We are actually doing a full park day at the MK on the day of the party, but we're doing a later start and will break to have dinner at Le Cellier and then go back to the resort to change into costumes.

So, the answer to your second question is yes, we'll be dressing up. Our trip has a "pirate-y (read: we're planning to abduct Cap'n Sparrow)" theme, so we'll either be pirates or Disney-friendly wenches (read: less cleavage and less bare leg).

Wow! You are really doing a hard-core trip. I love Le Cellier. That's going to be a lot of running for you going from MK to Epcot and back to MK again. The monorail will be your friend.

We dressed as pirates a few times. My recommendation, be a pirate wench with comfy shoes. My friend wore really cool pirate boots and was in total pain by the end of the night.

I'm sure your property will sell. We bought 6-1/2 acres a little a year ago. It's waterfront too. The creek is about 8ft-10ft wide!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: But it's full of little waterfalls that sound wonderful!!

I love putting on my water shoes/old sneakers and a backpack and following a brook/stream. Once we were determined to follow it until it came out to a pond. It took hours of hiking through the woods and some very rough terrain. It was so worth it in the end. We found the pond which was shallow enough to walk a good ways out and had beautiful mountain views. One of my brothers took longer coming back and came upon a moose.

Thanks Mary!

You know, the break might be a good thing. It's been three and a half years since my last trip and I think I'm more excited than ever because it's been so long.

Oh, and I can't wait for the HP park at Universal!!!

Now...if only they would do a Lord of the Rings park...

You have a point. We went last spring, but we only did KSC and Disney. I haven't been to Universal since 2003. I really like their parks too.

A LOFTR park would be wonderful! I'd like to see that myself. I wonder if Disney get rights and might use that as an answer to the HP park? You know they will come up with something to keep up.

Mom - I just noticed you put the Smurf and Babnana in your siggie. :thumbsup2

I did! It was the only way I could post them. For some reason I couldn't get them to take in the thread. I have a cool Blues Brothers thingy too from when i was searching for 80's stuff and I can't get that one to work either way I try. :confused3

That sounds soooo wonderful!! But we have a better chance of seeing Bigfoot then we do a moose!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That's the part I hate too. It's just like laundry, I don't mind doing it. I just hate putting it away.

Happy Friday all! I have date night with DH tonight. We're going to see Iron Man then have dinner after. Tomorrow morning, we leave for WDW. We're just staying the weekend. I get to try the Yachtsman for the first time.

Wow, what a weekend you have in front of you. Okay, I'm admitting it...I'M JEALOUS!!! :goodvibes And I hope every second of it is filled with smiles and laughter!! At the appropriate times of course!!:lmao:

How is your puppy today? Much better I hope!!

today she seems much better thank you. I didn't notice any blood but the other dog is still smelling her so I am sure it is there still just not bright red. She seems her happy self again and still loves me which normally takes 3 days after a vet visit.

MomsOf2Boys:

I know, someone has got to want 3 acres of lake front. I know I would love to have it, but we can't afford to buy out his brother and sister. Sad really.

The 1st thing my daughter asked was why your son is going to college if he has his real estate lincese. :lmao: Your son sounds like a smart kid with a good plan.

Believe me, I understand the stress of kids and dogs. I have 2 large puppies right now that keep me on my toes. Glad to hear your dog is going to be ok. How is she feeling?

By the way, my dog's name is Sadie. I love that name. :lovestruc

My son has always since age like 2 wanted to be a zoologist. My DP's brother is one and worked for the government in bird banning of North America and has travelled all over with his work. He is now retired and spends time with my boys when we are in PA and teaches them things like species documentation of the local creeks and tracking and they have found eagles nests and viewed them with their young. So he wants to persue that but it will be a lot of college. He is a sophmore in HS now. He also loves everything about movie making etc and has at times thought perhaps he would become a teacher and get a 2nd degree as a cinematographer as it takes many many years to break through in that so he could work it during summers. Now, he has 2 years of Spanish and 2 years of French and is completing 2 years of Chinese.... he has a great love of language and catches on very quickly. So now he thinks he might just be an English teacher in China and then come back to the states after a few years completely fluent in Chinese and teach Chinese here.

