Oh great, it seems that e-mail notification is MIA again! Haven't gotten one in two days....:sad2:

Well DH is basking in the warmth of Florida (albeit rainy warmth, but hey!) while I brace for another round of snow/sleet/rain. BLAH. It was .3 degrees this morning when I got up. C'mon, somebody feel sorry for me!:rotfl:

So I'm on the DIS getting excited about our Sept. trip!:yay: Whatever it takes to get through the winter, y'know?!

I feel you, Lego Mom. ::yes:: Sounds like you need to buy some Disney stuff to escape the winter doldrums. How about the 2008 Unofficial Guide or Passporter? Have you ordered the free, personalized park maps at Disney.com? Where's your countdown ticker? Just trying to help you with things to be excited about.:goodvibes

Yep, I have my 2008 PassPorter!! :thumbsup2 LOVE that book. Countdown ticker is also in place!

I did go to the map area at the Disney web site, but I only seemed to have the option to print them out myself (which I didn't want to do on small, thin computer paper!). Am I missing something there?? I actually read about that in the PassPorter but I can't find where to actually order them. The site even has a little video that shows the person ordering!....:sad2: Well, I do have the nice fold-out maps in the PassPorter!

And, since DH is out of town and there is a 2-hour school delay, it means DS6 has no Kindergarten so I'm home from work, too - I've got Live365 on and will be scrap booking my pics from the last Disney trip!!

:)

Were you logged in to the site? If not it may not have given you the order maps option. But like you said, the fold out maps in the Passporter are nice.

I got the 2008 planning video in the mail this week. Getting a package from Disney is always exciting regardless of what it is. We're planning a December trip to coincide with DH's birthday - 12/7 to 12/12. Is it too early to put a ticker in my siggie? :) Although, I don't think it would fit.

Maybe you can smoosh a count down in next to your picture?

We are heading to Epcot tomorrow for the day. It's a high in the 50's so it will be very chilly (from FL standards.)

Mean Queen - wow, that's some weather you guys are having....tornado watches?!! DH just called; they were supposed to go down to Pizza & Pipes tonight, but now probably not (not over that bridge!). Have fun in Epcot tomorrow....:sad1:

Meanwhile, in the Frozen North, we're headed for a high of 17 tomorrow, WITH wind chills. Can you say "sub-zero?!!"

I have been reading and scrap booking today - what a treat! The kids played the PS2 or with their light sabers. DS8 has a friend over for the night (he's the quietest of all his friends, so it's not too nuts around here).

DeterminedOne - how is the new planning video?? I hope it's gotten better in recent years. The last one they made that I really liked was '04, I believe it was (it came in a purple folder). It's long, shows all sorts of stuff, and was well-done. The ones that followed seemed to get really "jerky" and jump quickly from one thing to another - you didn't get more than a couple seconds of any one ride or attraction. And it had those four people do it, the main gal, a mom, the crazy guy, and the try-every-bench guy. Didn't like those at all!

Well I think I'll go crop another page!

I didn't like the DVD's from last few years either. Thankfully for 2008 they got rid of the four and focused more on the Year of a Million Dreams theme. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you are having a fun and relaxing Saturday. :goodvibes

We were lucky to not get really bad storms down in my area. But it's still not a good idea to go over the Skyway with high winds. :scared:

I had a date night with DH. We went to the Melting Pot then saw "Cloverfield." I liked the movie, but I saw about 11 people walk out. One was a group with a kid and it was not a kid movie. I won't ruin it, but it's a monster movie told from the point of view of a group of friends trying to escape. Everything is told from the handicam, so it's shaky and a bit strange. But I loved it. JJ Abrams the man behind Alias and Lost produced it.

Good morning everyone. :surfweb:

It's so cold outside!!! We're expecting a high today of 10 degrees with wind.

Despite all of that, I took my car through the wash. Now my windows are frozen shut. :headache: I know this because I was at the ATM.

Hey - where's everyone hiding? :hyper:

Boo! Here I am! :yay:

We went to Epcot for the day yesterday. It was nice during the day but a bit cold at night. The spot we normally run to by the ball for a cool breeze in the Summer, we tried to run from last night. We met our other Disney fanatic friends and their kids. We had a lot of fun. The kids did the Jr. Chef baking in the Land but my child told me the cookies were too small so she wasn't sharing. :rotfl2: It's been a long time since we just drove up for the day. I think we need to do it more often. :goodvibes :goodvibes :lovestruc

Cute :goodvibes

Glad you had a nice time. What rides/attractions did you get to do?

We did Test Track, Mexico, Norway, Figment, and the new Spaceship Earth. The kids did the cookies in the Land and robots in Innoventions. We ate lunch (CS) in Morocco and dinner (CS) in Mexico. Though my stomach isn't too happy about those choices today. ;)

I just got back from the Dancing with the Stars tour show. It was so much fun. It had Joey Lawrence, Monique Coleman, Helio and Wayne Newton. Wayne sang and mceed but did not dance (luckily.) I was a bit disappointed that Helio and Julianne didn't dance a lot. But Joey was great and Monique did a good job. She even did a number to Bop to the Top from High School Musical. My DD loved it! The professionals really put on a great show. Joey Fatone was in the audience with his family, but he didn't dance. I would have loved to have seen his Star Wars number.

Havent been here in a long time...looks like most are tagged....:)

Oh...not me

You have yet to catch the ever elusive Tag Fairy. It's like a nature show where you see the predators in the wild searching for their prey. :rotfl2:

Woo hoo! One bathroom done and the other half way done. While having our master bath remodeled, we used the kid's bathroom. Apparently, that shower/bath had a leak that we never noticed until there were 3 showers a day in it (rather than the 1 for the kids.) So after our bath was done, the workers had to tear down the wall because it had started to mold and buckle. We just thought it was a poorly done wall... not that something was wrong with it. But soon, we will have 2 bathrooms again.

That's great! Sharing a bathroom is brutal!

So DeterminedOne, since it appears we are the last ones standing, what are you up to this weekend? :confused3

I think I will finally get my hair cut. The last time I did was in June at the Grand Floridian for my vow renewal. I loved it so much I've been worried another hair dresser would not be able to repeat it. So instead, I've let it grow and stuck it in a pony tail. Yeah, that looks great.
