Still Sassy after all this time!

Afternoon my fabulous friends!

Do you ever truly know how much C.R.A.P. you've accumulated until you start to pack up your house? Methinks not. And of course, Ryan's life wouldn't be the same if I threw out his box of assorted electrical/computer/video game cables that has been stored under a bed for 7 years.:rolleyes1

We bought a house!!!! Fingers crossed (once more). Now we're negotiating closing date, in a probably futile effort to not have to live with MIL for three weeks in between homes...

Welcome back Julie! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Bex, So sorry to hear about your FIL. Hope he makes a rapid recovery! Yay for your floors, Boo for all of the prep work!!! And Boo to the first boy who skateboards/scooters/otherwise defaces those floors!

Wilma-- Maybe if you stopped buying the bacon-flavored leash...:confused3

Help my dearest Sassies, I have been kidnapped and thrown into a trunk. Please try to find me (just don't look at WDW)! ;)

Judi, such good news about your mom! Power of prayers.

Tricia, hope you are having a great time!

Wilma, are you ready for summer at the pool? I'm just ready for summer. Oh, Chet's friends try to raid my tomatoes and corn, but I just stick him out on the side of the shed to show them what happens if they mess with my fresh goodness! A little Godfatherish, but whatever works.

Bonnie, a trip back to the mother land sound like fun!

Shannon, crossing my fingers for a quick closing date, I can relate to not wanting to live with mil even for 3 weeks. We almost had to, thank goodness everyone was willing to move fast and felt sorry for us since I was 8.5 months pregnant and wanted us to be able to bring Justin home to our new home instead of the inlaws.

Squiddy, I'll send the authorities to the Grand Floridian to see if they can find you!

Julie, hope you had a great time too!

Hi Angie, Meli and Kimmy!

Just got a call from Brian, looks like father in law is going to have double bypass asap. Prayers for him would be appreciated!

Prayers being said, Becca. Oh, and keep going all Godfather on those deer - they are pesky!

What shall we do about the squid in the trunk?:confused3

Shannon - Hooray for a new abode!:cool1::banana::banana: Describe, please!

Julie, we are glad you are back. Did Atlas miss you?

Shall we do the Hustle or the Bump, Sassy ladies? I say Bump!:cutie:

Prayers being said for your FIL Becca.

I vote for the Running Man. A little 80's, yes, but still more current than either Hustle or Bump!:dancer:
"
And now, back to my regularly scheduled programming... The World of Cramming Your Junk Into Cardboard Boxes."

You know the box rule, don't you, Shannon? Any box that does not get unpacked within three months (the exception being holiday stuff) gets thrown out unopened. If you can live without it for 3 months, you can do without it forever!

Mr. FofP is in Atlantic City, having a guys weekend with some old buddies and the boys and I are doing our own personal I Love Lucy marathon, complete with a taco and strawberry shortcake :confused3 dinner. Hope everyone had a great day!

Since Mr. FofP has set the gambling example, let's each make a bet on how many times Tricia has ridden Splash Mountain. I'm going to say 3 times. What say you, Sassies?

How's your FIL, Becca? He made it into BamBam's bedtime prayers tonight (and grace at dinner too!) Hope everything is going well.

Did Squid ever get out of the trunk?

Good Morning Sassies, I'm back and Mickey and friends sends their regards. We had a great trip, the week went by all too fast and my legs are really tired so I guess you could call that a successful week. I think I mentioned that we stayed at the Bonnet Creek in a four bedroom condo. That sucker was 2500 square feet and oh so nice. We were on the 15th floor, had an EPCOT view and watched the fireworks every night from our balcony. It was so nice to have all that space but in a strange way I missed being cramed into a Disney bus. I guess you have to take the good with the bad.
First the rain.........well it did rain every day except the last day but it really didn't interfere with our plans. It was beautiful every morning into early afternoon. Only once did we have to wait out a storm. All the other days we must have timed it right and were inside an attraction while the rain came. It never lasted very long and really helped to cool things off a bit.
Eating..........I have to say one of the best meals we had all trip was at T-Rex. That place is really cool, the Caveman punch (with lots of rum) came to me in a blinking cup and my whole family enjoyed the food. Kelsie and I had some kind of grilled chicken in a fried pizza dough wrap. Mark and Colin had ribs and chicken and Kendall had the shrimp. We will definitely go there again. Our usual place to eat on our first day is Rain Forest Cafe but I think we just found a replacement. We went to Ohana for breakfast and that was our favorite breakfast ever at Disney. Chef Mickey (for dinner) was just ok and we probably won't bother going there again.
It felt very wierd not being able to go on Space Mountain over and over again. It was closed for refurbishment which we knew ahead of time but still missed it terribly. Here's a sign that your kids really are growing up. They all said that the Magic Kingdom isn't their favorite park any longer.:sad1: It's a toss up between Animal Kingdom and EPCOT.

More later. I just heard the dryer go off and there is a pile of laundry calling my name.

Good morning Sassies! Well, I have most of my hardwood floor down. Brian did it this weekend in between running to the hospital to visit his dad. He had quadruple bypass Friday morning and has had complications ever since. They decided last night that they would sedate him again and give him a breathing tube since he was having problems breathing on his own because of pain from gas build up. I don't understand it all, but at least he's resting now.

Thanks for the prayers. Brian's mom is trying to be brave, but she is exhausted.

Shannon, how's the MRSA? Are you all healed? Have fun in box land. That is not a job I envy!

Wilma, did Mr. FofP hit the right slot machine and win you a fortune?

Tricia, glad you had a good time. I'm glad T Rex was good, Justin picked that as one of his restaurant choices for August. I love the Ohana breakfast too, I think the characters are the best there.

Hi Judi, Julie, Meli, Bonster, Sqiddy and Angie!

Good morning, Sassies! Welcome home, Tricia! I am light on the knowledge of TRex restaurant - where is it? It sounds yummy! It's sad when the MK is not the favorite any more, isn't it? Our babies are growing up!

Becca - Were they able to unblock all of your FIL's arteries? Nothing will make you feel more like you have been run over by a truck than bypass surgery. The pain can be so bad. Prayers for you and your family! Are you thrilled with your floors? Are these the floors you have been working for so many weekends? :cool1:

Mr. FofP's grandma has taken a turn for the worse and the outlook is not optimistic at this point - she's just spiraling. Prayers for my MIL and her brother would be great - they are in a lot of pain. Thanks, Sassies!

Hi Bonnie, Judi, Angie, Squid, Shannon, Julie and Mel! Have a great Monday!

Morning everyone!

This past weekend I was in Sherril Fords, NC at a lake house with some friends. So much fun. Still recovering from it all though. :)

*hugs* to All!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGIE!!!!

Hope you had a great day, even if it WAS a Monday, and probably was 2000 degrees in AZ.

Welcome home Tricia! Your trip sounds fabulous. Can't wait to hear more!

Bex, I'll keep praying for FIL and MIL. Keep us posted. Also, can't wait to see pics of your floor! Chet is going to be jealous-- he'll no longer be the crowning glory of your living room!

MRSA is all cleared up, thank goodness. Few more days of meds, and all will be right with the world. I shall post pictures of the madness that is my house. It looks like a warehouse!

More prayers for Mr. FoP's grandmother. Even when someone has lived a wonderful long life, it's still so hard to see them leave.:sad2:

Oooh! Lake houses are so much fun. Glad you had fun Mel! How's that hangover?

Hi Judi, Bonnster, Squid, Julie, Kimmy, & everyone else!

Happy Birthday, Angie!:cheer2::cheer2:party::jumping1::bday: Did you get any, exciting birthday presents or was it a Wilma and Fred birthday where Wilma gets a new bowling ball? Not that I have anything against bowling, but it's not exactly the most feminine gift!

Hope it was a great day!

Good morning Sassies! Fil is doing a little better, he's off the ventilator and breathing completely on his own again. His color is good, but he is still very loopy. Yesterday he had mil call Brian and told him he had to see him now. Brian rushed to the hospital and the reason he had to see him right then was to tell them he had throat goobers and couldn't get them out. He is not a funny person at all and the things he says are sooooo funny.

Angie,

This is much singing as you want me to do! Hope it was a great day!

Wilma, prayers being said for Mr FofP's family. Let's get through this and have a stress free, healthy summer. Deal?

Shannon, I shall photograph my floors today. I purchased a new area rug yesterday. Of course the one I fell in love with was the highest priced one. Why does that always happen to me?:confused3

Judi, where the heck are you? I'm going to send out my brother in laws police dog to pick up your scent!

Julie, more trip details please!

Tricia, trip pics please!

Bonnie, is school done yet? Are you teaching this summer? Did you know I found a tick in Brendan's ear just now?

Squiddy, how was the kidnapping? Have you escaped and taken a spin on Dumbo yet?

Have a great day ladies!

MRSA is all cleared up, thank goodness. Few more days of meds, and all will be right with the world. I shall post pictures of the madness that is my house. It looks like a warehouse!

Oooh! Lake houses are so much fun. Glad you had fun Mel! How's that hangover?
I'm glad the MRSA has cleaned up!

The hangover is gone ;)

Good morning Sassies! Fil is doing a little better, he's off the ventilator and breathing completely on his own again. His color is good, but he is still very loopy. Yesterday he had mil call Brian and told him he had to see him now. Brian rushed to the hospital and the reason he had to see him right then was to tell them he had throat goobers and couldn't get them out. I'm glad your FIL is feeling better even though a little loopy.

Angie, Happy Birthday!

FoP, :grouphug:

Good Morning. Becca I'm so glad to hear that your FIL is better. Wilma prayers said for the FOP grandma.

Here's a not so good story of something stupid I did on our trip. Last Thursday we were watching the fireworks from our balcony and in the dark I was trying to fool with my camera. I wanted to change the setting to the fireworks scene to try and get some better shots. Anyway I started pushing buttons on I deleted all my pictures. I felt just sick to my stomach :guilty: I started crying because I was so mad at myself. Yesterday I took my card back to the store that I bought the camera from. They are sending it away to try to recover the lost pictures. I had over 200 just from Disney. :sad2: I don't think it looks too good because the lady tried to recover them in the store and she said she didn't see anything on my card. She's sending it off and supposedly they have a much better program at the main office. It cost $45.00 for them to try and recover the pictures but I'll get my money back if they can't help me. At least my sister was with us the whole trip and I can get a copy of all of her pictures but I still want my own. :sad1: So it might be quite a while before I can post any pictures at all :scared: I'll find out on Thursday if they can help me.

Angie I'm so sorry I missed your birthday. I hope you had a great day. What did you get? Where did you go? Details please.

Shannon yea :woohoo: on the new house. I hope everything falls in place this time around.

Becca I thought you already got your hardward floors a few months ago. :confused3

Mel how was your weekend at the lake house? That sounds like lots of fun.

Where oh where is Judi and did Squiddy ever get found?

Oh Tricia, aren't cameras a pain?!! I have done just what you described before and it is sooooooo disappointing. I hope they are able to retrieve them! If they aren't, you can always make a little journal about the trip. Your descriptions of the trip will trigger pictures in your memory for years to come, even if you don't have actual pictures. I have started doing this because I am so bad about remembering my camera!

Thanks for the prayers, guys! Mr. FofP's grandma is still hanging in, but they have stopped her antibiotics, heart meds, etc. and are just keeping her comfortable with morphine and oxygen. She's comfortable and peaceful.

I have to brag about Wally. He's a terrible barker, so we have been working on it in obedience class. He gets a time out in a crate covered with a sheet in class if he barks at another dog (he's overly friendly, and imagines that everyone would like to drop whatever they are doing and come play with him if he just extends the invitation!). So, last week we did 29 time outs and it took him 35 minutes of class to hush up. This week - only 4 time outs! He saw the crate when he walked in and gave a little groan! However, he got the gold star for the night for being the most improved pup. And, as an added bonus, all of the other students still have their hearing upon leaving class!

