SURVIVOR fans! The game is on! What do you think?(Remember our west coast friends)

Thought it was really interesting but boiling water to wash your buffs -- please......

Thought it was really funny watching the men fall off the log when none of the women had any problems at all. Next week should be interesting to see what the men do and all their talk about the women is just plain funny.

I hope they are nicer to Christy too. I was shocked at the insensitivity of some of the girls to her problem when it was probably hard for her to admit it. It didn't seem like anyone made any effort at all. My secretary wears hearing aids, she lost most of her hearing from a virus, and she's fine as long as you speak directly to her and don't mumble. It's not a problem as long as you are aware of it.

Waiting for next week to see the women get soaked. Can't believe they haven't finished a shelter yet -- haven't they watched any of the earlier shows.

Luckymommyx2 -- I agree with you. I'm not sure why Ryan was voted off first when Dan was the one falling off the log and actually had to be pulled off by Ryan it to make it across without falling off. Dan did not appear to do any more work than Ryan did. Of course I may be partial because he is from the county I live in. :D

I am amazed that the girls don't have shelter especially after the spider slept with them that first night.

For a twist to the game I think it would be neat if during one of the awards challenges the winners gets to choose whether to return to their own camp or go to the other camp.

Chess...I live in Cecil county so Ryan was probably closest to my area. Dave is still representing us Marylanders so I hope he makes it for awhile. I used to live in the Pittsburgh, Pa area and was excited when I heard the swimsuit model was from the same area. After watching last night I'm not so excited anymore!

Another viewer who would have voted Dan off. Didn't get the Ryan thing.

Also very disappointed at how the women treated Christy. She's deaf, she's not incapacitated! I had heard Jeff Probst say "the men do not even find out she's deaf until the merge" - do you think that means she makes it to the merge or that they were just informed after the fact? I'm hoping she makes it.

I found Jenna annoying; first with the complaint about not being able to use her wiles and manipulate the men and second, with her comment on having Heidi show her breasts to distract the men. I wanted to yell at her, how about winning by using your brain? Of course, my DH noted that she probably didn't have a large one of those!

I think Ryan got voted off first instead of Daniel because he had a bigger mouth. Daniel really didn't say much at all. Roger is used to giving orders because he's a construction foreman.

I'll bet the show has to send someone over to help the women build a shelter

I don't think the women were being insensitive to Christy. I think they probably just forgot, they did have some other issues to worry about. And she should have thought about how she would read lips at night with no light before she joined the show

Mermaid02, my husband said the same thing about bony Jenna! He said that everyone loses so much weight when they are there anyway, he can't imagine her losing any more. She'd blow away!

On the Early Show today, they said the guys actually had a 20 minute lead in the immunity challenge. The girls must have had a lot of trouble with the decoding-I think they kept turning the dial when they weren't supposed to. But 20 minutes, that's a lot of time. I don't know why they thought crawling across would be easier than walking.

Hi Guys - I set up a DIS tribe over on the CBS site. Eight teams per tribe. We can get several tribes going if there is enough interest.

If you wanna join, the name is The-DIS-Tribe and the password is WeLoveWDW. Tribe name and password are case sensitive.

Scoring doesn't start until after next week's show. I think when I have more time I am going to change some of my teammates around since I've seen them in action. Come join!!

whether or not you'd WANT to be on Survivor, if you were in that circumstance, wouldn't you KNOW that kerosene was flammable and could be used to start a fire? Ah duh?!? To me camping is a hotel without a pool, and even *I* could have figured that one out. Puhlease!

First, if they would just make a leader or if someone would assume that role without worrying about being voted off, I am sure they can get a shelter built. The rain is now going to give them the motivation. Don't we all need that sometimes.

Second, maybe Christy didn't realize what a big deal it would be for her. I think it's great that she is out there, WILLING to try and being an EXAMPLE to others. Differences such as these can be overcome, I think it's just overwhelming at the beginning. The others could be more understanding.

the guys had a 20 minute lead and blew it?!  i still think daniel should have been voted off instead of ryan. he may have had a big mouth but at least he was working. i wonder if he still would have been voted off if he was paired with a different person?
i agree with jeff when he said the guys need to get it together. they may have shelter but they are spit and don't agree on much.
i feel bad for christy with her not being able to hear. if i was her my luxery item would have been a flashlight with plenty of batteries. at night then she could ask the person speaking to hold the light so she could read their lips.
i am ashamed to say jenna is from my hometown. she is so annoying. i can't believe they put boiling buffs and underwear ahead of shelter. hopefully the women will get more organized.

Smileybrat, you'll have to keep us posted if your local news gives you any good gossip on Jenna - I'm sure there must be some.

hey tulirose, are you sure this login info is right? i tried to enter and join but it said "the login entered was not found." did i do something wrong?

I think the gal who was so sick will step up to the plate and help Christy fit in more. Even before Christy told them she was deaf, she had figured out she needed to face her when she talks - you could see her doing it in the canoe. I think everyone was so shocked and worried about how her deafness would effect them, that they forgot about her feelings. I think it adds an interesting element, but should help with their team spirit in the long run if they have to work at communicating a bit.

It seems like the women are having trouble getting enough trees chopped. I think that is their main issue with the sheltor - purely a strength issue.

So far my favorites are Heidi and Dave. But there are a couple more, I just don't remember their names.

I find this hard to believe. Are you SURE "they" weren't teasing when this was said. Who are "they" anyway... Ryan or The Early Show people (who are morons, IMHO).

No, we saw Jeff say "Go" and we saw both teams start at the same time. How could there have possibly been a 20 minute lead????

No, something is definitely not right with that statement you heard and I don't believe it.

Oh, and my DH and I were laughing at the older lady when she was ready to throw in the towel after 1 day. WHAT??? I know I am not there to experience what is going on, but come on, 1 day? And I was thinking to myself the ladies were going to be in big trouble by staying up all night and chatting. Yes, it is good to bond, but they will need their strength and try to be as well rested as possible.

SSB was LOL about the "Buff Boiling"... oy!!! :)

Boy oh boy (no pun intended), Jeff surely did egg the guys a ton... think that he was probably given the charge to try to badger them as much as possible, to cause more tension and stress during challenges, etc.

Thanks for info, Tulirose!

Good point about the "merge" comment... that might have been an inadvertant clue, that she does survive until then. You know that there will have to be some real thought given to looking like jerks if they DO vote her off.... surely shall come into play, even if just a bit.

Unless maybe it took 20 min for the girls to figure out the puzzle and the guys spent 20 min trying to get over that balance beam??

Now THIS, I believe. This makes sense.
