Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

I would keep your ADRs for now, but I definitely hear you on the thinking things over bit. My DM and I are only doing 3 TS meals on a 9 day trip because they get so expensive and I would much rather put the $$$ toward another vacation! I do love TS meals but I am willing to make sacrifices I suppose.

You can always cancel your ADRs closer to your trip, so I would hold off until you're 100% certain (or maybe even 110%!) which ones you do/don't want to go to.

I would loooove to go in October and see all the Halloween decorations!:goodvibes Darn university.:teacher:

:rotfl:

LL, love the new shower curtain! It's very cute. If you want to cover the corkboard, I would say a solid (or even just white) colored shower curtain would do the trick nicely. I also think the plain corkboard-either with no frame, or with a painted frame-would look artsyfartsy and cool.

I wouldn't overly worry about ventaliation. Run the fan while you are in the shower and for a while after, keep the door open - it should be fine. Just check on the pins every once in a while.

About ADR changes...I bet you could sneak into Y&Y around 11:30 am when they open. There was NO ONE in there when we went in December. You could just polietly comment to the host(ess) that you have seen pictures of it, and you think it's BEAUTIFUL, and you'd just like to bop around for a minute or two to see it with your own eyes...

I bet they'd let you...

And if they didn't - that's just silly.

I understand the whole thing too about wanting to do certain things with your hubby for memories sake. With rope drop versus CP, I bet you'll have PLENTY of time to do everything you want by just making rope drop because you are by yourself. You can go to exactly what you want. From the solo trips I've read, everyone has said that - they get done everything they want in a short amount of time.

Oh, I laughed out loud at the pic of your cat in the box!!!! :rotfl2:
I think at this point, I am going to buy a new corkboard, put my pins on it and then decide where to hang it on moving day. :thumbsup2

That is a really good idea for Yak N' Yeti. I bet they would let me do that. If I'm around at that time I will ask. :thumbsup2

I think I am going to cancel CP. I'm about 95% sure.

Love the new shower curtain!!!! I'm not sure what to tell you about the pin situation---maybe if you found some picture frames that were a little thicker/deeper, you could display the pins on colored foamboard, and then hang them up in the frames. By having them in frames, you wouldn't need to worry about the moisture affecting them---then you could arrange all the frames all around your bathroom. Just an idea!!!!
I thought about frames too. We'll see how it all works out once I move.

If I was going solo and trying to save money than I would do the quickservice dinning plan. I don't mind eating alone, it's not that, I just wouldn't want to waste time having a sit down meal with no one to chat with. Plus I could snack more! Ice cream for dinner anyone???
I thought about that but I think I can do it on my own pretty cheaply, plus with Jen on my Disney Package, I wouldn't want to have to pay for it for the two of us.

This made me giggle today. You definitely named your PTR correctly! :rotfl: Just go with what feels right to you.

And I vote for December!:santa:
I think with my PTR title I totally jinxed myself! :lmao:

It's so nice to know that I am not the only one! :lmao:

Someday soon you will be done and then you can go in the Fall for Halloween! :thumbsup2

I like to post updates....a lot. The more updates I post the faster the time goes by until it's time for my Trip. So I have been thinking of things to update about that are interesting and Disney related. The Lists of Favorites is what I came up with. Jen has agreed to play my favorites game, I send her the questions and don't read her answers until I'm finished with mine. It's interesting to see what we have the same and different.

If anyone has any ideas for Favorite Lists, let me know. I'm sure I'll run out of ideas eventually. :rotfl2:

Cute idea!!! I was cracking up, LL, over your comment about being unable to pick a favorite. Jen, I agree, the Haunted Mansion movie was not the greatest!

We have a lot of favorites in common! How about favorite Disney movie quotes? I know from your last TR you had a lot of great quotes and I always enjoyed reading them.

Great lists! Some of those questions are hard to answer! I love Meet the Robinsons! I definitely think it's one of the more highly underrated Disney movies!

It's really hard for me to pick a favorite, it's almost like I will hurt someone's feelings by picking one thing over another. I don't need to anger Ariel or Belle. :rotfl2:
I recorded The Haunted Mansion a few weeks ago and I only watched a few minutes and remembered how awful it really was. Which is so sad too because they could have done a great movie with it.

Cute update!!! :cutie: And fun!! Thanks for sharing...hmm, other thoughts for favorites? Will have to think about that one, LL!!
If you think of anything let me know!

Oooh, I like the favorite Disney movie quotes, I might have to throw that one in there.

I really think Meet the Robinsons is underrated too. It's such a great movie with a wonderful message. :goodvibes

That was a really cute update from you and jen, LL!
Thanks, Julez!

Very cute indeed LL! (And Jen!) I love the Little Mermaid :goodvibes
I love The Little Mermaid too. I watched it on Tuesday night and last night I put in The Little Mermaid 2 which I happen to love. I know a lot of people don't think the sequels are done well but that one is pretty good I think.

Very cute idea! Mary Poppins is always my favorite live action Disney film too. Although the original Parent Trap and Freaky Friday movies would come close. (And the Witch Moutain film. I can't wait to see the new one this week with The Rock).

At least it's better than the Tower of Terror movie. That was just beyond horrible. Ugh!

Pollyanna is a very close second to Mary Poppins. I adore that movie. I need to buy it, Hallmark used to run it a lot but I haven't seen it in a long time.

I don't think I've ever seen Pollyanna. I think I'm going to have to remedy that one.

I love when they sing that song! I'm always so disappointed when I'm flipping through the stations and I see Parent Trap is going to be on and it ends up being the new one. I don't hate that one, but I much prefer the original.

Polyanna!!! Dbf and I just watched that the other day! And I love love love the Original Parent Trap. Great movies! Thankfully I grew up with the original movies from my mom. I really like the Swiss Family Robinson too :thumbsup2

Aaagh-A trip down memory lane. I love the original movies. Parent Trap and Swiss Family Robinson are two of my favorites. :lovestruc

Oh you do! It's a wonderful movie. I adore it. I believe that is the first movie Haley Mills did for Disney.

It's a great movie. I do like the new one as well. It came out when I was doing a lot of babysitting and I watched it over and over. I bet I could recite the whole movie. :lmao:

Swiss Family Robinson is a WONDERFUL movie. So great. Did you know the father in the movie is Haley Mills' father? Just one of the bit of useless trivia I have floating around in my brain. That is how Walt Disney discovered Haley Mills while she was on the set of the movie.

They are such great movie. :lovestruc

The Rock. :cloud9:

I love talking about all these old Disney movies---loved Pollyanna and Parent Trap!!! I have never seen Swiss Family Robinson---so I am going to have to try to track that one down!!! Sounds like I might enjoy it!
