Just wanted to drop in and say good morning, well, good afternoon at this point to everyone. It sounds like you all had great weekends, though I think if I had to choose I'd have swapped with Mean Queen!

I hadn't looked at the computer since Friday and came back to see I now have a tag! I am so happy to finally have one!

Well I have diabetes. Silly me forgot to ask if it were type 1 or type 2. I'll have to call tomorrow. The office is going to call something into Target. I'll have to back in in July. I'm guessing it's type 2. I'll have to check and see if there is a diabetes website.

it was on the "Has anyone seen the Tag Fairy lately?" thread. Some of the folks on there have gotten the most unique tags lately (scrolling hula girls, dolphins) so I just said that as a tag spectator, I thought these were the coolest and most imaginative tags I had seen on the Dis. I didn't expect a tag for that, it was just a compliment.

But I am way thrilled to have gotten it!

I just popped by to say good morning. I'm off and running. I'm glad that I am busy right now, don't get me wrong, I know many agents are not. I have heard about burying the statues as well. Not sure that it works or doesn't work but many people do it. It can't hurt.

Thank you! Yes it was busy, busy. Found out yesterday I have to go to Beach Jam in Wildwood on the 17th and camp on the beach! It just never ends! Weeee!

It's a tough-ish thing to have to deal with. While I don't have personal experience with this, I have had to deal with other medical issues kind of like this and my advice is this:
1. Educate! Educate! Educate! It may seem contradictory, but the more you know, the less nervewracking it is.
2. Try to find the silver lining. It's there. Somewhere. Promise. If nothing else, when I'm having trouble finding it, I rely on my old standby: This is another opportunity for me to learn more about myself.

I am so sorry to hear this. I may join you one day. Both my parents had Type II, which is why I am doing my best to exercise and lose some pounds to try and hold it off. But the genetics are against me.

The most important thing you can do is keep your blood glucose under control. That's the key to staying healthy with it.

DO - I see you're staying at the Paris in Vegas! We ate there for lunch, and while expensive, it was so yummy. I recommend it. Just don't plan on any other big meals that day.

Yeah, me too! We're busy at work again this week so I'm gone all morning! It'll be nice on Friday, though, to have a full paycheck!


I put a new countdown ticker in my siggie. I am having a hard time sticking with my weight-loss program so I'm trying to make it more public and give myself some accountability! I'm also posting on the W.I.S.H. forums for some encouragement; they're a great group of people. Anyway, I discovered earlier that if I start now and lose a pound per week, I'll be right at my goal for our Sept. trip!

If that doesn't motivate me, I'm hopeless!
