Sun, Shopping, Sand, Surf, Sweat & Shamu: A Splashin Summertime Sabbatical at SVR!

Yay! You started your report! Thanks to your last report, our last trip we also stayed at the Candlewood Suites in Syracuse. I love the Syracuse airport, small and easy. We flew from Rochester this time, and it was great too! Another option I would recommend when pricing flights. I also discovered I prefer Jetblue over Southwest. But Southwest was better than driving!

Vistana Resort - It looks awesome!! I didn't realize you owned timeshare there. I must have missed that part somewhere in you past reports. :) We almost bought in a few years ago, then changed our mind. But you mentioned you bought resale? Hmmmm, that's interesting. Can I ask, where did you purchase? I think that might be something we may be interested in.

Friendly's looks awesome and brings back memories for me. When I was a kid we used to drive to Florida to visit my Grandma and we would always stop at Friendly's.

I'm looking forward to your review on Dick's Last Resort. Maybe it will be a new place for us to try!

pigletto, remember when you asked me (right after we arrived) if we preferred the south side or the north side? And I said that it was hard to pick, that we loved different aspects of both? Well, I must be honest.....we are north side converts. While the Super Pool in Spas is awesome, it comes second to the Fountains pool for us. We love the quietness of the north side, we prefer the Fountains pool to the Super or Cascades pools, and the skylight in the unit just sealed the deal. I must still agree with bankr63 that there really isn’t a “bad” section in the whole resort, but we are grateful to have discovered (and purchased in) the Fountains. By sheer good luck, it definitely is the place for us!

Yup, and I stand by those words. Eventually we may try every section in the resort, but we've yet to have a bad experience, just a little bit different in each section.

Actually, your Fountains unit looks sooo close to the unit we had in Springs, also a 3rd story with skylight. The biggest difference to me is that the dining table and the console are swapped side for side. I really liked the console table near the door - it became our spot for hats, sunscreen, keys and phone charging station - so handy! The Spas units were missing this table and I really missed it! Sometimes it's the little things.

Your Fountains unit the first I've seen with a desk area. I think I would really like this little as I need a spot to setup to check Disney schedules, post online, check e-mails etc. I usually end up perched on a stool at the kitchen counter. Pretty neat addition.

Thanks for posting all those pictures. We may be 7 months out still but I'm starting to get excited! Seeing the pictures just brings it all back. Actually, I just downloaded the 2015 Unofficial Guide - now that really gets me going. Really looking forward to what my "go-to-guys" have to say about FP+. I must say that after two chapters I find that they are becoming much more pro offsite than they were the last 4 times I read it. Seems they're really seeing how expensive on-site is getting and how much better the deal is for off-siters.

Actually I can't believe how many times I've read UG over again! I just wish they'd do a better job with the eBook edition. There are so many features they could use with cross-referencing and linking that they are totally ignoring. (Now there's a Disney related IT job I could really get into LOL).

We purchased both our units through Concierge Realty in Orlando. We just bought them last fall, after our first stay at the Vistana (we loved it so much there, finding an affordable resale unit became my mission when we returned home from our 2013 August vacation).

Each unit was $99 and the sellers paid both the closing and transfer fees. The 2013 maintenance fees were paid in full but the sellers didn't use the weeks, so we got two free weeks of usage as part of the deal as well. We didn't go looking for two weeks specifically, but when the opportunity came up to get them for virtually no cost at all, we opted to take both (it was the same seller who had both weeks for sale).

The real estate agent we dealt with at Concierge was awesome. I would highly recommend her (feel free to PM me if you want her name). She lists her units on My Resort Network as well, so you can always look up the listings there to see what's currently on the market.

bankr63 was a great resource for me before we opted to make the timeshare commitment. I am very grateful for all he was able to teach me about timeshares, the resale market, and Vistana!!

Your Fountains unit the first I've seen with a desk area. I think I would really like this little as I need a spot to setup to check Disney schedules, post online, check e-mails etc. I usually end up perched on a stool at the kitchen counter. Pretty neat addition.

That desk was so handy :thumbsup2 . I loved it. We set up the laptop there, charged our phones, kept our receipts organized.....it was our "command centre", so to speak.

Your 7 months will fly by.....or at least the part up to New Years. The autumn always seems to pass so quickly, with kids starting back to school, then Thanksgiving, and then Christmas on the horizon (lol, I ordered my Christmas cards today.....does that make me weird? :rolleyes1) . Those mid-winter months might drag, but at least you have a reprieve to look forward to :) . I hear they're predicting another doozy of a winter, so your March week in the Florida sun will seem even more marvelous ::yes:: .

You know, regarding the owners update, you are now in near perfect position to go Starwood Platinum if I recall correctly. I know the rules change often, and I haven't read up on this in quite a long time, but it seems to me that by converting two units and buying a third that you could really start to leverage the SVC system. This takes lots of reading on TUG to understand, and be sure to let the experienced owners there guide you, but for you and Steve it may be something to consider if you are truly getting the TimeShare travel bug.

But I am always amazed at how they try to "disinform" owners about what they own just hoping to make a sale. The terms of our ownerships are set out in legal documents that are pretty clear cut. Try as they might, it is pretty tough for them to diminish what we have bought (for pennies on the dollar).

Turns out we would see these notes of inspiration scrawled across the sky multiple times during our stay. The sky writers were certainly busy during that first week in particular!!

It's funny how many of these things you see in Florida. They are pretty prevalent in March too. Along the Gulf Coast, it tends to be planes dragging banners - I guess the strong winds erase their efforts too quickly with writing.

We arrived at the outlet mall in no time (love, love, LOVE that it’s so close by!) and miraculously, it was pretty easy to find a decent parking space. We had expected to have to pay to valet the van, so it was nice to have a little cash saved as a result. The kids had certain stores they wanted to visit while Steve and I had others, so we agreed to divide and conquer for the first while with a meet-up in a couple of hours.

Jake and Sweetie opted to start at the new portion of the mall that has been built directly across the street from the main buildings:

You know, I think time of day has a lot to do with the parking. I have yet to have a hard time parking at Vineland. Worst experience was about 5 minutes cruising for a spot in mid-afternoon. But I think time-of-day has a lot to do with it. We usually hit the Outlets mid-morning before the crowds really pick up, and parking is just not an issue. I do like using the parking garage so the car doesn't bake too much in the sun.

Really looking forward to this new section. Are there a lot of stores over there? I am also looking forward to using the new overpass over I-4 behind the Outlet Mall to get over to Turkey Lake, Winn Dixie and ABC while avoiding the Crossroads traffic nightmare!

As to the grocery shopping comments, A+ and I could probably do nothing but hit new grocery stores when travelling in the US. We LOVE food shopping, and discovering all the really cool things that US stores carry that we can't get here. Publix is still one of our absolute favorite chains in the US (top three also includes Wegman's and Trader Joe's). We probably have reusable grocery bags from about 20 US chains, it's kind of a collection I guess. So yes, Publix is more expensive than Wally World, but it is a real grocery store with real selection, great food, and (compared to Canada) great prices. I can save more at Wally World, but then I have to go to Wally World...

Edit: Just thought I would add that one of our additions last year was Piggly Wiggly (of Driving Miss Daisy fame) in South Carolina. I know they aren't doing so well these days as a chain, but I must say they had some of the most interesting "meats" I have ever found. I thought they made most of that stuff into wieners...

I have so much to catch up on!!!
I showed Dh the pictures Friday evening and he thinks it looks great. High praise from dh, because although he loves our vacations, he really doesn't get excited until the week before. He's content to let me plan, and minus a few suggestions he doesn't ask for much. However, he has been totally willing to move offsite for the last 4 or more trips. He enjoys our time onsite at Disney, but he wants to try some new restaurants and have more space. So I think he's happy I've finally decided to get out of my on property rut.:rolleyes1

I think like you Gina I plan to request a top floor, and no traffic noise when it's my turn. Then I will just see where we end up. It all looks beautiful so I can't imagine being disappointed with anywhere we end up.:)

Lol, we stumbled across a Dick's Last Resort in Myrtle Beach several years back when my kids were a lot younger and figured we'd give it a try... :upsidedow
Can't wait to read about it! :goodvibes

Steve has been after me for a while to find a third unit, so we have a "spare" for either an extra vacation each year or to rent out to friends and family. I have flatly told him no :rotfl: . The frugal part of me says we have more than enough, and even though the temptation is there, I am going to stand my ground. I don't think we'd ever buy from the developer though, no matter what kind of incentives they offer. I will never be as adept at working the system as some of those folks on TUG....how they grew to learn the in's and out's like they do, I will never know. Our resale units have offered us the chance to vacation two weeks a year at our resort of choice for a fraction of booking direct with Sheraton, and that's exactly what we had wanted when our search began. Mission accomplished.

That said, if I happen to win Lotto 649 some day, I might buy another 50 weeks and just live there year-round. Resale again, of course! Hey, a girl can dream, right? ;)

What day of the week do you check in, pigletto? Just out of curiosity. That may eliminate a section or two from the possibilities.

Hee hee...its coming up next :thumbsup2 .

As far as the MB Dick's, did you enjoy it? Or find it.....not your style?

Monday, August 18th…..lunch at Dicks!

You know, we should have known when we entered the restaurant, and saw the racks of t-shirts like these hanging in their little souvenir area:

that we were in for a rather off-colour dining experience. I really was just dying for some a/c and a glass of water, so while I saw them there, I really didn’t “see” them there, if you know what I mean.

It was bright and colourful inside and there was a lot going on….every inch of the place was covered with “stuff”. My eyes didn’t know where to look first!! It was a very fun atmosphere though, with music playing and the staff bouncing around like little Mexican jumping beans. There was some good energy there.

Our server, a young fellow in a green shirt, came flouncing over with menus in hand, and at a pace that would rival any professional auctioneer on a steady diet of Red Bull, starting firing off information on the daily specials and god knows what else….I could only understand half of what he was saying. I did manage to decipher something about “service with sarcasm”….. then he took our drink order. By this time, the kids were in stitches at this colourful fellow and I totally drew a blank when he inquired as to what beverage I wished to order. I was still trying to process the rapid-fire, menu-flinging introduction in my brain….what was the question? At which point our flamboyant server looked at Steve, rolled his eyes, and said “Is she always this ditzy, or just on Mondays?”. Ah yes, we were in for a treat.

The menus were as silly as the servers, with many of the entree selections having names that were a little off-colour. Another teasing, insult-driven exchange ensued while we offered up our meal choices to our waiter. He had a seemingly endless supply of one-liners to counter almost every sentence we uttered. When he sauntered away to the kitchen, I looked at my trio and grovelled….I am so sorry!!! We wanted a nice peaceful lunch, and I ended up bringing you HERE! To which the kids looked at me in astonishment, and said “Are you kidding? This place is awesome!!! Our server is a riot!!”.

Chock one up for mom.

No long after, our server bursted out the kitchen door, sped over to a corner behind our table, and began busily working away on a task that we couldn’t quite see. A few minutes later, he turned around and began walking toward our table with what appeared to be a large white….hat?

Oh yes. Yes it was. And apparently, it was made especially for Jake, with a personalized message crafted in red magic marker (if you can’t make it out on the photo, it says “Wearing a manthong” with an arrow pointing downward).

Lol, we all enjoyed a good laugh at Jake’s expense, as did the rest of the patrons who had just filtered in (the restaurant had been pretty much empty when we arrived). Just when we thought it couldn’t get any sillier, it apparently had done just that.

While still laughing and pointing at Jake’s public shaming, our server appeared at the table again, this time with a hat for Sweetie:

It read: “I failed my IQ test”. Apparently no one was going to be safe at this meal!!!

You guessed it, two additional hats were ultimately delivered with our server’s trademark flourish……one for me:

(and NO, you will not see the photo of me wearing it….that’s simply not happening ;) )…..

….and one for Steve:

(“I beat anorexia. Twice!”)

In the middle of the bedlam, our food arrived (and it had been so chaotic to this point, I had almost forgotten we had come here to eat!!). And I want to stress one thing here: while the crazy, silly, fun and frenzied atmosphere of this wacky restaurant might be the initial draw, people will come back for the food. It was good. Really, REALLY good. Shockingly, surprisingly and fantastically awesome.

Steve had the philly cheesesteak sandwich:

Sweetie had the meatball sub. Jake had the Big Clucking Chicken Sandwich:

and I had the meatballs and mashed potatoes:

According to their literature, everything that comes out of the kitchen is made from scratch (sauces included) with the exception of the mustard and ketchup that they use. After witnessing the initial shenanigans of the staff, I had low expectations for the quality of the food, but I was absolutely happily surprised. All of us loved our meal choices, and devoured every last bite……and it came really, really quickly after ordering too. We were seriously impressed.

The manager came out at one point to chat us up, which I thought was a nice touch. He was as loud and boisterous and humorous as the rest of the staff, with perhaps an even louder voice than the rest of them. When he found out we were from Canada, he enjoyed rattling off his stash of Canadian jokes (“What’s the difference between a Canadian and a canoe? A canoe tips!”). He was a super guy, though, and made us genuinely feel that they were grateful for our business. We really were fussed over, mercilessly teased, and laughed at through the entire dining experience.

Sweetie had just adored our server, and begged me to ask if he’d have his photo taken with her. He happily obliged….in fact, he couldn’t get into the frame fast enough!

The kids and Steve both looked at me as we were preparing to leave, and all had the same thing to say: we’ve just found another “must do” for our Orlando trips. Fabulous food, entertaining atmosphere, and a really affordable price (our mammoth lunch for 4, including tax and tip, was just $57). I will add a disclaimer here though……we have a rather bizarre sense of humor ourselves, so this place was right up our alley. For the more conservative, religious or otherwise conventional folks among us, this place will not be for you. The humor is a little warped, a little off-colour, and brash. Jake and Sweetie laughed so hard at times that the tears ran down their faces. Definitely the place to take your teens. Perhaps not the place to take your Grandma!! (unless you have a super-cool and not-so-traditional Grandma :rolleyes1)

Our server couldn't resist one final parting shot as we handed him the payment for our meal. He cast a long glance around our table, and casually directed us to leave the table as it was, that he would clear our trash. Then he turned, smiled sweetly, and spoke directly to Steve, saying "except for her....(head nods in my direction)....you brought her in, you take her with you".

And that, my friends, was our peaceful lunch :lmao: .

HeHe! I guess that place is one we won't go to, well, unless my teen brings a friend.

DD and I split a cheesesteak at WDW. She liked it so much, she said next time, it will be all hers. My town is known for cheesesteaks. So much so, you order saying "with or without". That means the cheese wiz type of cheese that most places use. I like the chicken cheesesteaks too.

DD had a great time this week-end. She slept until I woke her at 10:15am the next morning. To have teens!:)

Onward with the next installment, I'll be waiting. :dance3:

Mmmmm.....cheesesteaks and Tastycakes! And no tax on clothes. If our plans to move to Florida don't pan out, I think our plan B will be to become your neighbour :) .

Love those hats, I bet you wore them for the rest of the day :rotfl:

:rotfl2: I think the kids were happy to leave the hats behind. I know I was ;) .

A little update on our disappointing meal at TGI Friday's in Syracuse....

ZehnJahren, I took your advice and sent off an email to their Head Office, summarizing the details of our visit and expressing our disappointment. I tried to be as factual and objective as possible, hoping to come off more as offering constructive criticism rather than a full-blown complaint. If I were in charge of that establishment, I know I sure would want that kind of guest feedback in order to make the changes and corrections that so desperately need to be applied.

Well, tonight my phone rings and my call display comes up with a number I don't recognize (though the source showed as "New York"). I considered letting my voice mail pick up, figuring it must be a telemarketer....but as a general rule, I rarely get telemarketing calls on my cell. So I opted to answer. To make a long conversation short, it turns out the caller was a VP of Operations for TGI Fridays, calling to apologize for our experience at the Carousel Mall and to offer his personal apologies. He pledged to address each of our concerns with the manager of that location and even thanked me for bringing the issues to his attention. He was a super nice fellow, very sincere.

So tonight I am very surprised (and rather impressed) at TGI Friday's customer service, as I really didn't expect to receive any kind of response at all to my email. Nice to know that there are still people out there who are listening, and who care. Kudos to them :) .

Despite my assurances that it wasn't necessary (I neither asked for it, nor expected it), he concluded the call by telling me that there was an envelope already on the way to us by mail that includes a voucher for a complimentary meal on a future visit. Its been shipped from Dallas so it should arrive here within a couple of weeks. Very kind, indeed.

I guess there's another slice of Reese's Peanut Butter Pie in my future. Steve and I now know where we will be dining for one of our meals on our May trip.

Gina, I'm so glad to hear you heard back from TGI Fridays. That sounded like a truly unacceptable meal, and you can't sustain many of those in the business world without a hit to the bottom line. Good that they're sending you a voucher for a complimentary meal - that's the least they could do! ;) I'm impressed that they CALLED!

Now, back to Dick's.

I have a Dick's Last Resort magnet my dad sent me on my birthday one year; I love those types of places! Sarcasm is one of my favorite forms of expression  so it's right up my alley. Sounds like your "nice quiet meal" turned into something great!

Looking at that menu in your picture, it's definitely acceptable prices in my book! Really nice to know that the food was also great; maybe I'll stick it on my "if we manage to eat offsite" list!

Have to be honest - I love a good joke, but I would never have worn your "hat"!

Dick's looks like a lot of fun with the right crowd (i.e not my overly eager to please 10 year old who actually thought he was in trouble when the server scolded him for not eating his veggies at 50's prime time):rotfl:. Maybe one to keep in mind though. I remember seeing one in Boston and wondering what it was all about!

And good for Friday's following up on your concerns! I don't expect places to never have a totally off night, I was a server in my 20's and know how sometimes things can go wrong from start to finish. I just think the staff you dealt with could use some retraining and it sounds like they'll get some.

In other news.. my vacation is getting closer and it can't come soon enough. I've got a teen girl in the throes of teen girl-ness this evening who is feeling the crushing pressure of this being the last year of high school and needing stellar grades for university applications already. It's going to be a long few months. I promise I am reassuring and helpful most of the time. Tonight though I'd like to sell her to a circus and head to Florida early with the proceeds.:rolleyes1

Gina:

I just wanted to say that I love your TRs, and am really looking forward to the rest of this one. I live in Davenport (about 15 minute south of Disney) and it's so much fun to read about your family's adventures around Orlando and live vicariously through you while I'm at work. :)

I was super impressed by the phone call, too. That kind of customer service is rare to find these days. You know, just the personal acknowledgement that they actually cared about a guest experience was completely enough. It definitely makes me want to patronize them again on future trips!

As for my hat.....let's just say it didn't remain on my head very long. And I was happy to leave it behind :rolleyes1 . As someone who prefers to "blend in" versus stand out, this was a little over the top for me. Of course, Jake thought it was marvellous....nothing like seeing your Momma completely embarrassed by a perfect stranger.

lol, I got a birds eye view into the teen girl-ness on our trip  . They are definitely a lot more sensitive, a lot more dramatic, and a lot more emotional than their male counterparts. But yet, they are also perfectly delightful :) . I can empathize with your daughter, that last year of high school is filled with a lot of emotion and pressure. But it also gets to be more fun as graduation approaches and the end draws near :thumbsup2 . You can bet her mood will change once spring arrives and second semester is drawing to a close.

Thank you nancipants :goodvibes! Glad to have you along!

Lucky you to live next door to my favourite place in the whole world! I am not ashamed to admit I'm jealous ;) . Becoming a resident of Orlando (or one of the surrounding communities) is our life's mission....soon as this kiddo of ours is educated and on his own, we intend to kick that plan into high gear. We can't imagine any place we'd rather be :) .

Monday, August 18th….continued.

After we concluded our lunch at Dick’s, the kids had more shopping they wanted to accomplish. So we kicked around the outlet mall for a while longer before finally calling it a day. Sweetie….who had brought along 5 pair of brand new shoes for our trip, despite my pleading to bring her oldest, ugliest, comfiest footwear….had developed one huge foot blister and needed some minor first aid. So we returned to the villa for a short break in the coolness of the air conditioning and to medicate and bandage her injured toe before proceeding to our next activity.

It was late afternoon by this point, but no one was even remotely hungry yet after our hearty meal at Dick’s. The kids in particular were eager to take in a round of mini golf, and Sweetie was desperate to have an encounter with an alligator. So we decided to head out to Congo River in Kissimmee to accomplish both tasks.

I know I have mentioned this a zillion times before, but this really is my favourite mini golf chain in Orlando. The décor, the music, the theming…..it’s just so much fun. And the fans and misters located between the various holes are a welcome respite in the August heat!

Steve and I opted to take a pass on the gator holding, as we had already done it multiple times before. So I paid for 4 rounds of golf (used two BOGO coupons from the Entertainment Book, so we saved $24 on golf admission alone), two gator holdings (one for each of the kids) and two bags of gator food (even had a $1 coupon for those….hey, even those little savings add up over the course of two weeks!). Hearing that it was Sweetie’s first trip to Florida, the staff gave her the chance to hold the gator first, but she was suddenly scared to death and wanted Jake to take the first turn. He was happy to oblige. Here he is, posing with Bruce the Gator.

