It felt good to be there. How crazy it is too miss a place so much.

It was a long walk, there was enough to entertain you along the way.

I debated this morning about doing an update while so many are dealing with incredible sadness with the loss of 20 children and 6 school staff in Connecticut. I am on staff at an elementary school and it just makes my head spin thinking about it. As a parent I can understand the fear many felt when they heard the news. I can only pray for the families, for comfort and for strength to be able to go through this and for the rest of their lives.

I am going to do an update, but will be Kadence's first post. She was excited about this last night, and while hugging her extra tight we put it together.


Kadence has her own version of this trip and I let her tell me what to type. I will post it exactly as she says it. She took her own pictures with her iPod touch.


Mom and Dad surprised me with a trip to Disney! They came to school to pick me up but I thought it was an eye glass appointment. I saw my Dad’s Disney shirt right away, I thought they were tricking me, and then I saw my suitcase in my Mom’s truck. I was so happy, because I thought we couldn’t go to Disney until next year.
I said Holy …. a lot. My Mom yelled at me to stop but I couldn’t. I was so happy to stay at Art of Animation, and then she told me I could meet Claire that I see on the computer because my Mom knows her Mom and reads about when they go to Disney.
It’s a long way to go to the airport and I had my iPod my grandma gave me so I could listen to music and watch a movie and play on it. When we got to Milwaukee I took pictures of the Brewers baseball field and some buildings we passed.

I took pictures of the airport too.

My Mom met a lady at the airport and they talked about Disney the whole time, so me and Dad went to get something to eat. I wanted to sit by the window on the plane but Mom and dad made me sit between them so they had room. Dad said I could take some pictures of us up in the sky.

We got the ride the buses to Disney and the movie didn’t work so I don’t know what it is about. I took pictures when I saw Disney signs.

The bus stopped at POP. I liked staying there before. Then I saw the Art of Animation sign and was happy.

My Mom said I could take pictures while they checked in.

We got the wrong room and it took a long time to get our room. Mom said I was cranky, but I wasn’t. My suitcase was broken and I had to tell my Grandma because she bought it for me.

I don't teach, I am the Production Manager for the School District. She's enjoying doing them.

Carey, UGH, the school shooting is just sickening. As a teacher I can't imagine having to huddle kids in a corner/evacuate them like that. So scary.
