that's wonderful news about UNH Ann!! as well as being recruited from the other school...
i'm so sorry for your loss teri...{{{{{hugs}}}}}
and i thought i had weird dreams debbie!!!!
we went to DH's christmas party the other night. we started out at champp's for appetizers and drinks. met a lot of people i will never remember...lol...lots of extremely FAKE people too. they don't like my husband, make it public knowledge, but still paste the fake smiles and stupid fake laughs and socialize as if they are the best of friends.

so after champp's, we were to go over to a local comedy club called funnybone. we get over there...we are a group of 80. well, despite numerous confirmation calls, they STILL goofed up the reservations!! they had us down for the 10:00pm show instead of the 8pm show.

so, the club offers to send us over to nearby eddie merlot's and they were going to rotate the comedians to do their show for us at eddie's. cool, right? well, we head across the parking lot...squish into their "lounge" and wait. well, in comes this little older guy..we're all looking at each other wondering who on earth this guy is...then he speaks. unmistakeable. it was bobcat golthwaite! (i don't know how to spell his name!) he walks the room...talks to a few people...shakes a few hands...and leaves.

DH and i had decided at that point to just leave. so i don't know what happened after that...i did get to meet a few people that are pretty influencial to DH's career though...they adore him! i'm so excited for him...he's expecting yet another promotion at about the 1st of the year...that will make 4 promotions in a year and a half...
so then my christmas party was on saturday. so we pack up our stuff and make the boring drive to mishawaka. we arrive 3 hours later to this bed and breakfast in the middle of NOWHERE. lol...it was a lovely inn though! after the rest of our group arrives, we head out to the bosses house. this man amazes me...he cooked appetizers and dinner and made desserts for our whole company. in his house. there were probably about 50 people there at least! the food was wonderful, as usual...we had inpromptu games of Craps...i still have no clue what i'm doing on that one...and then we headed back to the inn at about midnight or so. got up the next morning and had breakfast...well, muffins and stuff...talked to my co-workers for a bit...then began the trek home. we stopped at a little mom and pop type restaurant for "real" breakfast...made it home about 3 hours later.
then...the packing began. we aren't completely packed up yet but we're getting there! we close on our house today!!! we'll be homeowners in just a few short hours!!! woo hoo!!!!!!! (i'd post a bunch of smilies but i'd hit my limit!) my brother's on his way down to help out as best he can (he broke his hand) but at least it gets him out of ft wayne for a day or two...
this commercial cracks me up...it's for visa...the two guys asking each other if they've done stuff like hang gliding, etc. they say how dangerous it is...then the camera pans out and they're hanging from the side of a mountain...it just makes me laugh everytime...
ok...i'd better get moving here. literally!! lol
they're supposed to be installing our DSL tomorrow morning...cross your fingers...
hope you're having fun in the house of mouse poohsie!!! give mickey a few extra hugs for me!!!
have a good day!!
