Springtime Surprise 2026 (Apr 16-20)

POT should still be available to check in your profile registration. I mention this because that bib # sounds like something other than A. Would guess that A is 10001-10500 or so. Very rough estimate.

For reference, there's obviously a wonky conversion that needs to happen for the 10 miler, but for the half this is how it goes:

- A: <2:00
- B: 2:00-2:15
- C: 2:15-2:30

I put in 2:03, which for the challenge gave me bib 205xx and I'm half-expecting B (particularly since it'll give me B for the half) with a chance it converts to a time they think works for A. I might try to gather data to see if I can figure out the cutoffs but I'm not optimistic, this is a tough weekend for that.
Last year the cutoff for A Challenge bibs was the high 20400's. I was right after the cutoff sadly and in B. :( Thankfully this year I have a 10K POT that is faster so I should be in A ( I asked runner relations last year because my POT was in October but after the cutoff and they said yes it would be an "A" POT) as I am in the 203XX range

We have two family members running the challenge. the first bib starts with 226 and the second starts with 244. Would they possibly be in different groups? They were registered at the same time.

It's quite likely that they are in different corrals. How Disney places people in non-POT corrals is a mystery known only to them (I think that it's by using darts :rotfl2: ).

That being said, if they definitely want to run together, the person in the "faster" corral can always drop back to the "slower" corral.

Thank you! That's so disappointing as one is an adult and one is a minor. Wish the algorithm or whatever they use could have processed that better. The "faster" will definitely drop back to be with the "slower."

Do we find out actual assignments once we check in at the expo?

Oh, that is completely different. If one is a minor, I believe that you can go to Runner Relations at the Expo and they should fix it.

Yes, there's no way of knowing for certain until you get the physical bibs. The information that most of us are working on right now is surmised from social media posts and crowd-sourcing.

Thank you! We will check in with Runner Relations and ask.

RE: POT talk, saw a report from someone who submitted a 2:48 half and appears to be in the last corral. I think that time actually translates to a pace that could be in D, but I keep hearing (mostly elsewhere!) people talk about how they want to submit their POTs because they think they'll just be put in their appropriate corral even if it's not under 2:30 and a lot of times that's not the case.

For years, rD made clear that if you submit a PoT that does not correspond to the PoT requirements, they would 100% seed you into the last corral. I wish they’d go back to making that clear again.

Not the target audience but as usual, really good job. Honeycomb on the Brooks logo! Genie lamp soles!

I had a disagreement with someone who was convinced they didn't do this and I thought I was going crazy lol. Putting in POTs that don't fit in the designated range just means they spend even more time sifting through these and they don't want to do that! Really wish they would just publish their charts, if people continue to do this they at least have something to point to when this happens.

I wish the soles on the Winnie the Pooh & Tigger too shoes were the same color. (Just my opinion and if you love it, great!!) I like the honeycomb detail and am okay with the different colored laces and treads.

I also like the details on the Genie shoe.
Not sure how much I would wear either.
I don’t think I liked the way the Ghosts felt, and I wish they had another Ghost Max. I think I tried the Glycerin’s on at MW and they were okay - so maybe to Genie.
I’ll probably continue to wear my Minnie’s!
For me these are strictly walking around shoes, so it’s also hard to justify the price tag for not wearing them all the time.
