Good morning Tag buds. Mission complete. yesterday was a complete success. The reception went well. Got a lot of kudos (patting myself on the back)

Bummer though x2. Tom lost in the playoffs and took second place. Sam and her crew did not take home one award!!! 0 for 10!! I was blown away. But there is so much talent here in virginia. I let her sleep in this am. Didn't get home until after midnight.

BTW DANAUK I love the bagpipes too. I hired one when I planned a trip to Scotland and it really got people in the mood to travel there. I made Veggie Omelettes, with Chocolate sauce, chocolate chip pancakes and I stopped at the Deli on my way and picked up Nova Lox, and assortments of Bagels and Chocolate and strawberry cream Cheese.

So what did you leave him? Money, prizes, a trip to WDW the second week of Oct.? I'm a bad mom, I usually give the kids a $1 and a $3 - $4 gift. What would the mommy police say? Not as bad as DH though, occassionally one of the kids will lose one and I won't have already bought something so he'll make a late run to Wal-Mart and come back with a video game or a Barbie! Try stuffing that under a pillow and not waking up the kid.

Daniel is 12 and has 11 - did you hear me - ELEVEN more baby teeth to lose! I think I will be making visits to his apartment when he's in college to finish the job off. Oops! No I won't, my kids aren't allowed to move away.

I think my biscuit is burning! Gotta go!

llebrekniT's A/C advice - Has your DH been checking (replacing) the filters? If not, that'll cause problems for sure. It can make the unit freeze up. Happens here from time to time. Also, did you look at the outside unit? See if there is any ice on it. You can hose the ice off to defrost the unit, sometimes the unit will miss it's defrost cycle and build up ice. Or you may have be leaking freon and to get it charged up. In any case, I hope you were able to rest last night. I know how miserable it is to sleep in that heat. When I was pregnant with Daniel we didn't have A/C. It was an older house and it never really bothered us until I got pregnant. We got a window unit in the bedroom for a while. Then we had the whole house done after we got spoiled for it.

To think I grew up my entire life without A/C. My dad would drag out the window units in about mid July and take them out in Aug. It had to be 90 outside for him to turn them on.

Which reminds me, last night Holly asked me to tell her something about my childhood. That girl just cracks me up with questioning. So I told her we only had 3 TV channels. (Be quiet Lewski) Her mouth dropped. She said "Did you have cartoons?" I said yes on Saturday mornings we did. She was floored by that one. She said there's no way she could have made it back then, she can't go more than a day without watching a cartoon.

And NO, the TOOTH FAIRY in this house doesn't bring trips, tons of $$$, etc.....she just gives one dollar for every tooth, and because this was Jordan's 13th tooth out, he got $13 last night.....normally I do leave him a small gift on the side but this tooth popped out about 9pm and I couldn't leave him home alone to run to the store.....he's pretty darn happy with the $13 and I'm pretty darn happy I had it in my purse!

Yikes! Does Daniel still believe in the Tooth Fairy? Do you still have to sneak the $$ into his room or do you just hand it to him with a wink and a smile? When I was 18 and had all 4 wisdom teeth removed, the Tooth Fairy left me 4 quarters under my pillow....my parents and I still pretend and my Christmas gifts still say "from Santa".

I have friends who don't do the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Santa, etc....because they don't like lying to the kids I think they're fools cause they're missing out on most of the fun.....I just love all the sneakiness and secrecy involved Must have been a successful spy in a previous life

Daniel either still believes or is an excellent actor.

He's hanging onto his childhood years, that's for sure. I'm sure he wouldn't let on if he knew for sure. He's never asked. I believe in don't ask, don't tell.

I have friends that don't do any of the fun, make-believe stuff either. I don't get it. I never felt betrayed by my parents. I'm just so glad they gave me all that stuff all those years. I think I was in 5th grade the first time they "assumed" I already knew there was no Santa and didn't leave me anything from him that year. I was extremely sad and disappointed that morning.