The handler was a real gem. A funny guy that had us all in stitches. Somehow , some way, he even managed to get Jake to give that darn gator a kiss.

Next, it was Sweetie’s turn. She was so terrified she was shaking……

…..but eventually, she and Bruce got nicely acquainted and she not only managed the coveted Facebook profile pic:

She also grew comfy enough with her new friend to giv him a big ol’ smooch too. Ah, gator love!

We fed the gators next. Jake and Sweetie shared their bag of cut-up hot dog wieners while Steve-o and I shared the second bag. I always enjoy this kind of activity as much as the golfing. It’s just a very “Florida” thing to do.

Once the gator food was gone, we dug around in our pockets for as many quarters as we could scrounge so we could also feed the resident koi. It’s amusing to watch the little frenzy that 25 cents worth of food generates. Sweetie, in particular, was quite taken with the little show.

Up last was a round of golf. We let the boys pick the course, which I can’t remember the name of, but it was the opposite course from the one we golfed on our last visit. You can’t go wrong with either. Both are fun and challenging without frustrating the crapola out of a person. The course wasn’t overly busy, and it was really enjoyable not having to wait for anyone before us or feel as if we were being chased by people behind. We were able to take our time and really enjoy each and every hole……and have a good laugh when necessary at the golfing skills (or lack thereof) of one of our foursome.

Yep, that music is catchy alright. Sometimes, you just couldn’t help but dance (much to Sweetie’s chagrin…..good grief, that Jake is embarrassing :lmao:).

By the time we finished up, it was after 8 pm, and time to decide on dinner. Where to go? That's next :) .

That said, if I happen to win Lotto 649 some day, I might buy another 50 weeks and just live there year-round. Resale again, of course! Hey, a girl can dream, right? ;)

If you want to dream, look at the posts from "RonandJoan" on TUG. They sold their home and have been living the TS life full-time for six years now, leveraging a stable of only about 8 to 10 TS ownerships. They are my heroes for TS owners. Not that I plan to do that, but it is awe inspiring to read how they do. Ummm, but don't let Steve read that, Okay?

No kidding!!! :faint:

Can you imagine, though? Simply amazing ::yes:: (and a good reminder that where there's a will, there's a way!).

Dinner plans….

The initial plan for dinner had been to hit up Miller’s Ale House for the first time. It had long been an entry on our “to try” list, but for some reason we never seemed to squeeze it in. A quick perusal of the specials menu confirmed that Mondays were their famous rib nights, so tonight was our perfect opportunity to try out this much-recommended establishment.

Or so we thought :crazy2:.

The Ale House is located just a very short drive from the Vistana, so it didn’t take us long to arrive there. With the late hour (coming up on 9 pm), we figured the dinner rush would long since have passed.

Nope. Not at all :headache:.

We drove around and around and around the parking lot…..perhaps a half dozen times…..and there wasn’t even a single place for us to park the van. Every spot, every space, every nook and cranny was filled with a vehicle. Considering how problematic it was turning out just to find parking, we made the executive decision to nix Millers and proceed to Plan B. In this case, it was Chili’s, another family favourite.

By the time we got seated and placed our order, the oppressive heat of the day had really begun to take its toll. Jake was feeling rather unwell, and we were all growing a tad weary. Clearly we needed to eat, enjoy a swim, then grab some shut-eye ::yes::.

Steve had a steak:

I had chicken strips:

Sweetie ordered the quesadillas:

And Jake, my little should-have-been-Italian boy, went with the pasta:

Of course, we also had to have the fried cheese. And it must be stretched, with a photo taken for posterity’s sake. Simply because we are weird, and that’s what we do :rotfl:.

You can see on poor Jake’s face how done we were, though. And as much as the food was fantastic (I seriously don’t know what they do with their chicken strips here, but my oh my….they were da bomb!) we ended up boxing up a good portion of it and taking it to go. We had officially reached our limit (and seriously underestimated how the very dramatic climate change from the below-normal temperatures at home to the record heat of Orlando would affect our northern bodies) and wanted only one thing: to drag our sorry selves back to the villa, change into our swimsuits, and enjoy a refreshing swim under the stars. And that’s exactly what we did ::yes:: .

We all turned in around 11-ish, as tomorrow we would be up reasonably early to fulfill our first park visit of the trip. Bet you can guess where :):
