Hello all! We're running out to the free movies. I'm finally going to see "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium." I had it from Netflix for a month and never watched it. After that, we plan to start getting ready for our trip. Lots of laundry for DD8 to do and folding for me.

I am up to nothing fun. I brought my male puppy to the vet this morning to be fixed and gastropexy surgery. I have to go to the town I was born and have a new birth certificate issued b/c they no longer will accept my b-cert that was issued from the hospital. Luckily it's only about 13 miles away.

Today my daughter is 17, but she is not here. She spent the night at a friends last night and they are going to a mall shopping today. The mall is 65 miles away. They are excited b/c Hollister opened up and it's the 1st one in Maine.

Better gas mileage is a reason to cheer.

Tell me about it. Last night (with going through town) it was up to 27 mpg. Much better than the 17 I was getting.

Creativeamanda...Your car sounds really nice. And you sure can't beat that gas mileage. We are keeping our SUV for about another year. Then it's good bye to it. I'm gonna miss it though.

Helloooooo everyone else.

I'll miss the Explorer, but I drive a lot with work and even though they reimburse my gas mileage, in the last 2-3 months, the reimbursements did not cover how much I was spending in gas.

I agree with you and Legomom--be nice and things will get better.

It's ok. Grocery shopping done. Call from vet that my puppy made it through gastropexy surgery and is doing well. I can pick him up tomorrow. My daughter is home from shopping and getting ready for a summer field hockey game. Then there is the fact that she is 17 and I am feeling old.

Just got back from taking Pippin to the vet. He needed a shot (Program; flea preventive). It's a 6 minute ride over there (one of the few things we do have close by!!) and the cat pooped, peed and barfed on the way. Nice. Now he's home sprawled out on the kitchen floor, panting and trying to recover mentally!

It's hot here today. Supposed to storm later and be drier tomorrow.

I had a really crummy day at work today.... First time in the 8-1/2 months I've been there! But it was bad. Bad...

Everytime dh takes Charlie to the vet he pees all over him. (I think cocker spaniels are known for their loose bladders). I think it's funny--Charlie never does it to me.

Now dh is singing "summer. . .summer. . .summer. . ." In a minute he'll be in full song.

I'm assuming that's Pip in your siggie, right? I love that picture. Makes me smile every time I see it.

My Isabel will lay quietly in her carrier UNTIL her sister (Dory) starts to cry as if I'm pulling her little hairs out one by one. Sometimes she tries to claw her way out and I have to fight with her while driving (dangerous, I know, I try to have my mom come with me now instead) so she doesn't hurt herself. But once she starts, Isabel starts and it becomes a game of call and answer.

It's hot here today. Supposed to storm later and be drier tomorrow.

It's already looking rather grim here in Beantown. Must be on its way.
