I believe I read/saw something that DW is trying to replace the monorails but the newer models are too wide to go through the Contemporary. (of course I don't recall when or where I saw this..)

OP here - it did start up again shortly after posting.
Trams were an entirely new headache. The battle ready mechanical doors are a horror show. The warning speech is more like a dissertation. And, the new runner checking each row twice is a huge waste of time

You can thank those who didn't listen to "This tram is now full -- no more boarding, please!" and "Please seat the little ones toward the middle" announcements.

One thing that stood out - the number of times the announcer claimed final boarding while the tram remained idle only to start the boarding message over again several minutes later when a person approached the area. We weren't there during peak crowds with people trying to jump on the tram.
The whole hats & objects message is now done before the tram moves. We found walking to be fastest unless the tram was nearly full upon approach.
I seriously thought the individual (color coded) monorails each had been assigned nicknames and one was named "Diane" after Walt's daughter and that monorail was having issues. My next thought was "how did I not know this before?"
LOL
