I went for a pedicure with my DD this morning. When the baby gets up, we're taking off. The construction workers will be here this afternoon and I want to be out of their way. DH went golfing.

Hey Mean Queen, that big mess on I-4 the other day that closed 14 miles near Plant City - I had read about it on the Bay News 9 web site and then it made our local news up here in NH!! Wow, what a mess.

That was a huge mess. I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to approve a burn right now. It's been so dry here.

I can't believe you check out the Bay News 9 site. I used to work there until it made me hate news so much. You can only be around people who enjoy the misfortune of others so much before it gets to you. (Not all the employees there, but a few who just drove me nuts.)

My DH leaves Thursday morning for a long weekend down there. Lucky!! I am trying to get my dad to take him down to Pizza & Pipes for dinner one night; he'd really enjoy it! Have you ever been there?

WOW!....I'm going on a DATE tomorrow!! DH is taking me out after church for dinner and a trip to Michael's ( ) to celebrate my birthday, which is next Tuesday.

While we are out together, enjoying a nice meal without the distraction of our beloved children - - I am going to work on him for that 10-day trip to Disney that he promised me this year.... I mean, if he's talking about taking the house off the market to wait out this horrendous ecomony, we might as well put that great job of his to good use! He just got a raise, too, making him think "I want to leave why, exactly??!"

Hmm....think I'd better go look at more dining options and beef up that ADR list I have going!

Never been there! I'll have to look it up. Next time you're down here you should check out Sloppy Joe's on Treasure Island at sunset. For some reason, this place does not get packed. You can get a seat right on the deck by the beach and watch the most beautiful sunsets. The food is good also and reasonably priced.

They're just a bit south of your area - it says 15 miles south of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Quite a dining experience!

Luckily...I don't have to go on I-4 at all on my way to or from work. In fact, I rarely go on I-4 at all..it helps to know the back roads.

First off...it WAS a mess and I'm shocked that there were only four fatalities...it could have been a lot worse.

Second...the pile-up made national news the other night. I was watching NBC and CBS news and they had a reporter on scene.

Third...we heard at work the other day that FHP had given tickets to some of the people who were not injured!

I find it hard to believe...with all that was going on FHP had the time to write tickets to those fortunate enough to not be injured. I hope the judge throws all the tickets out and recommends reprimands against any and all officers who did that. It's ridiculous!

That's near the outlet mall in Ellenton. I haven't heard of it before. DH said he'd worry the organ would get annoying after about 15 minutes.

Happy Sunday all. My DD and I went to the PA Farm Show yesterday. It was nice to see the animals. If I ever figure out how to post pictures, I'll post some. The food is also awesome.

Sounds like fun! We tried to avoid being home most of the day because of the construction. It was just one person, but he's working on the plumbing. And you never want to have 3 toilet trained people in a house without a working toilet. We actually had to bring some laundry to a friends house so we have clothes to wear for the week. We haven't been able to do laundry since the one load we did while on vacation over New Year's.

We did get a very cool new game for the Wii... Rayman's Raving Rabbids 2. It is full of crude humor and cartoon violence, but we love it! Very funny.

We just rented Rayman's Raving Rabbids for PS 2 - the kids love it!! I think we have the 1st version but it's still a very odd little game....

I have a snow day tomorrow for work! My boss called this afternoon and left a message that she's calling a snow day because it's going to be too messy. I'm just waiting now for school to be called. It would be nice if they'd do it tonight but I'm sure they won't, so I'll have to get up early anyway to confirm. They are calling for 8 - 14 inches in southern NH.... what more do they need to call a snow day for school!!!

I don't want the snow but I would gladly take a snow day. First shift hours are killing me!! I found out last week the supervisor I'm covering for won't be back until 2/12.
