In England you don't get a High Scool diploma, what a time I have had with that with employment!!:rotfl2:
I'm sure they looked at you strange with your O levels or were you before those? Anyway :rotfl2:

Morning everyone. Hope all is well with everyone and my did you all chat a lot last night. I was in class learning the fine art of daycare evaluation. It will take me 3 -4 hours in a daycare to fill out this evaluation and the teacher said there will still be things I will not see and will have to ask the teacher about.
Good luck with that I'm sure it'll be interesting!

I don't like to KNOW that the storms that are coming have tornados in them. Makes me nervous all day. But, that is a risk to living here!
That's one great thing about England, no tornados!!!!

So, that'll be about $900 less of payments A MONTH! :cheer2:
Yeah :yay:

I don't think I've lost anything this week. :confused3
I'm sure you have and hope your pain gets better and they sort it out for you

The girl who's doing it tonight is doing the same thing because myself and one other girl who are attending can't have dairy!
Isn't that sweet?
That is very kind of her, have fun :goodvibes

Hope all is weel. BE careful, is it something you can cathc Jo?
::yes:: But only by touch and if it gets into an open wound/sore spot etc!

Figures, doesn't it? Have a good time anyway!
I know!

Well Em definitely has her hands full, Ben has to be naked as much as possible so you can imagine what a 10 week old does whilst he's naked :scared: Em got really sprayed on while she gave him his medicine :rotfl2: So this is creating tons of washing/laundry. Meanwhile they're keeping Ollie totally seperate just incase but he's pretty easy and as cute as can be, he's at the stage where everything is exciting and claps his hands at stuff, so gorgeous :goodvibes

Ellie went to choir tonight and she passed her Deanery award :yay: She'll get her medallion on Sunday 11th May, same day she's doing her first communion :goodvibes

Good job Ellie! And congrats on her upcoming First Communion. What a special time!

MY 5000th Post:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

   :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :yay: :yay:

And here I was, feeling pretty darn proud of my 400+ posts!

:rotfl:

If the hurricanes had been cooler names, then maybe. But Floyd and Gert were too Mayberry for me.

Too funny! :rotfl:

I am aggravated...and I probaly shouldn't be but.....Just got notice that Jimmy's class is having "graduation" (remember he is 4 and this is daycare) on June 13th. At tfirst I was like oh cute...until I read further and the notice said there will be no child care that day and everyone should arrive at 11:00am for the ceremony and a BBQ afterwards. Is it just me, but the only reason I have Jimmy in childcare is becasue Jim and I WORK:headache:

Of course Jim and I are both taking off for it, but couldn't they ave planned it for after work time:confused3 :headache:

Thanks for letting me vent:flower3:

How frustrating! When my son "graduated" from preschool, I didn't even give it a thought of how hard it is for working parents. :sad2:

*stepping onto soap box*

Ahem. Kids are so overindulged these days. "Good job Mikey, you blew your nose". "And Sarah, why you said 'thank you'. What a big good girl you are". I'm all about praise. Kids need to know when they do good. But for Pete's sake, do we need to ALWAYS congratulate every little thing. By the time kids do something really, really good, like graduating highschool or getting into a great vocational program, I fear that our "Good jobs" are going to go unheard.

*stepping off soap box, hoping I didn't offend anyone. If I did, please blame it on the pregnancy hormones!*

Done venting. Feeling much better. Maybe I should call the insurance company now and argue with them! :rotfl:

If he had only cooperated a little more during delivery and had been born 2 hours and 40 minutes earlier;)

Funny how he just missed it by less than three hours! They have their own ways of doing things, right from the beginning!

Sorry Jo, but the picture of this in my mind has me :lmao: I got christened by Jimmy several times when he was a baby.

Ollie is not even a year older than Ben right?

And here I was, feeling pretty darn proud of my 400+ posts!

Please don't congratulate me...it means I need to get a life...or I have to catch up to Jo quicker:rolleyes1

I completely agree. A prize for every little thing..if I gave Jimmy a prize everytime he said please, thank you , or excuse me I'd be broke.:headache:

Like I said earlier, stubborn coming into this world and still stuborn. I keep telling Jim it's his fault. His grandfater was Scottish!;)

Haven't caught up, but I wanted to post....

Good Morning Fockers!!! Happy Friday!!!
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

AMEN sister! :thumbsup2

Hey all---nice day here! Got 2 goats out mowing the grass this morning (one is loose).

Jo---I missed the post about what they said that Ben had.
Did he have the one with the Harry Potter spell sounding disease? (I'm still struggling to keep up---but I liked the sound of the disease, whoever it was---sounded like a Voldemort curse!:lmao:

And I know about Ollie---Sarah is that age and she's so cute--running everywhere though. I ask her "do you want to sit over here?" And she shakes her whole body No!

Well said. As I learn more in my ECE classes the more I know there is a real danger in over praising children. We can acknowledge that they did something they should have. I never use to understand the difference between praise and acknowledgment. We don't need to blow sunshine and bubbles up their butts all day for them to have good self esteem.

Ellie went to choir tonight and she passed her Deanery award :yay: She'll get her medallion on Sunday 11th May, same day she's doing her first communion :goodvibes

That is great. Does your church make a production of First Communion or is it worked into the regular Sunday Mass.

Good job Ellie! And congrats on her upcoming First Communion. What a special time!
Thanks :goodvibes The choir master just came round and wants her to join the Southern Cathedral Singers, thing is it involves singing in Cathedrals all around the country on Saturdays which is Jessica's golf day and as that's basically the only thing Jess does I don't want to put Ellie first IYKWIM?

*stepping onto soap box*
I agree but we don't tend to praise so much over here

Sorry Jo, but the picture of this in my mind has me :lmao: I got christened by Jimmy several times when he was a baby.

I'm just glad Ben got Emma and not me :rotfl2: And yep only about 10.5/11 months between them

Please don't congratulate me...it means I need to get a life...or I have to catch up to Jo quicker:rolleyes1

Sounds idylic and saves you mowing :rotfl:

As Janet said he's got Impetigo, very contagious, hope I haven't got it  It's contagious by touch though not in the air!

And I know about Ollie---Sarah is that age and she's so cute--running everywhere though. I ask her "do you want to sit over here?" And she shakes her whole body No!
It's such a cute age, I was building towers and he had so much fun knocking them down :cutie:

That is great. Does your church make a production of First Communion or is it worked into the regular Sunday Mass.
It's during the main service, they also have a little party afterwards, not sure who provides the food though, I haven't been asked

I picked Jess up from the bus stop and we went and practised our putting and chipping, we had a little putting competition and she nearly beat me  :rotfl2: I then dropped Ellie off at dancing, David's picking her up whilst I make the tea. Bangers and mash with roasted veg!

This weekend is a bank holiday for May Day so the girls have Monday off school!

So what are everyone's plans for the weekend????

Jo - weren't the girls just off for 2 weeks:confused3

My girlfriend and I are taking the kids up to the carnival tonight for a couple of hours and then tomorrow we get to go see Backyardigans Live on Stage. Yes, with a 4 year old we lead exciting lives:rolleyes:

The kids should have fun. The show is in NJ so we get to take a Ferry across the river so they will really like that.

I will make sure to do a mini TR because I know you are all dying to hear all about the Backyardigan's:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

...my sofa, loveseat, and chair are coming tomorrow! :rolleyes1
not sure when tho, so I'll probably have to sit and wait all day.

Jo--what exactly IS bangers and mash? I've heard of it, but not really sure. Sounds kinda bad.

HI TE.. where did you find your new "Sitting Stuff"? I remember you mentioned Roanoke's Furniture Places...That we had a better selection that your neck of the woods. I'm guessing that you have never gone down to High Point NC.. That would be even more out of your way am I right??

Ya know something...While we have some good furniture store around here I think only 1 couch, 2 bookcases, 2 dressers and 1 Chest came from Roanoke.

MOST came from Martinsville area ( and that's an house away from us)since that's where Stanley and Bassett Furniture are/were located.
We got out things from their "Outlets". But it can take patience, I started building my Bedroon when I fell in love with a Cherry Dresser.. took me almost 2 years to finish the bedroom.. but I got a Canopy bed, dresser, chest and 2 night stands.. all Solid Cherry with a deep Mahogany finish.. for around 800.00 when it would have retailed for 3,980.00

I call that a GOOD deal...

Ooh, there's a carnival at the local church this weekend. But I think I will pass and head over to an adult festival (code: booze and gourmet!;) )

Hey! I love the Backyardigans! :teeth:

Shhh, shhhh.. secret! Shhh, shhh.... secret agent! I'm a secret agent on a secret mission! :lmao:

Crap, now I'll be singing that all day! :headache:

I love new furniture! I need new furniture, but Andy says we have to wait until the kids are a few years older!

Wieners and potatoes, right Jo?:confused3

Hello Fockers!

Mel- I need more friend's who can cook...I wanna go to a party with food!

OH and my new Crocs came today from shoebuy!!! :)

Bangers N Mash= yummy!!!

I'll be around today...hope you all have a great Friday!

Well, carp. I thought no one was posting on TFW3 because they just weren't. I didn't realize I hadn't subbed to the new one! Carp!

We're off to the t-ball parade, in the rain. Hooray. :rotfl:

I'll be back now that I realize I was being dumb. I was like, "Why has no one posted?" Because you were subbed to the old one, dummy. :rotfl2:

See ya later!

Welcome CE.. I guess we forgot the bread crumbs.. TE was in charge of those.

So there I was on TFW 3 and I was happy that I only missed 3 pgs only to find out that TFW 4 has been started and I've missed 26 pgs :scared1:.

Quick check in here, I haven't been on the computer much this week in an attempt to actually get other things done like cleaning and organizing. I've shredded 8 paper bags worth of paper so far, cleaned and reorganized and am dying to hit up the Container Store for stuff because they're having an organization sale. :lovestruc Plus getting other stuff done that I'd been putting off.

So hi :wave2: to everyone!!!
