THAT IS NOT FUNNY!! It's 20-something degrees here and snowing like crazy (with about 18" already on the ground! That's why I'm planning a BEACH vacation for February!! (DD does not want to go to WDW )

hubby is thinking of getting the snow blower going.......it is still snowing like a banshee here........I hate snow......but you already knew that.........daughter made it to Philly.....she landed at ten twenty this morning......but her flights to Maine are cancelled......the one for two is cancelled adn the one for four is cancelled and the one for nine pm tonight is still showing .......so we shall see.......I hate to think of her stuck in Philly airport.........I haven't heard from her husband yet so I assume he still is out snowblowing

OH WOW......almost forgot ......you are wayyyyy to lucky Cookie....to see Barry in person and touch his hand and hear him sing.......holy smokes.....lucky

Hello to everyone!!

Now, I have been meaning to tell you about... Our last trip to WDW!!!! Disaster is a good name!!!

I rushed out of work to make it to see Savannah singing at the Salvation Army Kettle Kickoff at the Mall. I was very excited as I knew as soon as that was over we were heading to WDW!!! Walking across the parking lot, I stepped on a small rock and next thing I knew people were standing over me..."Don't get up, they are getting a wheelchair" I had fallen and my shoes had even come off!!! That must have been quite the sight!! Well, as I came to my senses..I said that I was fine, just sore and NO I did not have time to fill out an accident report or go to the ER!!! Turns out I was bruised and very sore, but not terribly hurt. Security did not appreciate that and by the time I got back to the Hospital on Monday..It was quite the news that I had fallen and not completed an accident report or been checked out...However, I went to the hospital to complete the payroll and then back home to take DD to the pediatrician (but that part comes a little later in the story) EEK!!

Well, I made it to mall. And Savannah sees me and says that she is not sure how she feels....She lip syncs through the performance and I get her some water and she says that she is just a bit tired....So, we make the decision to on to Orlando....BIG MISTAKE!!!! Port Orleans Riverside is pleasant...A nice place actually...but Savannah became more ill and by Saturday morning had a 103 fever...So this is how I spent my Saturday...

Can you believe it? Now the bad thing about a MODERATE is with a sick child ...there is NO ROOM SERVICE!!! hehehe The resort itself is a beautiful property...And the Christmas decorations were up and a beautiful site to see.

By Sunday, George had the flu and Savannah was becoming dehydrated...I drove home and missed the week of Thanksgiving from work to stay home with DD. So that was my relaxing weekend to the World!!!

DD is better now and George is finally coming around...Here is a pic of DD just before performance on Friday night. Thanks for listening to my story...I had been waiting to download the picture before I told you guys about the weekend...hehehe

Aw Teri, sorry about your weekend. ....Better luck next time at the World!! Hope you are OK after your fall! and hope that George and Savannah feel better after the flu.... and immunizing PD to you that you don't get sick! LOve the pictures...BOTH of them hehehehe (sorry Savannah!)
DD felt crummy just prior to T-giving...and again during this past week....actually this snowbound weekend she has been listless (I was thinking boredom) but also seems to have itchy red eyes (but not "crusty") so I wonder if she's getting or got something. Gail and I were mentioning recently how kids (and some grown-ups )always get sick for holidays

I wrapped a lot of gifts today...researched beach vacations for February....made venison stew...watched the Patriots win...proofread more of DD's college application stuff....the final three are about ready to go out...then my worst piece of this begins - the financial paperwork!

Hi, all!

No snow here, but, it is rather chilly. Actually, like Teri, I wouldn't mind some falling. We get small (i.e.--dustings) a few times, but, a really big snow like you guys got hit with--about once every ten or fifteen years. That wouldn't be bad, except that I LIKE SNOW!(Maybe that's cause I don't have to deal with it very often!).

Glad everything worked out well with your fall. Sounds like the only injury was to your dignity.
So sorry about your week-end get-away. Poor Savannah does look miserable.
Hopefully the next will be much better.

Finished my last A&P lab yesterday (we dissected kidneys, yesterday--they were boring.). Now, all that's left of that class is the final, which I was going to take Saturday morning before we leave for WDW, but, my math instructor will have her finals ready for us to take by Thursday, so, I'm hoping I can work it out to take both of them Thursday or Friday afternoon, and then we will leave for WDW Friday evening. Yahoo!!!

To all of my northern friends--take care out in the white stuff, make a snow angle for me and stay warm!

I was wondering if you were already gone this weekend...I can't keep track of dates. Hope all the exams and stuff go well this week. Try to pop in before you leave!! And try to get enough rest so as not to get sick before/when you go!!!!

Speaking of scarce, hope Debbie is resting up and recovering this weekend!!

our official closing date is december 15th! and we're moving in on that tuesday...

Me too, I will actually be arriving on the 13th and leaving Monday. I decided to stay 2 nights. On Sat I am going to try to go to Epcot first thing in the am, got to AK for a couple of hours ( I want to see the Jamming jungle parade - never saw it before and then end the night with MGM. (not sure if I will hold to all of that but that is my plan so far. Sunday is MK day. Where will you be those 2 days? Maybe we can plan to meet for lunch on Saturday? Just a thought. OK...I KNOW I posted on here an hour ago

DD is sick again....I got her in to see the dcotor (she went by herself after school) because she complained about her itchy eyes and "feeling yucky" all weekend. So she comes home with instructions to start up her Zyrtec again (allergy stuff she only used to take late spring to early summer) and a prescription for eyedrops and a referral slip to go back on Friday if she's not feeling better , to their lab and get blood work for....a MONO screening

Last year this time I thought she had it...they said no it was some other viral illness not mono...but the nurse practiioner said her throat was a "little" red and her glands were a "little" swollen and her kidney/spleen area seemed a "little" tender"......
and she's been in bed at 8 PM for the second night in a row...that is NOT a typo...8 pm. this does not look good.
Sigh.

Mike has been quite sick with a horrible cold...Justin too for that matter but its just that Mike never usually gets sick. Jerry never gets sick either. Mike, Justin and I have been hacking and sneezing for weeks now......its like a sick house and Jerry....nothing

Oh I did get my tree last weekend...Satuday morning....before the BIG snow. I didn't have any boots....so Jerry tells me to wear his old ones. So off we went and boy was it cold up there on that tree farm.....its huge and all on a hill...and the ground was covered with snow and the wind was blowing. We chose to walk DOWN hill and search but of course if you walk DOWN eventually you have to go back UPHILL I kept falling in the snow and sliding....when I tried to get up...I'd fall again. I complained to Jerry these boots have NO traction....He says...
"YEA, thats why I got new ones"
thank you very much....he had to push me up the hill

needless to say.....I went back to being sicker instead of better.

i am so tired this morning. we went home and did NOTHING last night. how pathetic is that? we have so much left to do this week. he claims that come sunday, we can just throw everything into boxes and we'll be ready to go. i hope he's right!

i have a list a mile long to do here at work! ugh. since i'm taking all of next week off, i had to make arrangements to have a temp come in to cover the phones. i don't mind having the temp come in, but it actually creates MORE work for me. lol. i have to leave instructions on where to find things and what to set out for breakfast and how to bake the cookies...and sales has informed me that they want christmas cards mailed to clients! ack!! 2 giant boxes full of cards were delivered...i have to address each envelope and stuff the cards in...this is not going to be fun. AND i have to input our course schedule on the microsoft website...

WHAT AM I DOING DISING?!

yeah...what she said...you know...he's going to be here in indianapolis this friday. here. in the same city as me. the city that i live in. performing right downtown. and i can't go. that's the night of DH's christmas party for work.

ARRRGGGGHHHHH! I am about to pull my hair out here...
I am trying (without success, I might add) to add Club privileges to my room using my Starwood points. (Hey--I'm cheap and broke and trying to save a little money on breakfast to use on other things--what can I say??).

I have been shuttled back and forth between the hotel and SPG 6 times already, only to be told that no one can do this for me because everybody says the other party has to do it.

The hotel insists that this should be no problem, but, has to be done by Starwood, because the reservations desk cannot access my SPG account to verify the points are there.

SPG says they don't have a Club Level upgrade,so, Club access would have to added by the hotel.

It seems as if the only option is to wait until check-in and try again, but, since we are taking snacks and drinks with us, I really wanted to be prepared in advance to have what I needed with me. I really don't want to take breakfast stuff with us and not have to use it, but, at the same time, I don't want to have to run to the store after we get there, if I can't get Club added at check-in.

So, have any of you done this, and, if so, how??? Well, I know Gail did add Club once,using points. Maybe she can give me some insight....

So frustrating. Guess it's cereal in the room.....

Sue, I did use Starwood points once to get Club Level priviliges...back when it was only 750 points a night. Now, I think it's gone up quite a bit since then - somehow I remember 3500 points per night, and thinking that was way too much, so I didn't do it. Then of course, there was one stay where reception actually upgraded me without using points, since I wasn't actually moving to the Club Floor, but just using the Club Room. I have a feeling those days are over...that's not a standard upgrade anymore even if you're a Gold Card member.

I think you have to wait until you get there - then the reception desk will call Starwood to verify that you have those points, and you'll sign something saying that you're using the points.

Last time or two, we just bought granola bars, or cereal or poptarts and went on our merry way. It was too much trouble for fruit and water...ah well.

Brandie - you're having your closing on my mother's birthday. Tell that hubby of yours to get to packing, or he'll be sorry when it comes time to move the stuff, and it just gets tossed every which way. Trust me...

Deb, I'd have killed Jerry (or at least made him switch boots right then and there - lol).

Teri - sorry that you took a nasty fall and that Savannah got so sick during your trip to WDW. Hope you make it back again soon.

Ann - your DD sounds like me - I am ALWAYS sniffling and sneezing, year round. I'm sick of always taking meds for it, so I end up suffering because I'm hard-headed enough to wait until I'm good and sick with a sinus infection.
