go crazy when he hears the fireworks. He has never liked them (12 years old now), and will probably shake for the rest of the night :sad2:

Oh well...........off to freeze my butt off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I never come back you know that we blew up the neighbourhood! :rotfl:

Welcome back. I look forward to reading about the fun. I keep hearing other places are HOT. It has been nice and cool here. Today was even chilly.

You missed:
Kat was a wrestler!
TE's papa came home
Janet went outlet mall shopping
I am in bed sick. In the head, body and soul.
T fought off a bad fever of Maddie's and is preparing to give us a tell all.
Then there was the rocking Pampered Chef Party...

But none of us were in WDW, but you. :lovestruc

Or from screaming "I've got friends in LOOOOOWWWW places!!!!" and "ELVIRA" all night! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :confused3
You go Girl! What total FUN!

If I never come back you know that we blew up the neighbourhood! :rotfl:

Lessa: :hug: I know exactly how you feel. The truth of the matter is that it's not the same anymore as to what our parents think.

I don't know how the job market in Canada is, but in the states it's really bad and scary. When they were young having a High School Diploma was enough to get a decent job. Then about 10 years ago having a Bachelor's meant you get a really good job. Nowadays those degrees only get you ok jobs. Nowadays you have to end up with a Masters or higher plus 3+ years of experience to get the reallly good jobs or have really good connections.

The job market is pretty much the same up here. I have this really horrible sinking feeling that I am going to have to move to Toronto to get a decent job which is something I really do not want to do. It may be childish but I do not want to move away from my family, I like having all of us in the same city, I still need my mommy! :lmao:
