I'll give this season a try even though I don't feel real optimistic. I totally lost interest in Season 3 and it seemed like everyone I liked kept being voted off last year. But the men against the women thing may be real interesting.
I'm looking forward to the Amazing Race more now though.
I'll be there!! I can't wait for the new season to start!! I'm definitely hooked on this show--and I've finally gotten DH hooked too--so it's a show we watch together.
Not too thrilled with last years, even skipped a few shows, hopefully this will be the last of them. I am HOOKED on Amazing Race though, that is the BOMB!!
My whole family watches but it's me and my DS9 that are the most hooked. The battle of the sexes should be interesting - it does have high potential to have issues tho. It will be intersting to see if the women work together or end up gossiping about each other instead. 1 more day!!
Can't wait! But I guess I'll have to as I have a church meeting tomorrow night. Hope we'll move it along quickly. I'll tape it, but would rather watch it "live"
Jeff Probst was on The View Monday to talk about the show. He said it was really interesting to see how the dynamics of the teams was so different this time. He said the men were all gung-ho about building a shelter right away, and the women sat around and braided each other's hair. He said the women definitely tried to get to know each other first, whereas the men were all work. He also said the challenges are pretty much divided up between physical and mental with a few puzzles thrown in. He felt is was all very fair, and that we will be surprised to see how it all turns out. ALso, the woman who is deaf didn't want the men to know that she couldn't hear, so the men never had any idea until the merge. Jeff said he made sure to look right at her and enunciate very well when he was giving instructions for the challenges.
He also said that the women's team had no problems bathing in the nude since there was no men around. Apparantly they have quite a bit of footage of that which he had to personally inspect

To play the game, click on the Fantasy League banner at the bottom of the page. For those who aren't familiar with it, they started this game last season. You pick a team of four Survivors and can swap them in and out during the week. You are awarded points for various things they accomplish or do each week....the details are on the site. You lose points if any of your players get voted out. As the season progresses, it becomes less a game of pure luck as you try to figure out who to pick and who to dump.
When you sign up, you create a user/team name. You can also create tribes and join in with other players. There's a leaderboard on the site which tracks top teams and tribes.
