Hello everyone.....

crappy day at work...
DD still feeling crappy.....
decorated the crappy tree tonight...took hours...
5 years ago yesterday I "lost" my mom, she didn't die but has not been the same since and I miss the way she was before.....
heard today that yesterday my dad slipped on the ice in his driveway and apparently "refused" to go to the ER and is using BenGay for the ache in his 80 year old back and tailbone..my sister who just got back from WDW is headed down in the morning to check him out...
did I mention I was in a crappy mood?????

AAACKK!! Brandie...I forgot about Christmas cards...barely finished the tree tonight....oh sheesh, I shouldn't be DISing either!!

Hi Cookie...ya know..I think DD was itchy eyed from the basement rec room woodstove - fired up rounf the clock since Thursday night...and she was down here 16 hours a day since then -during the storm...it was very dry and I think the wood smoke/dust got to her eyes...but I think the fatigue is a virus like last year...hopefully not mono but she's in bed at 8 again tonigth so it doesn't look good.

I'm off to bed...or I'll be sick myself...too much to do...too little time.....

wishing us ALL pixie dust, sleep and good health!!!

I guess I am just over tired......my sister will be having surgury probably next week......they are going to take her whole lung......scares me to death......how come when it rains....it pours.....actually after this weekends snowstorm.....I should of said when it snows it blizzards.......
I hope that the father is okey after that bad fall......usually they are much more in pain the next few days......
I can hardly wait for those hot rice chili bits of a cracker

Yikes Ann! After a lot of useless guessing in the spring the doctor finally ordered a mono test for me - and it was positive! Now 7 months later my spleen is still swollen and I have to go see a specialist. Hope DD gets better soon.

Lots of happy PD for everyone - for easy house closing and moving, club level upgrades, snow, no snow and everything!

Finished my competency testing at work today (yes, I am competent--tho, mind you, this was not mental competency testing).

Tomorrow after work I have to take 2 finals at school. Guess what I'm doing tonight??

Cold and rainy here, today. Can't wait to get to some warmer temps in Orlando!

OK, now don't anyone be offended by this, maybe it's the mood I'm in (because I consider domestic violence a very serious matter and NOT the least bit funny) ... but I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants....you have to know my dad (6 feet, 200+ lbs, booming voice)...and mom(5'5" 125, proper and ladylike)....he's SO hard of hearing every conversation is like the "who's on first" routine. So, my sister takes him to the ER today to get checked out. In Mass the ER must inquire as to possible domestic violence as a cause of injury. Here's an excerpt from my sister's e-mail (BTW--no broken bones, soft tissue damage only and a nasty unrelated rash from some meds for his other conditions) :


Triage nurse: Any instances of domestic violence?
Dad: Huh?
Nurse: Was your fall a result of domestic violence?
Dad: Well, it was a bad fall, but I don’t think it was violent, no.
Nurse: No,no, have you been a victim of any domestic violence?
Dad: Huh?
Me (loudly): She wants to know if there was domestic violence!
Dad: No, I’m not violent.
Nurse (laughing): Not you. . .I’m required to ask if anyone has been violent toward you, or caused your injury.
Dad: Oh, Jeez, no, no. . .though my wife was always pretty strong; in fact, she’s probably stronger than I am; well, not anymore, she’s in a nursing home now, so I don’t have to worry about that. . ...

7 monthshs!!!ahutton, are you still feeling sick in addition tothe swollen spleen? uuggh. I know DD had an "unspecified" viral illness last year (the mono screen was negative) - this seems so similar in that she is so fatigued - but not much else for symptoms!! sigh. Let us know how you make out with your specilaist, OK??

Can I tell you, when I first read your original post about orientation, I thought you said "appliances and FURNITURE"...I was saying "what on earth would they have to learn about their sofa?"

Can I just say...I am in happy Barry mode - just saw the A&E special on Friday...and tonight he's a special guest on Will & Grace! And the whole show is based around Will being a "Fanilow" - can't WAIT to see this one!

I had tears running down my cheeks......My neighbor next door calls me a few moments ago and we chat ....I take care of her son.....and she calls me every day.....well yesterday he was a little pissant......and she took him to his nursery school for a few hours today.....he looks at the board and says.....are we having tumble bus today and his mom said yes......then he tells his mom ...last week didn't have the tumble bus cause mr. mikes family member died......and then sonia says to him....are you going to tell Mr. Mike you are sorry.......he says.....heck no.....It wasn't My fault.......
two good laughs for my morning.......I needed it.....bp check again tonight at four thirty.......hope it is down with these meds......of course my mom has called twice this morning and has not said one nice thing today......all complaints about someone or something......oy oy oy.....the joys of being 89.......remind me huh guys not to be a constant complainer when I get that old.......thanks my friends.......we will all be in the same boat though

did you know that having a new puppy was as bad as having a new baby....YIKES!!! I mean i knew it was work ...but not this much....don't get me wrong.....he is pretty good....tiny little thing......I took him out to pee yesterday and he fell head first into a foot print in the snow
YIKES I had to run and save him like a drowning child in a swimming pool
it was so cute though...only his back little legs sticking out of the snow

he's only suppose to get to be about 13 inches tall at most...I only wanted a small dog......cuz my sister says she'll dog sit any time i want to go away like to WDW or sumpin.....as long as its a small dog......and course...small dogs have small poops....easier to pick up after ......any way last night I HAD A NIGHTMARE

I dreamed my puppy was all grown up and he looked like and WAS an OSTRICH no kidding....he was huge and running everywhere thru everything flapping its wings....(YES...I really dreamt it.....who would think up such a thing!!!) he was as big as and as bad as an ostrich.......I was really upset....cuz I didn't want him anymore .... I couldn't bring him back cuz he was attached to us....then I cried cuz I knew this meant no more vacations for me...MY SISTER WILL NEVER DOG SIT FOR MY OSTRICH then I woke up and I was so relieved to see my little puppy little again.

I wish I could post pictures....he looks like a little Beethoven...you know from the movie......YIKES you don't suppose he could be a ST. Bernard and then didn't tell me
