Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

Love the lists! What a fun idea!! It's really fun seeing the similarities and differences between the two.

I think my favorite live action movie is The Parent Trap. It holds a lot of fun family memories... I've never seen Swiss Family Robinson, I think I better add it to my Netflix queue!

Also, did you hear another National Treasure is in the works? (read that in the DVC mag)

Your ADR changes look like good moves! Remy sounds so fun! I darted to my DVC magazine after reading on that thread that it appeared in there...finally found it...it's listed under DL Paris info...BUT, it says:

"Guests' enthusiastic response has generated interest from other Disney destinations worldwide, so you never know where or when you may enjoy the surprisingly welcome sight of a rat in a restaurant."

This is a "play test"-an experiment to see how it works out. How cool!!!! Chefs de France looks so yummy too. Bonus! :thumbsup2 (Did you see a pic of it? I'll take a digital pic of the DVC pic if you need it!)

I was also thinking you could do some historic pics (Jen coudl too maybe?) of trips past...ala CP and her PTR....to help make the days go by faster!! :goodvibes

Jen and LL, how funny that your list of favorites is so similar!!!

I can't wait to hear about your Chefs meal with Remmy! That sounds really cute! Although I am sad that you are giving up your GF tea :(.

We aren't giving up the tea, we are just saving it for another time and place when I know LL and I will be together again at the most magical place on the planet!!!

I swear on everything holy that I had no idea what would be on her list...she just sends me questions to answer...I can't imagine what she thought when she saw it. LL has her lists done before I answer mine and then to get my answers...its kind of freaky how much we think a like LOL!!

You have redeemed yourself for your earlier tease.
Thank You! :snooty:

Great update! :yay: I think the ADR changes you made are great. You know how I feel about Chefs. You'll have to look out for "my" waiter. I hope you get to see Remy!
I already know what I want too! I am very excited.

I love the Cheddar Cheese soup at Le Cellier. What are you debating between?
I'm debating about going with the Mushroom Filet again or trying one of their sandwiches. I just don't know!

Can't wait to every single last detail of your Brown Derby meal. I need to live vicariously!! ::yes::
Of course! I plan to describe it in great detail!

LTT- I really hope the character rumor is true!! :upsidedow

It is very funny how similar your lists are. Apparently DHS isn't a counter service/snacking park. I couldn't answer either of those questions either!
It's really scary how similar we are, the more we talk to each other the more we have in common. :rotfl2:

I can only imagine the look on your face when you got my list LOL!!!! We are two peas in a pod my friend LOL!!! I was laughing hysterically as I read through your list and was like OMGosh...we did it again LOL! I was worried after our first list and we didn't have much in common at all on it....well we redeemed ourselves because we don't have much at all different on this list LOL!!!

Even our eating is the same so far LOL!!!
It was! I was surprised, although I shouldn't have been since we have so much in common!

Oooooooh I am just dying to see Remy. Seriously. It isn't really in our budget to add another TS meal but...

he is so so so so cute!!!!

I keep going back and forth on whether to add it... and I just can't decide! DM says go for it but... I am the cheap one in the family LOL.:rotfl2:

Your new ADR list really does look great.:thumbsup2

And believe me... you haven't missed out on any DHS CS... blech. Haven't found any I like.:scared:
You should add it, you will regret it if you don't and he's only going to be there for a limited time. Who knows if he will come back!

:woohoo: I cant wait for a report on Remy. I dont get to go until August so I will have to live through you until then-except I am giving up the shopping:rotfl: Yeah, like that is going to happen.:lmao:
:lmao: It's a resolution, no more shopping. I really shouldn't have too much to buy trip or apartment related. :rotfl:

Yes! You must put it on your list!

Also, did you hear another National Treasure is in the works? (read that in the DVC mag)
I did hear about that!

Thanks! I saw him on that other thread and I saw a video of him. He looks so cute!

I'll try to bug my Dad again about finding our old Disney pictures. The ones from when I was 13 are on slides and the ones from when I was 5, I have no idea where they are. I will do my best when I go up there tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Jen and LL, how funny that your list of favorites is so similar!!!

I can't wait to hear about your Chefs meal with Remmy! That sounds really cute! Although I am sad that you are giving up your GF tea :(.
Isn't it crazy!? Hehehe. We are just delaying our GF Tea. We will get to it!

We aren't giving up the tea, we are just saving it for another time and place when I know LL and I will be together again at the most magical place on the planet!!!

It's crazy when I get yours back. It's like reading my own list over again. :rotfl2:

Sounds like some good changes---especially with some Remy involved!!!!

Day 2.
*Lunch @ Le Cellier
Yum, Yum. I'm seriously debating about what I want to get for my entree. I know for sure Chocolate Moose will be ordered. How good is the Cheddar Cheese Soup? Sometimes it really appeals to me and then others it looks just "meh".

I'd give it a try. I'm not a fan normally of cheese soup, (or creamy soups of any kind) but their cheese soup is to die for. I had it for the first time my last trip and can't wait until I get to have it again.

2. Favoite DHS Counter Service? Haven't eaten at any yet!

Avoid the ABC Commisary at all costs. I think it's hands down the worst place to eat on property. I don't understand how you can screw up a simple burger so badly. I ate there on my trip two years ago when I went with my BFF and neither of us could finish our food. Ugh!

Our second afternoon we ate at the Backlot counter service place. I'm not sure of the exact place, but it's the one over by Indiana Jones and Star Tours. I had a delicious vegatarian sandwich that was the best sandwich I ate all week. I'd recomend it in a heartbeat. Really flavorful. My friend had a hot dog and she said it was okay. I used to love the place that was where the Playhouse Disney show is now. I was so sad when they closed it down.

Also, did you hear another National Treasure is in the works? (read that in the DVC mag)

I'm so excited by this. I'm normally kind of meh about Nicholas Cage, but I love him in the National Treasure films. Maybe it's the history geek in me that suddenly finds him so much more attractive in them.

Do the CMs at Disney Dining know you at this point??? :lmao: Do you ever get the feeling that they are saying "oh god, it's LL, who wants to take the call this time?" ;)

Day 1.
*Chefs de France for a late lunch.
Here is a video clip of Remy at Disneyland Paris. It has been confirmed by some people who have seen him this week in Chefs so we were willing to give up our Grand Floridian Tea in exchange for Chefs.
I hope you plan on keeping your ADR for the tea just incase the Remy thing doesn't end up staying thru your trip dates.

Between Chefs and Rose & Crown we will head over to Magic Kingdom in hopes that we can brave the weight and meet the fairies.
By the looks of those fairies I think they are pretty light. :rotfl2: I crack myself up!

I finally ordered the cheddar soup on my third trip to Le Cellier. Everytime I would say I was going to order it and then choose something else. Well I tried it in December. DS and I both had it and we both loved it-but it has to be eaten with the pretzel bread-I am sure that is the only way it is good:thumbsup2

I decided to do it! I'm just about to call and make my Chefs reservation. Thanks for giving me that extra push.

Now.... how can I repay you....:rotfl2:

I agree about ABC Commisary although the breakfast they serve is fine.

Backlot is great for counter service -- it's one of our traditions!

SOUNDSTAGE something or other, Wings! We loved that place! In fact I found a picture of it the other day that I am planning to post in my DHS update. Do you remember the Catwalk that went around the second floor?

Remy?!! Neat! Where did you read that?! We were planning for Chefs already, so that would be a bonus -- is it lunch only? And NICE on LTT -- I was thinking to try that at Christmas...

SO CS at DHS. I agree with PP's it is so-so... I had a salad at Toluca Turkey, yawn, we didn't do Backlot, but that is where I figured we'd go this time, or leave the park... We went to the Writer's Stop and got some great cookies last trip...

