Still Sassy after all this time!

Did anyone rescue Squiddy from the trunk? I hope so-rotting seafood doesn't smell too good! :teeth:

I escaped from the trunk in time for my birthday! Happy Belated Angie, my fellow Gemini!!!

Here's a not so good story of something stupid I did on our trip. Last Thursday we were watching the fireworks from our balcony and in the dark I was trying to fool with my camera. I wanted to change the setting to the fireworks scene to try and get some better shots. Anyway I started pushing buttons on I deleted all my pictures. I felt just sick to my stomach :guilty: I started crying because I was so mad at myself. Yesterday I took my card back to the store that I bought the camera from. They are sending it away to try to recover the lost pictures. I had over 200 just from Disney. :sad2: I don't think it looks too good because the lady tried to recover them in the store and she said she didn't see anything on my card. She's sending it off and supposedly they have a much better program at the main office. It cost $45.00 for them to try and recover the pictures but I'll get my money back if they can't help me. At least my sister was with us the whole trip and I can get a copy of all of her pictures but I still want my own. :sad1: So it might be quite a while before I can post any pictures at all :scared: I'll find out on Thursday if they can help me.

Eek! I hope they are able to recover the pictures for you!

Thanks for the prayers, guys! Mr. FofP's grandma is still hanging in, but they have stopped her antibiotics, heart meds, etc. and are just keeping her comfortable with morphine and oxygen. She's comfortable and peaceful.

I have to brag about Wally. He's a terrible barker, so we have been working on it in obedience class. He gets a time out in a crate covered with a sheet in class if he barks at another dog (he's overly friendly, and imagines that everyone would like to drop whatever they are doing and come play with him if he just extends the invitation!). So, last week we did 29 time outs and it took him 35 minutes of class to hush up. This week - only 4 time outs! He saw the crate when he walked in and gave a little groan! However, he got the gold star for the night for being the most improved pup. And, as an added bonus, all of the other students still have their hearing upon leaving class!
The grandma is in my thoughts.

Maybe I should do something like that with Jafar as he barks at everything!

So how's everyone on this Hump Day? We need some pictures.

Today we are heading to Michael's to get some crafty things for the kids to do this summer.
My hump day was ok. I went to the doctor's and took a half day. I'm starting on Meridia under the guidence of my doctor to help me lose some weight.

Oh What did you get at Michael's? I love that store!

Hi Sassies! Fil is doing much, much better and will probably be moved to a regular room today. Thanks again for the prayers, they really work!

Thats great news!

Good morning, Sassies! I got up early this morning to get BamBam off to school and Wally off to camp. I drove BamBam to school and then drove another 40 minutes round trip to get Wally to camp and I come home and Barney is still snoozing! Those 5a.m swim practices are just around the corner, and we've definitely hit the adolescent sleep pattern - UGH! I may need to get a cattle prod.

They sell the cattle prods from Williams & Sonoma that you can get with some fun initials on it.

Howdy Sassies! Thanks for all the b-day wishes! We went out for a nice dinner and also went to see Up. Up was really good, but there a coupla' parts in there that you may need a tissue. So sad! :sad1: It isn't my favorite Pixar movie, but it was definitely really good. :thumbsup2
I really want to see Up. I'm glad you had a good birthday outing.

Those that wanted pictures - on facebook I'm sure there are some great drunken pictures of me posted by those that were with me.

Too bad I'm not on facebook. :lmao: That does sound like you had a very interesting weekend. Care to share?

This afternoon I'll find out about my pictures. I'm really in the mind set that I lost them so if by any chance they were able to save them that will surely be a welcome surprise.

We went to Michael's yesterday and the only thing we got was those big black velvet color things. Nothing else seemed to say buy me . :confused3

You should get on facebook. Its fun ;)

Too bad nothing else said 'buy me' :(

It was yesterday!

Happy Belated Birthday then! Hope you had fun :)

Happy late birthday Squiddy!

Meli, love the pics! Can you explain the theme of the weekend to me? It looked like a lot of fun.

Tricia, I have never purchased one of those black velvet coloring things. Do the kids like them? I found Shrinky Dinks at Joanne Fabrics, I haven't done shrinky dinks since I was a kid. The boys love them!

Shrinky Dinks! That brings back such fond memories. The girls and I did that when they were little. I'll have to be on the lookout for those. Even if they don't want to do it I will. :rotfl:

Happy belated birthday, Squid! Did you get any good loot?

Mr. FofP's grandma passed away late last night, very peacefully. He's hoping to be able to come home tomorrow. I hope he does - we have missed him terribly. BamBam is taking it all really hard - I think he is re-living Linus's death in some ways, as he seemed to grieve very little for that. In any case, ice cream will be dinner tonight, as we celebrate GG's (that's the kids' name for her) life.

I am sorry to say that Wally has been suspended from camp for excessive humping. Yes, you read that right. It seems he is in need of neutering in an expeditious manner, and they would like him to refrain from returning until he is snipped. Poor Wally.

Tricia - I like those black faux velvet coloring things! We always get a few to take to summer swim meets.

Becca - I am going to have to keep my eye out for Shrinky Dinks - I love those things!

Hi to all!

Happy late birthday Squiddy!

It was a meeting of people that play a game with me online called Puzzle Pirates. Yeah, I'm officially a dork.

Whats a Shrinky Dink?

I'm glad she was able to go peacefully.

