I'm with you, DaisyDebbie. I'm really disappointed in their total lack of organization. Didja see the previews? Their lack of shelter is going to seriously be a problem. I was glad they got LUCKY and won that challenge. The boys needed to be knocked down a couple of pegs.

I really enjoyed tonight! I think that one of the women needs to step forward and take charge. They're way too disorganized right now.

And I'm so glad that the men got knocked down a peg. All of that mouthing off from a few of them, give me a break!

I laughed out loud so many times with this episode. It looks very promising. I really thought the men would win most challenges but I am so glad the ladies prevailed! The men really did need to be chopped down a peg or two...or three or four..

Didn't you think it was kind of funny in the beginning that both the girl (Jenna) and the guy (Ryan) whining about being on same-sex teams are both models??? And especially what Jenna said - She is not going to be able to use her wiley ways and manipulate the women like she can men. How funny (and true) was that!?!

Well, I definitely laughed during this episode tonight! I agree about the women, they really need to get organized and they better start building that shelter quick! They are all soaked next week!!

Great episode and I hope they continue this way! Looks like a promising start this season!

Had to record it tonight, but I did get it set up to record and just finished watching. IMHO, it's off to the best start of any of those I've watched -- Austrailia was my favorite, but I didn't get into it until about 6 or 7 episodes, so I can't say how this compares. But it's the first season since Australia that right away I've got several that I care for and none that I absolutely hate from the beginning. It's worth trying a few more weeks.

Some great laughs, lots of moments (especially with the guys. But, girls, c'mon -- clean BUFFS are more important than shelter??? ) Excellent challenge, and I'm really interested to see how the Deaf girl does (it typically takes me 3-4 eps to catch names -- was hers Christy?). I felt so sorry for her and would hope that if I were in a tribe with her, I'd make more of an effort to spend time with her and make sure she was included.

And I'm really impressed with the shelter the guys put together. Very nice job -- now if only the girls would get going and get more done on theirs...

I also loved how the girls were the first to *honestly* catch fish -- so what if it was the size of a goldfish, it *was* a fish!

Hopefully I can get the VCR to work next week, too.

I have to agreee that this was the best start to Survivor that I can remember. (I also liked Australia best Rajah.) I couldn't tell if the girls find something next week or if something goes missing. I cannot comprehend that three days in the Amazon and they still don't have shelter!! It's apparent that several want to get something going but can't seem to motivate the rest. My guess is that no one wants to be the leader in fear of getting voted off first. Speaking of getting voted off first--why Ryan? I could see Roger because he was so bossy and my personal reason was because he was the first to cut on the all woman tribe. Another person that should have been thrown off was Daniel. He was the one that kept falling off the log more than Ryan plus he was caught numerous times not doing a thing! Did I miss something there? Lastly I have to say that I felt really bad for the deaf girl and how everyone just walked away to start chores. Some of the comments they made to the camera just shocked me!

Let's just hope that they guys keep their brains in their pants so the girls can win a few more challenges!

I felt bad for Christy too- somebody better step up to the plate and start including her in conversation.

On the mens team I like the Rocket Scientist. It really bothered him that the others lied about catching fish- bad karma- probably why DAN kept falling off the beam.

BTW- My husband thinks Jenna is way too bony to model anything! Gotta love that man! "OMG! Gross! And they say TV adds 10 pounds!"

That was a great start of a new Survivor!!! I think it's going to be quite interesting with same-sex teams........won't be as pretentious!!!