I agree, love the cheddar cheese soup with the pretzel bread. Yummy!
I think I might call and see if I can get a Chef's ressie for next week, would love to see Remy:goodvibes

All your plans sound great! Even the updating sounds even more fantastic! Although with you and Jen, I'm sure the trip is going to be excellent reguardless. You really must try Beaches and Cream, if anything, get some ice cream! They have a to-go window right next door and you can get something and sit at the Beach Club at the pool! And btw, I love imdb, especially the trivia and "bloopers" section!

I LOVE your lists and all your ADR musings. They help me to get focused, which believe me, at times is not an easy thing to do! I'm going to add Swiss Family Robinson to my Netfliks que also, right after Bourne something or other for my hubby.

I second or third the cheddar soup with the pretzel bread----UNBELIEVABLY good together!!!

Sounds like some good changes---especially with some Remy involved!!!!
I think it's going to be wonderful. Plus I read on Stitch Kingdom that he is supposed to be at Chefs daily during lunch until 6PM. :thumbsup2

I'd give it a try. I'm not a fan normally of cheese soup, (or creamy soups of any kind) but their cheese soup is to die for. I had it for the first time my last trip and can't wait until I get to have it again.
I love creamy soups so I bet I would like it.

ABC Commissary is OFF the list. It doesn't sound pleasant.

Do the CMs at Disney Dining know you at this point??? :lmao: Do you ever get the feeling that they are saying "oh god, it's LL, who wants to take the call this time?" ;)
:lmao: Not quite yet. They do laugh when I tell them I'm calling to make MORE ADR changes. I bet they get a lot of calls like that.

I hope you plan on keeping your ADR for the tea just incase the Remy thing doesn't end up staying thru your trip dates.
I already canceled the Tea. Jen ate at Chefs on her last trip and is itching to go back and I've been wanting to try it so we're happy with that.

By the looks of those fairies I think they are pretty light. :rotfl2: I crack myself up!
:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: The sad thing is I reread my updates before I post them and I skipped right over that and didn't pick up on that. :rotfl2:

Pretzel bread and Cheese Soup, yum yum. I do that often, thinking I'm going to order one thing and then choosing something totally different when I get there.

I decided to do it! I'm just about to call and make my Chefs reservation. Thanks for giving me that extra push.

Now.... how can I repay you....:rotfl2:
Hehehe. Did you get one? I'm sure there will be some way to repay me. :scared1:

I agree about ABC Commisary although the breakfast they serve is fine.

I've read really good things about Backlot so I will keep that in mind. I do want to pop into Toy Story Pizza Planet just to see what it's like, it sounds neat.

Remy?!! Neat! Where did you read that?! We were planning for Chefs already, so that would be a bonus -- is it lunch only? And NICE on LTT -- I was thinking to try that at Christmas...

It was on Jim Hill and Stitch Kingdom (I think that is what the website is called). It's lunch until 6PM. There is a thread about it and people are confirming that they have seen him. I'm so excited. Your boys would love that. LTT dinner with the characters was awesome in September, I really hope it comes back. We loved the food, the atmosphere and I of course adore Colonial Minnie.

I do want to check our the Beach/Yacht/Boardwalk area. I think it will be great to mosey aruond. I love imdb too, it's so great for my love of useless knowledge. :rotfl2:

I LOVE your lists and all your ADR musings. They help me to get focused, which believe me, at times is not an easy thing to do! I'm going to add Swiss Family Robinson to my Netfliks que also, right after Bourne something or other for my hubby.
I'm glad you are benefiting my ADR musings. I'm starting to drive myself crazy with them! :rotfl2: Swiss Family Robinson is a great movie!

We will need a detailed report with pictures since you get to go before me!!:rotfl:
:thumbsup2

I second or third the cheddar soup with the pretzel bread----UNBELIEVABLY good together!!!
Yum. I really want that for lunch now.

I am enjoying reading about your ADR's. I debate SO much about where we should go. I hope you get to see Remy! :goodvibes