Wally :rotfl:I remember that with Gaston! The poor boys just want to get some loving attention, ya know ;)

So sorry to hear about Mr. FoP's grandma! At least she went peacefully. Poor BamBam. Give him extra hugs from all of us.

On a completely different note, Wally's suspension is one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time! :lmao: It must be hard when there are so many attractive females around!!

Wilma, leave it to you to have the saddest and funniest post of the day. I'm so glad to hear she went peacefully. For the ones left behind that is the greatest gift. Please let Mr FofP know we are thinking of him and poor BamBam, its so hard when they are young. Speck used to hump poor Justin all the time. When the vet said he could be neutered at any time we signed up that day. Poor dog, but Justin felt a lot better.

Meli, okay now I get it! You are not a dork, well at least no more of a dork than I am. Shrinky Dinks are a sheet of plastic that you draw on and then you put it in the oven and it shrinks a lot and is just fun.

Angie, can you send some heat to me please! It's supposed to be summer time and I'm freezing. At least the sun is out and it's not raining. Maybe Mother Nature wants it to feel like winter because its still HOCKEY SEASON!!! GO WINGS!!!!!

Females, males, fence posts, it really doesn't matter. If it will stay still for more than 3 seconds Wally will give it a try. He's an equal opportunity humper. Wouldn't want anyone to feel excluded, you know.;)

Judi, where are you? You are scaring me so get out here and post something!

Good morning, Sassies! It's BamBam's last day of school!:banana::banana:

Here's a little song for my Sassy friends:

Oh the rain rain rain came down down down
In rushing rising rivulets
Till the river rushed out of it's bed
And rushed right into Piglet's!

Oh, the rain rain rain came down down down
And Piglet started bailing
He was unaware, atop his chair
While bailing he was sailing

This perfectly describes the day here in beautiful Charlottesville. And, the yard has gotten so long that Wally is in danger of getting lost (or discovering a ferocious lion by accident) in the tall grass. Yikes!

Have a great day, Sassies!

Happy Friday Sassies! Today is our 16th anniversary, gosh time sure does fly by. The Red Wings were supposed to give me a win last night as an anniversay gift, leave it to a group of men to let me down!

I dropped the phone in the toilet yesterday whilst cleaning it and talking to Brian with it propper between my ear and shoulder. That will teach me to multitask while cleaning the commode.

Have a great day Sassies!!!

Good Morning Sassies.

Well I got the news that I was expecting yesterday............they couldn't recover my pictures. :guilty: So here's my tip of the day for all of you. Never try to fool with your camera in the dark. I will post some of my sisters pictures when I get them.

Wilma I'm sorry that Mr. FOP's gramda passed on. It is always a blessing when they go peacefully and had a wonderful life.

Becca did Brian's dad move into his own room yet? I hope he's doing better.

Sam's club is calling my name today. My kids love going there and who can pass up those big Icee's for only 99 cents. I think that's part of why they like that store so much.

This is the precise reason that I have always thought men should clean the toilet. They are poor multitaskers anyway, so the phone (or whatever else you many have to handle at the moment) are not in any danger when they do the job! Becca, your misfortune has just proven my point!:thumbsup2

Happy Anniversary, Becca!

Any special plans?

Sorry about the pictures, Tricia:hug: What a disappointment!

Hi Sassies!!!

Happy Birthday to Angus and Squiddy! Sorry it's late, I hope you both had a fantastic day!

Happy Anniversary to Becca and Brian!! Wasn't it one year ago today that you first tried the Melting Pot?

Wilma, I'm sorry to hear about the loss of Fred's grandma!

Shannon, how is the moving going, lady? I got your text but was too lazy to reply right then and then I forgot to!! Love ya, lady!

I agree with Yoda, if you're not on facebook, you should join!

Man it feels like a long time since I talked to you hags! I got really sick again with Strep Throat and Bronchitis at the same time! I took my full course of antibiotics (the 5-day Z-pack) but I am nowhere near back to normal yet. I can't believe I got Strep a second time, but I am not the only one. Nearly everyone in my class (including my assistant) who got Strep the first time, got it again. So I'm not sure if it was a new strain, or if we never got completely over it the first time.

I'm still seeing Joe, he's coming here next weekend for three days. We are getting along well, but we have both been so busy, it's been hard to find time to schedule a visit. It will have been six weeks since he was here last, so we are about due for a visit!

What's everyone up to?

Good afternoon, Sassies! What's up?

Bonnie, it was good to hear from you! I hope you feel better soon - strep sucks! What is your schedule like in the summer?

I am getting ready for my inlaws to visit for the night and to send Barney off to camp tomorrow. He's attending a swim camp at UVA, sleeping in the dorms. They eat, sleep and breathe swimming for 6 days with other like-minded kids. I hope he likes it - he's done several sleep away camps before but none that are this focused.

Wally has developed a preference for sleeping on his back with his front legs in the air and his back legs spread apart. I think he's just proud of his new appendages. Neuter countdown - 9 days!

Angie- I need the scoop on UP. You can pm me if you don't want to spoil the fun, but I need to know what about it is sad before I take BamBam. He's still a bit of a mess right now and I don't want to take him if it will be too upsetting. Thanks, lady!

Becca - How was the anniversary? Did you get a present from Chet?

Hi Tricia, Shannon, Mel, Julie, Judi and Squid! Aloha to all lurkers!