All great and wonderful ideas. I just wish he could put his clothes away.:rotfl:

So with all that babbling I have done you can probably see why his 17th birthday trip is to the AKL with the Sunrise Safari as his special gift.

Ok.. Well I have read this thread... No others... and I am off again.

Hope you all had a fabulous Friday and get to sleep in tomorrow! :cool1: :cool1:

HA! No such luck for me. Need to be up and out early to grocery shop. When I have to go on Saturday, I get there early for my own sanity. The store I shop at usually has great prices and really narrow aisles...and no matter when I go they are always stocking the shelves [read: pallets blocking half the aisle...:headache: ].

I am making pizza tonight and have one less kid for the night so it should be pretty quiet! The other two are watching "Alvin and the Chipmunks." I haven't really "watched" it but it sounds cute!

Well as you see no sleeping in for me either. My problem is the self timer that insists I get up at alarm time. So I have cared for all my animals and checked my email and am ready to get some afternoon McMansions scheduled for viewing. This does excite me because I never get to look at those really. It makes me realize I really was supposed to be a princess. Not sure how that got mixed up at the hospital.:confused3

Since I am nekkid... and since Determinedone and I are wearing the same avatar, I found this little peeker and thought I would try it on for a while. Does it make me look shy or does it make me look like a lurker?:lmao: :lmao:

Momsof2Boys: Of course I love the name Sadie as well. I named my dog after the Beatles song. I used to sing it to her. Sadly my beloved Sadie died of cancer last June. It doesn't feel like it's been that long ago. She was a shepherd/greyhound mix. The most quiet, easiest dog ever. I miss her so.

Your son has great ideas and WAY MORE ambition than my daughter. He sounds like a very smart enthusiastic kid. We love wildlife. My daughters 1st idea was in the line of Game Warden/Park Ranger. However, she was told that jobs are very difficult to come by. She just left to go take the SAT's. She doesn't test well with standardized tests and she always learned differently from most kids. All you can do is try your best. It doesn't help that she broke up with her boyfriend last week and was up crying last night.

GOOD MORNING !!!

Ya'll were chatty yesterday. Sorry I missed it. I would love to go back and quote each of you but it would take all day. :rotfl: I hope each of you have a wonderful Saturday. Mean Queen is probably going to top us all since she is in Disney this weekend. I get to choose between yard work and cleaning. Oh come on now, I know what ya'll are really thinking, WOW!! How exciting is that!! :lmao: I would imagine that I'll be checking in from time to time. You know a heart can only stand so much excitement at one time. You have to take it in small doses. (Very small)

So Smileybug which did you choose? Yard work or cleaning? ;) I just got home from my son's baseball game. Had to be on the field at 8:30 this morning. I wore long johns and winter socks and was still cold. It was 42 degrees and then started raining on us. I may have a chill for the rest of the day. It's still only 46.

I will be thinking of Mean Queen. She is probably having a great time. One thing for sure, she is a lot warmer than I am right now. Then again, most of you are probably warmer than me. :lmao:

OH MY WORD, SadieDog, isn't this weather NUTS!!??? Aaaaaaaarrrgh! This is one reason I am so done with New England.... We should have had THIS in April, and the warmer weather NOW. Last May was cold and rainy, too, I remember. There is just not enough "summer" around here!!!!

I hope you can warm up. I know what that sort of chill feels like! I'm surprised your son's game wasn't called! How old is he - is it upper-level??

Well I am indoors to stay today, save for picking up DS8 from the b-day party he's at. We have friends coming over tomorrow (supposedly for a cook-out...) and I need to spruce up the house a bit.

That coffee pot will be going all day today....

I just sat down with a cup of hot coffee myself.

Yes, I remember last may being cold and rainy. Maybe improvement is coming soon. I hope so.

My son is 12. He is one of the older players in the youth leauge. The cut off is 12 in May and he turns 13 in June. He is in 7th grade so could be on the middle school team, but since this is only his 2nd year playing, he decided it best to play one more year with the youth. All ages played today with games going on all day. My niece is playing at 2pm, but I don't know if I will make it.

I need to talk myself into going outside and picking up dog poop. Hard to get psyched for that. I hope you have decent weather for your cook-out.

Moms - I like your peeker and think it makes you look like a lurker. :thumbsup2
