BTW DANAUK I love the bagpipes too. I hired one when I planned a trip to Scotland and it really got people in the mood to travel there. Sold the trip and it has got to be the best trip I ever planned. beautiful country <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15_1_66.gif' border=0></a>

I really can't stand the bagpipes, I guess I have just heard them played so badly a lot. When I hear them I just want to go and pop the bag!!!!!

I chose my avatar because Donald is my favorite Disney Character. And I love that expression in the picture, the "temper tantrum throwing Donald"! Not that I'm at all like Donald. No. Not me. :sunny: I'm always so sunny and happy!

Happy Birthday s&k'smom. Hope it's a great one!

And RickinNYC, hey good luck tomorrow. LOL. Like I won't see you later.

QOTD answers: My avitar is Tigger just because I like him really. I might change it soon though but am not quite sure what to change it to. Maybe something to do with being English. Any ideas?

We don't really have any magical holiday traditions!!

llebrekniT's A/C advice - Has your DH been checking (replacing) the filters? If not, that'll cause problems for sure. It can make the unit freeze up. Happens here from time to time. Also, did you look at the outside unit? See if there is any ice on it. You can hose the ice off to defrost the unit, sometimes the unit will miss it's defrost cycle and build up ice. Or you may have be leaking freon and to get it charged up. In any case, I hope you were able to rest last night. I know how miserable it is to sleep in that heat.
I tried to post earlier but I couldn't get my keyboard to work. Still having problems with it but...

Thanks. It's good to be back. ::yes:: I'm not planning to go anywhere for a few weeks - I'm off to Boston on July 7 though.

The *$%@^%! AC  ! It's still not working. I had to resort to my "personal swamp cooler" in the middle of the night. Once I put on a wet t-shirt I was able to get some sleep. Poor ohanafamily, though. He hardly got any sleep so I left him home while I worked out. Before I left I noticed it was much cooler upstairs - the AC decided to kick in up there - so I had him move up to the guest room for a couple hours of sleep. It finally started cooling down in our bedroom just before sunrise, but it's still quite warm throughout the downstairs.

As for the cause... We know that the coils are going out on both AC units. We were informed of this last year but told we could probably make it through the summer, which we did. The company we have a service contract with came out early last month to check things out and change the filters. They had to add lots of freon to both units so I talked to them about replacing the coils before it got too hot. The owner of the company never called back to schedule a time and things got hectic around here so I forgot. Guess I should have kept on top of it last month, but oh well. Someone's supposed to be here in a little while to charge the freon and hopefully we'll get the coils replaced by the end of the week.

Hey billysotherdad, did you watch CMT's 100 greatest love songs? I watched some of the concert last night on CMT. If you watched it, who was the girl who sang "You say it best, when you say nothing at all" (I probably butchered the title)? I love that song. Who usually sings it? I thought Dolly Parton was really good.

S&K, Happy B=day,
Rick, Good Luck tomorrow,
TinkBackwards, Hi, You look so absolutely radiant today, how do you do it with all the stress??? Thanks for the AC advice. We have a Trane unit that is about 9years old, and we have a maintenance contract with the people who installed it. The contract does not cover the coils, so it is not an inexpensive proposition, but they discount the labor heavily because of the contract.

QOTB, My avatar is the Dragon available from the list that they had when I signed up. I like dragons, and we have 4 that live with us.

OK, new, where do we all go for lunch?

:bounce:

RRBB, Happy 2000th post. Who are your celebrity bartenders for the party tonight? I bet you want a frozen drink.....

:bounce:

We are going to Fuddruckers or anywhere...or have have leftover pork tenderloin and squash. NC Beast is slowly waking up. He watched Lord of the Rings dvd and the extra bits.

Jessie can't figure out if she likes bagpipes--she was puzzled by the sounds of the one at Reagan's funeral.

Hey there. I did watch most of the countdown, but not all of it, and the concert is on again tonight, and we wanted to catch a COLD CASE that we hadn't seen, so I figured I'd catch the show tonight. I don't know who sang the "...nothing at all" song last night, but it's Alison Kraus's song normally (and she covered it, too) but I don't know who sang it last night. Was she any good? I'll let you know after I watch the show tonight.

DOLLY PARTON IS ALWAYS GOOD! I couldn't believe it when I was in Nashville and got to see her sing live. It was only one song, but I got to see her sing LIVE and it was such a treat!

Watch the rest of the show, and we'll compare notes.

:wave2: Good Afternoon!

Well, the painting around the baseboards, ceilings, and windows are all done....with very little help from me :D I had to watch 'The Others!'

Billysotherdad, THANK YOU! I was trying my hardest to think of that guy's name 2 seconds ago! I knew his name started with a B....Brad Paisley....I must remember that! Thanks!

:cheer2: HAPPY 2000th POST RRBB :cheer2:

I just thought I would share a slight annoyance that happened today! Do you remember yesterday that I spent ages planning my maths lesson that I was going to have watched by an inspector today? Well the man was ill so didn't come in!!!!

TalkisCheap...why were you trying to think of Brad Paisley's name?

<img src="http://i-squad.com/public/webtools/webtool/1607">

Danauk, the nerve of the person! When do they reschedule?

billysotherdad, The Blues Brothers was on TV last night, and I tuned in just in time for the line...

"What kind of music do you play here?"
"Both Kinds, Country AND Western!"

:bounce:

Billysotherdad, I wanted to listen to one of his songs, but I didn't know what the song was called, and I couldn't think of his name. I was just about to go ask my mom when I saw your post, and I knew that was him cause he's a cutie :D Thanks again, I just listened to the song I was thinking of, "Little Moments"

Congratualtions RRBB, on your 2000th post!!!!!!!!
:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :teeth:

billysotherdad, I LOVE Allison Krauss. I saw her sing one time about 10 years ago. It was in Nashville at a Phish concert. She sang with them on their album that had just been released (Hoist, I think). Anyway, my friend & I were shocked & extremely excited when she came out to sing with them. She has an amazing voice.

RRBB, congratulations on 2,000 posts!

Don't know, they probably won't as there isn't really enough time before the end of the school year!!