Sleep well, Sassies!

Yeah for Wally. By next class he won't have to sit in time out at all. :yay:

Judi, it's been over a week since you've been here..........I miss you.

So how's everyone on this Hump Day? We need some pictures.

Becca I hope your FIL is doing better and Wilma prayers also said for the FOP grandma. I'm glad to hear she is resting peacefully.

Today we are heading to Michael's to get some crafty things for the kids to do this summer.

Hi Sassies! Fil is doing much, much better and will probably be moved to a regular room today. Thanks again for the prayers, they really work!

Tricia, I was supposed to have my floors awhile ago, but I have to order them through my dad's store and the supplier was doing a transition so I had to wait to get them. So sorry about your pictures. I haven't had that happen with my digital, but I can't tell you how many rolls of regular film I ruined by opening the film door when I wasn't supposed to.

Wilma, yeah for Wally! Doggie timeouts, what a great idea! If he needs a playmate Speck is up for the job. He thinks all dogs want to play with him too, he isn't a barker, but he doesn't realize not all dogs want to be his friend. I'm very glad Mr. FofP's grandma is comfortable, if thats all they can do for her at least she isn't in pain.

Meli, sounds like you had a fun weekend in NC!

Good morning Shannon, Judi, Bonnie, Squiddy, Angie, Julie......

Good morning, Sassies! I got up early this morning to get BamBam off to school and Wally off to camp. I drove BamBam to school and then drove another 40 minutes round trip to get Wally to camp and I come home and Barney is still snoozing! Those 5a.m swim practices are just around the corner, and we've definitely hit the adolescent sleep pattern - UGH! I may need to get a cattle prod.

Becca, Wally would love to hang with Speck. Wally has never met a dog he doesn't like!:dogdance: He can teach Speck herding games, and Speck can teach Wally hunting games! Just send him on over and if you have any spare frogs that need swim team, send them along too. The previous frog has left our family to set up a dive shop in Grand Cayman. He's living the dream!

Tricia - I love going to Micheals for craft stuff - it always seems so full of possibilities! Will Colin do crafts, or is it mainly for the girls? How's his baseball season going?

Judi - Where for art thou? Did you get carried off by mosquitoes while camping?:confused3

Shannon - where are the box house pictures? Inquiring minds want to see into your house!

Angie - Where are you, girl? Did Dwight surprise you with a cruise to Antarctica for your birthday? Did Gertie finally drive you to the loony bin? We miss you!

Hi Bonnie, Squid, Julie, Mel et al! Have a happy Hump Day!

Howdy Sassies! Thanks for all the b-day wishes! We went out for a nice dinner and also went to see Up. Up was really good, but there a coupla' parts in there that you may need a tissue. So sad! :sad1: It isn't my favorite Pixar movie, but it was definitely really good. :thumbsup2

Becca~so glad your FIL is doing better. What are you and the boys planning for this summer? Lots of swimming I bet. You'll have to post a pic when your floors are all done.

Tricia~I'm glad you had a great time at WDW. So sorry about the pictures! Fingers crossed that the main office can recover them for you. Modern technology is a blessing and a curse sometimes! :sad2:

Shannon~have you fallen into one of your boxes? So happy that everything with the old and new houses is working out for you!! :flower3:

Wilma~I can send Sholow over to help get Barney up in the morning. He has decided that he wants to get up between 3:30 and 4:30 every morning, and of course he doesn't want to be the only one up so he wakes us up, too! Yay for Wally!! Maybe I missed it, but what kind of camp is he going to?

Meli~a weekend at the lake sounds so fun!! I've heard NC is beautiful.

Judi~where are you????

Did anyone rescue Squiddy from the trunk? I hope so-rotting seafood doesn't smell too good! :teeth:
