I am aggravated...and I probaly shouldn't be but.....Just got notice that Jimmy's class is having "graduation" (remember he is 4 and this is daycare) on June 13th. At tfirst I was like oh cute...until I read further and the notice said there will be no child care that day and everyone should arrive at 11:00am for the ceremony and a BBQ afterwards. Is it just me, but the only reason I have Jimmy in childcare is becasue Jim and I WORK:headache:

Of course Jim and I are both taking off for it, but couldn't they ave planned it for after work time:confused3 :headache:

Thanks for letting me vent:flower3:

OMG! So am I the only one excited about the SATC Movie out this month???

Right on Janet!!:cool1: You seriously need to spend sometime away from the DIS!!! :lmao: At least you're not as bad as Jo! ;)

OMG, V! I remember that thread..... Remember PaMom and her list of Focker words? :lmao:

I am too excited for SATC!!! I started freaking out when I saw the release date and realized I would be on vacation at the beach, I almost changed weeks for the beach but then I realized what is better than seeing it at the beach? I will be on vacation, so I could even go see the midnight showing on Thursday night and it wouldn't matter because it was during vacation!

:rotfl: Well, since you asked! I just ordered my new entertainment center and tables! I believe I have now spent over $6K this week. which I have never done. Luckily I no-interest financed some of it, and tax refunded some of it, and hoping for my paychecks some of it!My new entertainment center

I'm really excited about seeing it come together--we've had this set since BA was born (and it wasn't that great then). It's been in 5 houses since then.

So thanks for asking! I think I'm done---well, better be---no, I need an area rug but we're gonna wait for that.

Entertainment Center looks awesome! I will be in your position after we get back from FLA. While we are away we are having all the insulation and drywall replaced and carpets pulled up in our dining room, living room, and hallway. When we get back we will need to paint, buy furniture, new curtains, and all the other accoutrement you need when you redecorate. I have told Jim it must all be done by Thanksgiving:scared1:

TE,

I am very concerned. I noticed that your hubby spent a lot of time at "the bar" during your last Disney trip. Now you are dropping some serious dough on new furniture. So, I have to ask, what exactly was he doing at "the bar?" :rolleyes1 And can he show my hubby how to do it?

NOF, but I don't understand why they have preschool graduation. :confused3

I'm so going right after school on the 30th! Did you see Oprah today? I don't normally watch her, but she had the cast on and they showed the wardrobe from the movie.... OMG! Just 1 pair of shoes, pretty please! :cloud9:

Wait, how old is Jimmy? Sounds like he's closer in age to Evan than Maddie. Why do I think he's older?:confused3

Um, HELLO?! Remember me? I have a god and his name is Manolo. "Excited" doesn't cover it - my friend Char and I are putting together a ladies' night to include dressing in our finest, enjoying a sinfully-decadent meal at some trendy restaurant, and, after downing a few cosmos, heading our fabulous selves to the movie that weekend! "I can't wait" is a major understatement!!!

Yeah! Where is she these days???

 Leo's school does that, too.

 Leo's school does that, too.

It drives me crazy. At leaset when he is regular school next year he will have alot of the same days off as Jim. Those that Jim isn't off my girlfriend, whose son will be in the same class as Jimmy, and I are going to alternate and take the kids so we are not both taking the same days off.

Oh, Mo...I'm glad you are feeling a bit better. Keep away from the stress

UGH - a good friend of mine also has Fibromyalgia and I've seen it take its toll on her. I'm so sorry Mo, and glad you're on the mend.

Double UGH! I hate workplace issues. (Going through a doozy myself, so I'm with you there sister.) Hang in there!

I think so :rotfl2:

Oh Mo, poor thing, hope you feel better really soon and take things easy

Thanks guys!
I have to share...

I am out there listening to this tirade, grateful that the boys were inside, and all I can think of is Randy's father from A Christmas Story. Weaving a tapestry...so I start to laugh. Mundane noodle. I laugh even louder. Only I didn't say fudge. My laugh has gone to cackles, and I hear a very distinctive "What the &$%# laughing at?"

Needless to say, I'm inside now.
:lmao:
Happy Anniversary Mrs. Dunbar!
What she said!
Ellie went to choir tonight and she passed her Deanery award :yay: She'll get her medallion on Sunday 11th May, same day she's doing her first communion :goodvibes
WTG Ellie!

MY 5000th Post:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mo---my mom and u have a lot in common. She has fibro too and of course the foot problems. Her doc said some of the meds react differently when u have fibro and u take longer to recover.:sad2: She goes to massage therapy each week which helps!

Yep, when I smashed my foot in 2003, I definately took longer than expected!

Good point Slate, so 'fess TE!
ME EITHER! They are 4 and this isn't even PreK, it's DAYCARE! He goes to PreK in September:confused3

Sorry Janet, but this made me laugh!:lmao:

Jo- That's great. Good job, Ellie! :cutie:

TE- Nice entertainment center! How fun to get to redecorate! I got to do that when we moved two years ago. I'm still doing small things, but that table I bought last month was the end of big things for a while.

Janet- That does seem insensitive to working parents. It's not like it's a Mom's Day Out or anything. People are working. Geez. :headache: I taught the 4yr old class every year, and we never did a "thing." That's strange to me. :sad2:

HEre in Philly it seems to be lets see how we one up each other:sad2: When Jim was teaching in Catholic School, he taught 8th grade-hormone central:scared: THey actaully had to put out a directive that there were to be no limo's for the dinner dance...which was held in the school gym, and most of the kids lived less than 3 blocks from the school:sad2:

He is 4. He turns 5 in September, but in PA he misses the K cut off by 1 freaking day.

Don't you HATE that. IN Kentucky the rule was Calendar Year Jan-Dec .
Most states have a cutoff no matter how you test. Miss it by one day... TOO BAD.

Most "Preschools" here in Roanoke Va. do a Graduration... and they are during the day.. Ours at Church was in the eveneing.
