I have a day just for me on Thursday and then we'll probably do a family cookout and the fireworks on Friday. BF has to work on Saturday so I'll likely spend the day cleaning. We're both off on Sunday and Monday too so we'll probably just hang out relax.

I'm looking forward to doing a whole lot of nothing.

Wow, you do have a nice break coming up. Hubby and I don't really have any plans this year. The kids are all going to parties. I hope you enjoy your down time. :goodvibes

I'm so looking forward to it. Today has been a challenging day. Today is, apparently, "Lawyers You Don't Even Work for Like to Call You Up and Yell at You for Something Which You Aren't Even Remotely Responsible for or Involved In" day.

But I didn't get the memo that that was scheduled for today.

Or I would have most certainly called out.

Well, tomorrow is "Call all Lawyers you don't even work for and yell at them for things in which you AREN'T even remotely responsible for or involved in day" And I'll have that memo right out!! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

A gutsy Monday move!! ;)

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No reason for all the exclamation points, I'm just feeling odd... :rotfl:

Are you odd good or odd bad?

Why, are you.....afraid?!???

:rotfl2:

Nah, it's all good! I was feeling a bit snarky earlier (due to yet another incident with the neighborhood imbicile....the 20-yr. old gal from around the corner who thinks she's the coolest thing on earth to drive her big Jeep around and yell at kids who are playing outside....Then I decided she's definitely not worth my while nor an increase in blood pressure. She's a messed up kid from a really messed up family.)

But I'm fine now, honest!

Nope not afraid. Just wondering how you are. What does this 20 yr old that thinks she is just the coolest yell at the kids? Because it sounds like you are the cool one for just keeping your temper. By the way I love the voodoo doll smiley. :thumbsup2

She's always telling kids to get out of the road. They may be riding their bikes or walking or just playing down by the stream. But if they're out and she drives by, she yells at them. Not just my kids, any kids. Really tough, to be yelling at little kids.... Of course she's afraid of me and DH! I told the kids that the next time she did that, to give her a big, sunny smile and yell "HI!!!" and wave....that should throw her for a loop and really tick her off! :rotfl: She WANTS to irritate people, that's her nature (as I said, she and her family are some messed up, so she's one of these people that has to try to drag the rest of the world down with her). So I figure if we start acting like she's our new best friend, she'll eventually shut up and start avoiding us!!

Hey Creativeamanda how do you plan to spend your week? What kind of car are you test driving?

This weekend I get to babysit. I was test driving a Ford Fusion, but came home with the Focus. I just could not drive the Explorer anymore and I wanted a car that got at least 30mpg--the Fusion did not, but the Focus can get up to 40mpg. Of course, since I wasn't getting the Fusion, I got the Focus with the moonroof, satellite radio, SYNC, ambient lighting, etc. But I have a lower payment than my Explorer and a good deal better gas mileage. (As you can probably tell, I signed the contract. After my cousin--a mechanic--looked at me Explorer and told me, "Yeah, you only have 5 payments, but expleact to put about $5000-$7000 into it this year", I decided it was time for a change). My kids liked the Fusion better, but I could not justify the same payment on a car that costed less than the Explorer when I bought it on similar gas mileage. I like the Focus--it reminds me of my first ever car, which I reluctantly traded in for a minivan.

Best thing to do is kill her with kindness. I did that to one of the assistant principals at work last year. Just was so nice to her all the time, regardless of the fact that she was just a hateful waste of space. Eventually, she just left me alone. Now she and I get along. But she is a sad person and finds it difficult to relate to people with families. (She's single, always has been, in her 40s)

Well, it's awfully quiet around here tonight....think I'll call it a day.

Goodnight!

Don't you look all cozy in your little bed dreaming of tropical places. The storms are rolling in late here, so I'm having trouble getting my little one to sleep. I had to hand off to DH because I had enough. I won't sit with her until she falls asleep any more, he will.

GOOD MORNING YA'LL

HAPPY JULY 1st!!

Someone please tell me where June went.:confused3

LegoMom...I agree. Kill her with kindness. Playing her games will only make things worse. :thumbsup2

Creativeamanda...Your car sounds really nice. And you sure can't beat that gas mileage. We are keeping our SUV for about another year. Then it's good bye to it. I'm gonna miss it though.

SadieDog...What are you up to today?

Helloooooo everyone else.
